Everyone in the description it clearly states that there will still be parking. Also the United center is in a relatively safe area that has ample connections to public transit with the new infill stops along the pink and green lines. A development like this would be monumental to the west side as it would push the momentum of Fulton Market and make the west side maybe even the new northside if they fill in vacant lots and fix crime. This could be a total gamechanger. The west side has 3 cta lines running through it so a development like this could spark huge investment in areas like garfield park and even fill up patches left from urban renewal.
the UC is 30 years old already and will need to be replaced in about 20 years; where will that be built if there are no spaces? What, play in Rosemont for 3 years while the old place gets demolished and rebuilt? This is horrible for the fans.
Did Reinsdorf have an aneurism and approve this? I thought Mr.Parking lot fees would never allow this? LOL. 90 Years old and his legacy will forever be destroying the west and south side with his ocean-sprawling parking lots.
My only concern with this project is that it will displace working class west siders who live in the Near West Side and West Garfield Park. Are there any mitigations in place to stop displacement? Also, they can just build underground parking lots. Be easy suburbanites.
@@sebbidia69 I never mentioned that there would not be any parking. If you look at Wrigley Field, they have the Hotel Zachary and parking structures. Check the hotel rates on game dates and you'll see I'm not that far off. Plus, many guests come in from out of town and stay several nights, hence the multi-night packages.

Come on man this is the internet, Nothing you can say can stop a negative point of view.
The average west sider can't afford to live on the north side. What happens the to residents who already live there? The ones who don't commit crime.
It will have underground parking
and rebuild the madison/paulina pink line station
ban the construction of parking lots

Just take Uber or public transportation 😂
Uber doesn't build structures or do landscaping. The company is for transportation only. If you're thinking of Uber Eats, that's for delivering food.

I heard it was mentioned that a certain percentage of the new housing will be reserved for low income tenants.
West Garfield Park ? The project Is not going that far west
Where will the parking be located for games, concerts, events, etc?
Fuck your parking. Use your legs.
There are other ways to get around in a CITY other than driving
No more parking ??
You got these things called legs. Use them once in a while.
@@sauceman5498 we have this thing called Chicago Winters. Experience it once in a while and get back to me.
Heard of parking garages

Where are the parking lots? If you expect me to take a rideshare or public transportation....you need to guarantee safety first
None of you guys heard of parking garages, takes up way less space and can fit lots of parking , they have that in the plans
No. It’s a city. Not a suburb.

Don’t come.
Im fairly positive that a few of those buildings are supposed to be parking towers
