You are a good man. You are driven to give good service in the mechanical world. Which gives rise to self doubt, unfairly, in a conscientious person. This is Because there are often unknowns which you feel you should already know. But you cannot. ! I’m babbling because I’m a plumber/ heating chap too
I doubt myself alot, I do worry when I'm on jobs if I'm taking too long, the worry always tends to creep in when things aren't going right or I'm struggling. It's never easy, thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated
I would suggest that the person who said Tom makes it look like hard work must be on a wind up.. Anybody who knows anything can see he's at the top of the tree when it comes to carrying out works...the fact is , he delivers and in fact makes it looks easy which often gives the impression to some no it all , that he can do better sitting behind a computer screen
Thanks for the support as always mate, sometimes it is difficult because when you look back at a jobs there are always things that I could have done differently. I always try to show the entire job on my videos, ofton there is an easier solutions but when you have a customer breathing down your neck or are just under pressure I do make errors. It's all about learning, no two jobs are ever the same and every day is a school day.
I'd bet whoever said you make things look hard work, doesnt work in the trades! I'm a plumbing and heating engineer and it looks like hard work because it bloody well is! 😂 Sometimes I wish I'd been a sparky.
Thanks for the support as always mate, it is a really hard job sometimes, I honestly think to myself there must be easier ways of making a living but I keep coming back for more
I went through many different jobs in my younger days, and found I got bored of them pretty quickly. I think the beauty of our trade is it's constantly changing and evolving, I don't think boredom will ever be a problem!
Happy New Year Tom, All the very best for 2024 To the person who said you are making it look hard work, maybe so but looking at what you are doing here, you do it to the benefit of the customers wallet. You could have easily dropped the ceiling in the room below and fixed that pipe with ease, instead you worked blind trying to get those joints tightened. By the time you got the carpet back down, nobody would have known you where there......Thats when your hard work makes the customer happy. Cheers David
Happy New year David, I always just try to do my best with every job. When I watch my videos back I sometimes think I should have done things slightly differently, but thats always with the benefit of hindsight. Thanks for the support as always, it is greatly appreciated
I had a similarly difficult job at home a few days before Christmas. Bathroom job, tap leaking on bath underneath at the tail to 22mm pipe connection. Tight as hell against the wall - had a choice to put my head in so I could see what I was doing or putting my hand in to turn a wrench - but not both at the same time.🤣
It is very difficult when you are working by feel, my old mate always used to say to close your eyes when it's like that, it doesn't work for me but I guess it worked for him. Thanks for the support as always, happy new year
Whoever said you make jobs look hard is an idiot. Keep doing what your doing tom always look forward to your vids dropping. Im your neck of the woods tomorrow in Holbeach
Hi Tom, Happy New Year mate, Under that floor was tight, it’s hard work when you have very little space to work in. It’s unbelievable how that joint held if it was only finger tight for some time, it looks like it’s back to it now after a very short time off over the holidays. All the best for 2024 to you and your family, the film/content are fantastic, just keep doing what you are doing, I look forward to the next film. Take care, 👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Chris, I couldn't believe that it was only finger tight, it was a problem waiting to happen, hopefully you had a great New year, thanks for watching as always
I do get some easy jobs, it is difficult to film everything and there's only so many times I can show changing a tap cartridge or replacing a tap. The most common easy job I get is in schools where someone has turned off a spur to a water heater, it's just a case of flicking a switch. Thanks for watching
Happy New Year. My whole house is Uponor. Nightmare if you dont have a press gun. I have used the brass inserts with a tapered end with an o ring and a split olive that let you use normal 15mm compression joints to modify it. Not ideal but not much else i could do. Hopefully that joint will be sound for them now.
It is a good system but is not all that common around where I live. If I had better access on this job I would have dismantled it but I could barely reach or see it, I've not been back so I guess it's held. Thanks for the support as always
Happy new year Tom, it’s like this video is representing my start to the new year! I have a pub ladies toilets where the drains have collapsed and a poorly flushing toilet too! However this beats the end of the year blocker toilet caused by a flushed fish! 😆
Happy New year mate, thanks for the support, I'm looking forward to seeing how the channel does this year, I will just try to stay consistent and be myself
Happy New year Colin, that is the most difficult thing about the job, I do worry about turning work away or letting people down, for now I'm happy, thanks for the support as always
HNY. Any of that out of the ordinary pipe is a PITA, I have a couple of houses on Uponor and Buteline, it's always a pain to get hold of fittings as no merchant stocks any and they have to be ordered in......
I'd be effing n blinding 🤬🤬 trying to get that tee fitting tightened 😂
I was getting close to that, thanks for the support as always mate

When you've buggered around for ages trying to get a tool on. You think the last guy must have thought, fk it that'll do 😅
I struggled like mad to get on this one, I was working entirely by feel, thanks for watching as always
I'd bet whoever said you make things look hard work, doesnt work in the trades! I'm a plumbing and heating engineer and it looks like hard work because it bloody well is! 😂

‘You make it look like hard work’ said the person who has never done anything like this.
Some jobs are just hard work I guess, thanks for the support as always mate

Do you ever get any easy jobs Tom? Changing batteries on programmers or a day of leaky kitchen tap glands?
I do get some easy jobs, it is difficult to film everything and there's only so many times I can show changing a tap cartridge or replacing a tap. The most common easy job I get is in schools where someone has turned off a spur to a water heater, it's just a case of flicking a switch. Thanks for watching
Great work Tom

Happy new year Tom. New year resolution to get a good Work life balance. You shouldn’t be working the hours you do.
Happy New year Colin, that is the most difficult thing about the job, I do worry about turning work away or letting people down, for now I'm happy, thanks for the support as always
Happy New year Tom 😎 great video👍
Happy New year PB, thanks for watching as always mate 👍
HNY. Any of that out of the ordinary pipe is a PITA, I have a couple of houses on Uponor and Buteline, it's always a pain to get hold of fittings as no merchant stocks any and they have to be ordered in......
Happy New year mate, that is the only thing with these systems, everything has to be ordered, you can't beat copper
Happy New Year Tom. 👍
Happy New year mate, thanks for watching as always
There should be a grip/spanner that could be fitted in tight spaces.
It's always tricky, I couldn't get my head in to see so I was worrying just by feel, thanks for watching mate
happy new year tom
Happy New year Bill, thanks for all the support
A basin wrench would have reached.
You are probably right mate, thanks for watching
Why am I holding my breath when your struggling?
Living and breathing the content, thanks for watching 👍
I have had that where it's wet on the floor next to a pan , customer seying it's leaking but it's their son pissing on the pan instead of in it .
I reckon that's what was happening here, I'm not sure how you can miss a entire trough urinal though, thanks for watching as always
Mate, that urinal must have been a bit grim, you had your gloves on, well at least for a while anyway!
You know its bad when the gloves are on, seriously though urinals are horrible, happy New year, thanks for watching
Happy new year Tom, here’s to a great 2024🎉, Thanks for all the effort you put in to these videos
Happy New year Andy, thanks for watching as always
Happy new year Tom , back at it tomorrow?
Happy New year mate, yes, I'm back to it tomorrow, the first day is always the hardest
