- Project A-Spec mod delivers one of many notable unicorn cars from the pre-2000 era, including the legendary-yet-obscure Renault Twingo which saved Renault as a company and was an icon in Europe but with very little, if any representation in a racing game.
Huge thank you to the Project A-Spec developers for creating this mod for Gran Turismo 2 while still respecting the source materials and the game itself!! In order to play the mod, you can visit their Discord server to download the necessary files as well as the tutorial for playing it.
Alternatively, if you know how to apply a mod to the vanilla GT2's ISO/ROM ver. 1.2 USA (only that version works, any other versions do NOT work), download the patch here and apply it with "xdelta" app (latest patch for the mod on this link is ver. 1.1.1.):

That last part about modern racing games is just so true. I guess the only games that get close to what your saying are the Horizon games, which also have a bunch of shitboxes to play around with, still not enough tho.

You don't have reason to use them in Horizon, every track in that game is clearly made for faster cars
I have to agree, sometimes slower cars in Horizon are depicted merely as a joke, whether intended by the devs or not... but at the very least, their inclusion in the games is something we shouldn't take for granted
