- How do you transform a 1,100-square-foot condo on Toronto’s Queen Street West that's stuck in the '90s (complete with glass block walls and mirrored closets)? Principal designer Emilia Wisniewski of Studio 1NINE1 has the fixings for a comfy, up-to-date look, including a new cove ceiling, custom furniture pieces and walnut millwork.

I really hope someone can explain to me the logic of a banquet with a round table. One person seated on the banquet has a comfortably usable table surface in front of them. Do the rest eat off their laps? And "extra seating for company"? Not if they're eating!

I don’t get it. The work is very predictable. I guess the big strength is good function but the look/feel is not warm nor inviting and certainly not original or trendsetting as others have suggested. Function is the priority for all of us but does need to have a soul as well.
Agree with the mirrored closets 😂. Even my gorgeous 20 yr old daughter wouldn’t want to see herself 1st thing in morning much less us older ppl

Not a fan of the fireplace behind the sofa and sofa in the middle of the room. Fridge should have been integrated with the cabinetry -- too much of a focal point as is and doesn't conform to minimalist aesthetic. Love the dining room bench!

Why She always complains and criticizes too much? Yes she is a great designer but that particular comments make her look bad.
This looks like a mess. Orange ugly long couch, then grey/blue couch then green cabinet. add rangom fake plants and it's a mess. I like what they did with the fireplace though. The kitchen looks really bad. to the point, the old ktichen was no worse. Open cabinetry is a bad trend - yes a trend that is going away as poeple are realizing all the shortcomings of it. New design lack space needing for a family. A family of 2 would not have enough space. The rotation of the island was a horrible idea too, considering where the fridge is. The whole design of this is just bad. I am sorry, but this is not very good at all. It's not functional and doesn't look good at all.
Removing marble .putting cheap wallpaper. Collecting few furniture is that what interior designer do ? BTW. That basket light made me 🤮
Well, it couldn't have gotten much worse than what it was, but this is not my cup of tea.
