Nimrod NRA/C2 | Gran Turismo 2: Project A-Spec Mod Car History & Review

Gran Turismo 2: Project A-Spec mod delivers one of many notable unicorn cars from the pre-2000 era, including the Nimrod NRA/C2 which is one of the first Group C cars to ever race since its inception but fade to obscurity in modern times. I'm here to discuss its inclusion in the mod, why its presence matters, and how I think we can implement similar cars in video games.
Huge thank you to the Project A-Spec developers for creating this mod for Gran Turismo 2 while still respecting the source materials and the game itself!! In order to play the mod, you can visit their Discord server to download the necessary files as well as the tutorial for playing it.
Alternatively, if you know how to apply a mod to the vanilla GT2's ISO/ROM ver. 1.2 USA (only that version works, any other versions do NOT work), download the patch here and apply it with "xdelta" app (latest patch for the mod on this link is ver. 1.1.1.):

In order to keep the Nimrod NRA/C2 relevant and competitive enough in the game, I use a well-known Gear Trick method which does wonder to the car. To do Gear Trick, first you should put final gear all the way to the right, then pull the Auto setup all the way to the left. NEVER TOUCH THE AUTO SETUP AFTER THIS. Once you pull the Auto setup that way, you can tweak individual gears and the Final gear, and they will be closer ratio than usual.

Hello, its the guy who made the NRA/C2 speaking here, i actually only learned of this car's existence after me visiting the Louwman museum, afterwards i got invested in it and its history. although the car i saw was chassis 001, the one in project a-spec is based on chassis 003 with the funky 4 supports for the wing. I love this car so much
