His entire game is meant to mirror Jordan's game, so if "killer mentality" and "winning rings" (even tho that's a team accomplishment) are emphasized over any other type of analysis, then his career will be elevated in parallel with Jordan's.

Mj played off ball run around screens and made his move quick unlike lebron who runs a very awkward looking offense because of the lack of movement whether thats ball movement or body movement.. McGrady was every bit as talented as LeBron, without the hype, longevity, etc. McGrady was an underrated defender, and excellent passer too.
