Thank you! It'd be nice to also know how the dual sims work with incoming calls..

Whoever is calling you, they will call the number linked to your SIM. The phone will let you know which line it's coming to

Excellent video! Thank you! I'm just starting to to use my dual SIM feature on my Pixel 7 so this was a great help.
Side note: I had T-Mobile transfer my SIM from the card to eSIM - they did it over the phone - so I can pop in a new SIM card easily when traveling outside the US. Having a local number for things like taxis, ubers, local business calls, etc. seems very important (I missed a taxi pickup because they couldn't call me back as I had called them from a US number and they couldn;t call or text it)!
At this time, to the best of my knowledge, eSIMs cannot provide local numbers.
However, I got my first SIM card at a local convenience store. What I missed was it had an expiration date on it! So, when I tried to get it to work it couldn't connect. Had to go to a local Vodafone store to get it figured out. If you're buying a SIM card off a rack at a store, be sure to check the expiration date!

It's a shit video. He doesn't even show where you put the sim ffs.
I guess you're just that much of a simpleton you are happy for a RUclipsr to notice you when you act like a sycophant on a shitty video!

A veryn good video. I have purchased my Pixel 7 Pro and will be using the dual SIM for New Zealand and Australia. This phone is the perfect choice. Thank you.

My pixel 7 pro does not show the "REMEMBER THIS CHOICE" option when dialing and I believe this is super useful. Is there a way to activate this so my phone can start remembering which SIM to use to dial different people? Currently, my phone asks me EVERY time without the option to remember the option

I have set up physical sim from French phone plan and T-mobile eSim together in same phone and it works great on Pixel 7, thanks! I had to call T-mobile so they send the QR code and during the call they deactivated my physical T-mobile sim card which hung up the call and was a bit surprising, but after several minutes I received the QR code by email

Do you have to have an unlocked phone to add a second sim, physical or esim to it? I have google pixel 7 phone with t-mobile but it is still locked with them since i haven't paid it off completely yet.

Currently have two pixels running Google fi. One for business, one for personal. I have a pixel 8 Pro and a pixel fold. Would like to combine both the business and personal Sims on one of these phones to set up the dual profiles / multiple user accounts. Curious if it's possible to do a backed up cloud restore of a profile from Google when setting up the second user account? Meaning I would like to see all the text messages, call history and photos transferred from the cloud when setting up that second profile.

How does your SMS app have a button for switching to either "personal" or "business" contacts? I've been trying to do that with my Pixel 8 and I'm wondering if it's software I need to download.
I've seen those buttons on people's main screens as well.

Is there a way to get call waiting on the secondary line when you are using the primary line? I have a Pixel 7 and cant find a workaround to get call waiting on a dual SIM phone?

    Thank you for the explanation.
My use case for dual SIM is for travelling abroad & I don't see how google support this:
1 I want SIM #1 for calls, texts and data
2 I want SIM #2 only for incoming texts and very rare incoming calls. Under no circumstances should SIM #2 use data, due to roaming charges
I see the menu options show "preferred networks".
That's too vague for me. I want STRICTLY NO DATA on SIM#2 and I don't want the phone attempting to use SIM #2 for data if SIM #1 has no signal.
But SIM #2 needs to be on to receive incoming text messages.
Does the Pixel support my needs ?
Then, when I return home, I want to reverse the settings, so SIM #1 is for incoming texts only & SIM #2 is for everything else.

Yes, that will work. There are settings to restrict data to one line.
