Hi how are you
I love finding a new video from you in the morning 🎉 And I can’t be the only one in the world wishing that this quilt was for me ❤ Wonderful 🤩 Thanks Beth for sharing your amazing ideas 👏👏🇬🇧
Jane Austen would approve!
Hi Karen
Hi Karen
What kind of sewing machine do you use for your machine quilting ?..
My son surprised me with the news that he was getting married in 3 and a half weeks. His fiance LOVES literature, like Jane Austen's, and Anne of Green Gables, etc. I insisted that we have SOME kind of shower for her, but since she was already settled in an apt and didn't need anything, she requested that anything we got her 'come from the heart'.
So I decided on a quilt! Lol
I decided on 12 inch squares, because... you know- 3 weeks!. I managed to find fabric that had chapter pages of classics printed on it! One was Emma (perfect!), the others were Jane Eyre, Swiss Family Robinson, Snow White, etc. So cool!
I bought a few masculine fabrics, but the others were floral and represented Persuasion, Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, and Emma.
I even found Star Wars for my son. Lol
Anyway, I was able to get the main part done in a week, and the edging done a few days later. I did not "quilt" it, but secured the layers by stitching hearts throughout it.
She LOVED it!!!
Gorgeous fabric and complimentary blocks!! I admire your creativity so much!!

Once again you amaze me! So beautiful! My sewing machine died! I have sewn on it for 56 years. I am heartbroken! I feel like both my arms have been cut off! I thought that the day I didn’t sew I would die but nope! Still here!
I feel for you. The sewing machine was with you for so many memories. I hope you can do some pretty embroidery or try English paper piecing in the meantime of getting it fixed or replaced.
Sorry to hear. Hope you’re able to get it fixed or replaced soon!🙂

Aahhh...this would go well in an old Scottish inn we once stayed in when we were young. It brings back lovely memories. Thanks!
This is a beautiful way to show off the big florals- the companion blocks are also interesting, but don’t overshadow. It’s a lovely combination and the perfect way to balance large and small florals. Thank you!😻
