    I backed the original Mythic Legions Kickstarter because I wanted to create a Masters of the Universe Classics diorama. I needed skeleton's in the same scale. Years later and Mythic Legions has become my very favorite thing to collect.
    My advice to anyone who is interested in this line is to learn patience. Mythic Legions is not instant gratification. It's hurry up and wait. Pre-order what you like and accept that it will take time for the figures to be made for you.
    Also, the Master's of the Universe tribute figures will never be remade. Everything else will come back in the future. Jump on the tribute figures when they are offered.

    Feel like this is the line where you can pick and chose. I missed the earlier figures but got in on time to get all the 4 horsemen. I don’t miss some of the older figures at all so don’t feel like paying Ebay price. Besides you will sometime get 2nd chance to buy it when four horsemen put old figure on their sites again. BBTS will get them if you missed out on the preorder window albeit at a slight mark up.

    I went to Legions Con back in November, and Power Con before that. It was fun seeing the Horsemen crowd at both events. I met a lot of passionate fans for the brand and for the Four Horsemen. I am though, someone who in just the past year that has got into Mythic Legions and Cosmic Legions, but I'm beginning to dip out. The secondhand market for the older figures is definitely up there. Plus, space is shrinking in my house.

    I feel like getting into Mythic Legions as a European is even more daunting. Prices, shipping are higher. And if you don't wanna pay import taxes yourself from American sellers on E-bay you need to buy from European second sellers and prices can get ridiculous.
    Even official resellers are expensive.
    I've been exclusively collecting figures with a "demonic" aesthetic. And that means Arethyr wave, and ho boy, good luck trying to find reasonable deals on the Arethyr.
    Hell I started repainting and customizing figs because of that.

  • @robzamora79
    @robzamora79 6 месяцев назад +3

    Bill is not wrong in it looking back just forward. When I got in to the line one wave had just ended and new one was coming in so I had to find a retail shop that still had preorders available. I also went looking for older ones that at the time were still pretty affordable and attainable and fortunately I was able to get a good majority of the big players of the line. I’m now down to 2 figures on my list of past figure I’m trying to get. I never got them back then because I thought they would still be easily attainable and affordable. That’s really not the case as the years go by the harder the are to find and pricier they are. Talking about anywhere from a low $110 all the way up to $1000. Unless they make the “all star” list. So unless you can afford it and are comfortable spending that kind of money then by all means go for it. Otherwise, just start collecting the new figures coming out. Older ones look cool and all, but the perks of the newer figures coming out are that they have more range of motions (articulation) come with extra heads, hands and weapons, and they come with soft goods. Older figure are pretty limited in all those aspects. And it’s true. You can’t beat the ML community. I too hate Facebook and most likely wouldn’t be on there if it wasn’t for the cabal. I’ve met a lot of cool people on there, a lot that I call my friends now, and it’s a great way to find figure you’re looking for that you most likely wouldn’t find anywhere else. Some people are even nice and generous enough that might even hook you up for free. And lastly, Matt, that last figure you showed the red / goldfish mercurian figure, his name is Vitus, not Lord Vitroiuosly or whatever you called him, c’mon man! 🤓😁

    I just can't believe they based their figures on the 1/12th scale. The 1/10th scale has been establishing itself has the mid-high range price for "prestige" figures. At 1/12th, those are literally toy-sized. Popular, yes, but it is a legacy size. For adults, the 1/6th and 1/10th sizes seem more logical from a handling and detail level. I look at the wonderful Mythic Legion figures and they seem like a bunch of dwarven Humanoids and creatures. It almost seems like a strategic error. The Cosmic Legions, being alien, seem to have a little more leeway and have more exotic sizes. I am hoping that when "humans" or human derived humanoids are introduced into the line, they are presented as evolved to the point that they are physically proportioned to a new average human height of about 6'11' (or about 7") for males and about 6' 6" (about 6.6") for females. Considering the starting prices, the 1/10th scale should have been the target.
