Having lived 60 years in Des Moines Washington I have done a lot of driving through Federal way. The city has grown much from the early sixties. There's one thing to be said about the twin lakes part of Federal way. Having driven through twin lakes a number of times it would be wise to watch your back. There's an increasing amount of crime. There's also an increasing amount of mf -ers that are confrontational. One of the places that's getting very risky is around that Lakota School at the intersection where to turn off onto dash point road. It's a small intersection business district. Be advised. Some of these MF ers will approach you while in your car while getting gas. The police are hardly ever present. Beyond that if law enforcement would clean up the street Federal way twin lakes is a good place.
For me personally, I hate to see what has become of this town. I do love the diversity but i hate to see the purity and simplicity lost forever. I'll keep my memories from the 60s and 70s and thats the way i want to remember this once special place.
