@AdrianStagg yeah good on him too jumped off the sinking ship,I followed souths all my life ,when I was a kid we got flogged every week ,I feel like we've gone back to those days ,I just can't get me head around it,in those days we didn't have the side we have now ,we have a representative back line or spine ,aswell as key forwards but we are not firing ,has to be front office I believe.
@@rabbits77 Well Adam was pushed - dysfunctional front office decision - just like allowing latrell & cody to dictate things. It's a team sport and aside from needing team players [which Latrell is not] both the front and back office need to be integral in any team structure. Sam saw that, called it out and then left [as I have] when they refused to recognise the issues or do anything about it. The Bunnies have turned into the "Ostriches" with their heads in the sand.
mitchell is only concerned about himself and no one else if the team is loosing he will just watch the rest of the game on the field..
So basically, Sam calls out the golden boy Latrell's laziness. The club responds by axing Sam.

Not a Bunnies fan, but Burgess was the best thing to happen to Souffs in a long time. He was the embodiment of leadership. Its no wonder he wants to instill that into the current playing group and has little time for players who aren't toeing the line. Souths falling out with him, while defending the well known discipline issues Mitchell has often displayed is not a good sign for their club.

Letting Reynolds walk and now Burgess leaving the coaching staff just goes to show there’s big issues going on and it’s only going to get worse when Wighton arrives next year. It’ll be Trell, Cody and Wighton trying to run the show

Comparing Trell's "leadership" to Sam's? Sam was always for the team first. I don't even follow Souths closely but that much was obvious to everyone who loves the game.

McGuire is too hard on players in training. Every club he goes to, the player group eventually ends up in a dressing room revolt, or feeling disgruntled.

Let's get the logic of this straight. According the journalistic "insights", Sam was worried abiut x,y and z being things that clearly Jason would also be concerned about eg lack of effort etc. So where is the basis for the rift? I just don't get it.

You don't give your best player a free pass on standards, Eels done it for a decade with Hayne and Parramatta made the finals two out of 10 years.
Parramatta made the finals three times when he was there for the first nine years. Hayne also didn't have the same squad to work with that Mitchell has, compare some of the Parramatta teams from the early 2010s to the Souths teams, a world of difference.

The most over-rated player in this South Sydney side is Latrell Mitchell !! He was 5 years ago playing at a much higher standard but perhaps an accumulation of injuries, Marijuana use and too much money have destroyed the Match winning attitude you need to be successful in a long 26 rounds season!!
Jason Demitriou's coaching is unimaginative with strategies in attack that keep on failing again and again !!
The team needs revamping and talent needs to be sought or poached from other clubs or other codes.
