Hi Denny I saw you walking down Georgetown, sad how the offices operate, people work 7 days a week, when you have to pay a bill, some people should go different lunch breaks to accommodate customers. Guyana is beautiful I work for Bookers now Guyana stores for many years. My brother was a teacher at Cummings Lodge secondary school.
I am a Trini in Florida and I'm so happy for Guyana and their new found wealth. I also believe in President Ali's mantra that it is One Guyana and I realize you are not just talking but walking the walk...blessings to you and your family
OMG Denny, i visited Guyana last October after 40 years and I love love Guyana thanks to you for showing our beautiful country and the improvements lovely! Thanks again for the work that you do much appreciated!
Guyana is developing very well, and Guyanese need to help to preserve the beauty of the country. Most of us left Guyana in the early 70s to further our studies because there were hardships then. Our parents had to queue to buy foodstuffs, and there were always shortages of must commodities. Your video of Georgetown looks so clean and inviting but still needs more renovation. Needs more pedestrian crossings. There are thieves in every country 😮. There seem to be improvement on roadworks to Ogle. I love to see the development of Kersaint park and L.B.I. Love those new houses, but is it advisable to have bungalows in a land of many waters!
I will be coming home to Guyana for the second time since I left home at 12 years old. I'll be home in June of this year 2023. The first time I came was in 1999, and now I'll be coming home for the second time, and I cannot wait to be home! I've been watching all about what's going on at home through your Channel.
I was born at Davis Memorial in 1970. Amazing video of my region. Left Guyana in 1976. Overdue for a trip. Think about Guyana since we left.....❤👍🙂. Seaforth Street is my home.
can,t get enough of guyana. always looking foward to view guyana through your lens, loving everything i see. o my beautiful guyana. stay safe and god bless you.
Hi, I thoroughly enjoyed all of your walks that I have seen so far. Hoping to view plenty more videos. How you transported me back to my Parents homeland and gave me some much appreciated history about GT, Native Amerindian villages. Anything on the Pomeroon would be gratefully appreciated. From British born Guyanese. 🇬🇾 🇬🇧
A day in the life of Denny the roving reporter in Guyana 🇬🇾 Your walking tour and driving was very informative especially the drive through Eccles Village residential area with its mega homes. The government offices operates like those in Trinbago 🇹🇹 which frustrates me to no end 😂 Your friend/fan from Grenada 🇬🇩 said her uncle was the late Prime Minister of Grenada, Eric Gairy who was my father's best friend. Dad spent a lot of time and even lived in Grenada at various times as our paternal grand father was originally from Grenada cocoa planters and plantation owners. Small world when we are from the Caribbean. To quote you Denny, "Life cannot get better than that."
Yes this brings back memories of my life 1970-82.nice life and school next to Tower hotel, and Saturday after shopping we went to Pegasus Hotel to hang out, swimming and sometimes evening drive in Cinema and then back home to land of Canaan. Nice to see your Videos, stay safe brother.
I really enjoy your videos all around gt. Keep up the good work. I felt gt since 1985, and haven't been back but yuh living in Georgia, it's yuh in gt.
Such a fun video… we love the Georgetown walking tours! So many good memories. The best part is how much you clearly love your fans😊 and how you went went to the Burger King and Thai spot at the end! We were hoping you were going to visit when you drove past it earlier in the video! Keep up the great work 😊
So I'm a Guyanese living in Toronto and haven't been home in 37 years. I've been wanting to bring my kids "back home" to see where their roots are (they were both born in Toronto) but wanted to bring them when things were "better". Over the years I've heard that things were developing "slowly but surely" and I've been skeptical. Reason being is that when I was living there that's all we heard ... and it never seemed to get better. Fast forward to a few years ago when I heard that Guyana "struck oil" and NOW things were REALLY going to get better. Well, after your tour of Georgetown I was kinda disappointed to be honest, because everything looked so dilapidated. BTW, I used to work in the department where you went to get your rates and taxes paid at City Hall, (this is in the early 80's when Cyril Romalo used to be Treasurer) so I was pleased to see that FORTY FIVE YEARS LATER they are finally getting a facelift! There are a LOT of new buildings but most of the city (that i could see from your tour anyway) looked worn and poorly maintained, so my thoughts were "where the hell is all this oil money going"? Then you left the city and i was like "ahhhhh ... now we talkin'! :) BIG roads , LOTS of new developments. I was especially blown away by Eccles because I was born and grew up there ... but THAT was not the Eccles that I grew up in. VERY impressed. As you mentioned it looked like a new subdivision in Florida! Very impressed with your video, your videography skills are up to par ... smooth ... panning was the right speed and the commentary was informative and impressive. Subscribed!
Hi Danny that's my friend Mr. Winslow ❤. Hi Winslow how are you. Thanks Danny I miss my friend I will see him soon I am coming for a visit. I hope I get to meet you.
Demico House the Famous Chick en the Ruff and milk shake and Ice cream that was our spot when ever we go to Georgetown have a Blessed day Denny and a wonderful weekend
Watching from London. I have to be very careful with my phone in London. This is always going on here. They are also snatching watches. So times are desperate all over.
Love the videos keep it up and my uncle in Schenectady told me about your channel he is big fan his name is uncle radish when you make Another videos in Guyana shout in name in the videos
Thanks for sharing your video of going to City Hall to pay your taxes. This is so unacceptable that they close from 12 to 1 but if we are moving ahead, we need to change the lunch time closure and have others fit in during this period that one person goes on lunch. I also heard you say that there is only 1 cashier, lord help me that she doesn't get sick on the job because that will mean the office is closed until she is better? Thanks again for promoting Guyana.
Hello Mr. Persaud. How are you? Are there facilities to accommodate people with a wheelchair. Such as transportation and hotels with bathroom safety with bars on the walls to hold on to? Quite a few people unble to visit Guyana because of lack of safety accommodations. There should be a law in Guyana accommodate the disable. Thank you Mr. Persaud, God's blessings always to you and your family.
I love your video and personality. Do they have a beach there? If so I want to visit. I live in U.S. outside of Washington DC. If I visit I want to meet you in person. You seem so lovely and fun. You sound like you might be a Christian like me.
Well there are developments everywhere then Guyana should build to accommodate the disabled who only can use a wheelchair to get around. Vehicles with ramps, hotels with bathrooms to accommodate as well. There are individuals with the money who built these buildings without thinking of the disables. Rich people think of the other % before you build.
The one thing you do not mention here is the dress code for entering these Government buildings. We had problems entering. But when these realised we were Foreign. These allowed us in :)))
Guyana is a beautiful country with beautiful people, love from India 😍

Georgetown the future Dubai of the Caribbean! If Venuzuela doesn't get to grab or 'steal' the oil from Guyana, Denny?
