If I had a 3d scanner I'd scan my vintage Wataru doll made by Takara. I just think it would be neat to have tiny copies or to be able to make copies of parts to make replacements. Sometimes vintage dolls can be really played with.
This is like Mini brands but homemade which i like and it would be great if Mini Brands actually made mini-Marvel Legends for their brands of mini toys and products since they make other kinds of mini toys!
Duane always bringing the heat!! Is there a huge quality difference in going with the Revopoint vs photogrammetry for the 3D scans? Or is it more efficiency/convenience with limited quality differential
I think the main advantage to using a 3D-scanner is the convenience and efficiency - it's a LOT quicker than Photogrammetry. As far as quality, I didn't notice a huge difference in the final models, but I'm guessing you could technically make better scans with Photogrammetry if you have a lot of high-quality images to work with. It really depends on the quality of the images and the object you're making a model of.
I have a vintage Jurassic Park Microverse velociraptor. Its been my favorite possession ever since I was a kid. I keep it with me at all times. Id love to be able to replicate it and give it full articulation. But with it being only 33mm in length, this will be extremely challenging
Amazing! 👏 If I had a 3D scanner, I would use it first and foremost to scan any parts to repair any equipment/appliances were they to break down due to that part. The world is changing on this level to the point of where manufacturers whom purposely made parts to breakdown without selling said parts (thus making the consumer buy new equipment/appliance) a thing of the past. Repairing things this way is such a gamechanger on so many levels and reduces so much waste. It's mindblowing! On a creative level I would use it especially to duplicate extra accessories for my action figures.
Please give me toys 🧸 for Barbie and Wingz for my Niece please…I shall pay 💰 you for the expense, I don’t have such a luxury for super printer 🖨 so give me barbies, Disney Princess 👸🏾 and She-Ra, That Netflix She-ra tv 📺 show is sexy❣️
Very cool micro figures. This smaller scale, even smaller than M.A.S.K's 3" figures and Marvel's 2.5" figures, might be Hasbro's way of saving plastic these days as their goal. ;)
I like normal people, without fake forced smile, and with something cool to say... This Dude is one of those people :) ps. Mini beast is not happy about himself XD
The mini figures remind me of my little transformer and if i had that scanner id do like nerf guns and robots who wouldn’t like a tiny toy gun or robot?
Hasbro really fucked us over dropping the 4" line - one of the reasons I got into 3D printing was that. If there was a way the 6" ML figures could all be scanned and catalogued some day, that'd be amazing. some of them with more difficult paint apps would be out of bounds for me, but for most of them it'd really help with my customs. I've been mostly using models ripped from mobile games, though. It would be really nice if there was an easy way to cut up any of these for articulation - likely it would be easier with the scanned figures since they'd be shaped for the joints already.
I'd scan my favorite horror movie collectablecollectibles, Hellraiser puzzle box, freddys glove, miniature busts of Jason Voorheeseatherface etc.Im a horror geek ok!!
I get most of my brushes from my local hobby/craft store, but I'm sure you can find similar brushes online. I really like the ultra fine pointed Tamiya HG modeling brushes.
I would print helmets, armor and any gear for my original characters designs I’ve drawn so I could go to conventions dressed as my original characters. That’s a Great way to get your original creations noticed. If they’re standing in front of you then I would hand out the comic I created of that character for them to read. I’ve wanted to do this for a long time. Great advertising 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Amazing work as always, man! As a miniature painter and toy collector myself, this is totally cool. Our toys deserve toys too! I'd probably scan/print all the 90's ToyBiz X-Men, I simply adore that entire era of action figures. Cheers!

I like normal people, without fake forced smile, and with something cool to say... This Dude is one of those people :) ps. Mini beast is not happy about himself XD

So, was Ant-Man too obvious? Or was there not an Ant-Man Marvel Legends figure?
Haha Ant-Man would be perfect for this. Unfortunately, I don't currently own an Ant-Man figure, so I couldn't scan it.
