I work at an IT company. When a critical ticket comes in, I play an endless loop of you four spinning round while the kitchen is on fire on the wall-mounted monitors. Somehow, it actually gets us working faster. This is the one and only time the OX team has made work MORE productive. XD

You notice who had the extinguisher the whole time? I think Jane secretly wanted the whole kitchen to burn.
It's quite clear she was deliberately choosing to extinguish the least significant branches of the fire and frequently stopped to watch the discord...
Ellen's imminent implosion was obviously a rigged decoy to distract us. Jane is always the biggest threat guys, never forget that!

He was playing with us in spirit, and by that we mean he'd poured highly flammable alcohol all over the surfaces.

As a kitchen manager, I can confirm that this is a very accurate representation of working in a kitchen. Right down to the fire and the screaming...
I've always heard that "too many cooks spoil the broth," but I've always been unclear on how they would affect stew. Guess that mystery's cleared up, now.
During the holiday season, many people like to cook large, festive meals to share with family and friends alike. If you choose to do so, do be careful when choosing where to cook said meal to ensure safety and serenity. Signs of an unsafe or stressful working environment include shifting counters, kitchen layouts which prevent you from accessing most of the tools required to cook, and pools of drowning-depth water. Also beware of fire! Keep a fire extinguisher on hand when cooking highly flammable dishes, such as soup, and keep an eye on your stove or oven whenever they are on.

Ellen reminds me of my sister. She's so lovely and likable - until she finds herself plunged into a chaotic and stressful environment, where she suddenly becomes this fiery demon and her voice goes high like a kettle at the boil. She's gonna blow!
I can understand why you didn't bring Mike, he would've been more interested in starting fires rather than putting them out

Not content with gloating over corpses in Hitman (No Subtitle), Andy is now dressing as a reindeer after killing eight of them in RDR.

Having watched this, I now know that the real Christmas miracle is that this team produces consistently great content on a regular schedule. For this we are grateful and nervous.

I've watched this video like 20 times. When I'm having a shit day, I can watch this video and think to myself "at least your kitchen isn't covered in flames while you scream and spin ineffectively." I love you guys.

You could probably get a really good rhythm going with a group of people working together. Have two people making the food, one on dishes and one recieving the ready to go food to send out.
Jane held onto the fire extinguisher and didn't use it. She wanted it all to burn!
This might be my favourite OX Lets play. The sheer chaos is amazing, plus I'd buy a 'Ellen Rose: Kitchen Tzar' tshirt if you made one.
As perspective, consider that Jane--Jane--sounds afraid of Ellen.
That last round was an excellent show of absolute professionalism, but the round with all the flames made me laugh till I cried.
10/10, would watch again.
well i think its fair to say that outside extra should absolutely not be in charge of Christmas cooking after they burned down the house, but at least they are warm

I don't think this is the most appropriate way of introducing Luke and Ellen to the traditional burning of the christmas tree. Especially since just about the only things that were not on fire were the trees...

i don't think anyone really goes to one of these restaurants to get their great quality made food in a timely manner. they should be going to see you all running around frantically, smashing into walls, murdering each other only to get the wrong dishes made. in short, dinner theater

The obvious optimum arrangement is two people chopping, one person on the stoves and the fourth person checks orders, washes dishes and takes over in the event of death.

I would personally love to go to a restaurant where I hear their first attempt sounds coming from the kitchen (“AH ITS A FIRE”, “THATS NOT HOW YOU USE A FIRE EXTINGUISHER”, etc). It would be lovely.

*snork* Okay, I'm pretty sure that poor Jane was the one most often pushed into the water on that first level -- just could never get out of the way of those shifting counters in time! And man, that second level was a clusterf-ck that first time around! I didn't know negative scores were possible either! XD But seeing it all come together in the end as you finally figured out a team system that worked was delightful. :) Now we just need an episode of this with facecam so we can see Ellen's rage at her teammates properly. XD

Rewatching the Overcooked videos at Thanksgiving makes me feel better about being reminded that I set the oven on fire last year and that's why I'm on potato peeling duty this year.
