OK ... I know I said pancakes next, but I do like to surprise myself once in a while. We're now 4 from 4. George's recipes are all superbly easy to follow and they work very well indeed. This granola is moreish, big time. No brazils but had pecans and an Omega nut mix which includes pumpkin seeds ... worked a treat. Hadn't quite pictured the quantity this one made up. Too much for my new Ninja Foodie (at least until I get some inserts ... did some gluten free cookies in it tho), so put parchment in a grill pan, set the small oven for Gas 3, but later upped it to 4 to get the perfect finish. About 28 mins in all, but likely quicker when every man and his dog doesn't have their central heating going full tilt! Luckily had an old 2ltr ice cream container to hand, which this quantity fills to within 20cm of the top ... or it did when it first went in there earlier. As I may have mentioned already, it is VERY moreish!! I would suggest keeping a spatula around to scrape hands clean when mixing the wet stuff in. Trying to open a drawer with hands *that* covered in pre-granola really isn't easy.
Oh yeah it is quite a large mix! Atleast you’ll have plenty granola for a while 😋 I usually end up eating the pre-granola off my hands 😂 Glad you enjoyed the recipe despite the mess!
I was wondering how you'd sweeten this, and was extremely impressed by the home-made date syrup! Wonderful! 👌 I never would have thought to add quinoa, that's definitely something I'm going to try 😊
@@EarthyGoodnessKitchen I was wondering about rinsing due to the saponins on quinoa. People say they’re quite bitter and disrupt digestion and that’s why we should thoroughly rinse quinoa at least 3 times if not more. But recently I’ve seen lots of quinoa in the store that comes pre-rinsed. So it’s possible you were using that or maybe you don’t mind the bitter flavor of the saponins. For me I find unwashed quinoa hurts my stomach/intestines quite a bit so it’s something I think about
@@zachcain2639 Ahh that's interesting. I haven't heard much about saponins before. I'll give my quinoa a wash next time because I do think I've experienced some stomach upset from quinoa before!
Becouse honey become for the exploitation of bees,,they work for them not for us,they dont know we are going to still their food,in the process also many of them died. All that comes from animals its out of the menu.
Give this super healthy granola recipe a go! Also what do you put in your granola? Did I miss anything?
George 💚
Thanks for including ways to save on ingredients! 🙂

Been looking for a recipe that doesn’t use maple syrup or honey , this is perfect 👍
Glad I could help 😊
Yummy❤

Yeah it works really well and has all the fibre from the dates. Oh yeah I love adding quinoa, puffs up nicely ☺️
Yummmmy ❤❤❤
A definite must try…Thank you
Happy cooking! Enjoy :)
this looks amazing!
Thanks!
It is!! 😋
A little love, goes a long way in taste 😊
Absolutely :)
I wonder if I packed these packed into the tray and baked them if I could score them into granola bars?
Hi Toni, yes that could definitely work! I would increase the quantity of dates and tahini to help them stick together even more :)
Thank you for this video!
You're welcome! :)
I have never seen the Quinoa and Tahini version. I have to try. My first view of your channel and I subscribed. 🙏
Welcome aboard! I love the puffed quinoa and the nutty flavour from the tahini 😋
I really enjoyed this video, it is the first one I found that used a binder other than honey or syrup. I will try this
Great! Hope you enjoy it :)
Love all the comments about nutrition! So that’s just raw quinoa? You didn’t rinse or soak or cook it before baking right?
Thanks! Yep just raw quinoa, it will puff up and cook in the oven. You could rinse it before if you like to remove any dust but I don’t bother :)

@@EarthyGoodnessKitchen no need if it’s pre-rinsed by the manufacturer, I’ve had no issues with that type 👍
Hi George, just checking. Is it uncooked quinoa in the ingredients list? Thanks. Can’t wait to give this a try
Hey! It’s uncooked quinoa. I’ll update the ingredients list. Enjoy 😊
Why dont use honey??
I try to keep my recipes vegan but you’re welcome to use honey :) Dates also have added nutrients and fibre

I gag from dates…any substitute?
You could use raisins or a different sugar source like honey or maple syrup
