My Dearest Blockheads, Yes, this video was already uploaded for a few hours the other day. I removed it to make some necessary changes / updates for it to be more thorough and accurate for the viewer. Thank you for your understanding, - Management
@Talltom067 - No, this video isn't in chronological order. The cooling fans (Love Jugs) are still installed, and have been an awesome addition to the bike.
@Engir - I haven't had any problems with it thus far at all. I've had both with having come from riding the Iron 883, didn't have any problems w/ that one either. I guess time will tell! :)
Thanks for the video. Saw it last night and did my new HD get-a-grips today along with my cruise control kit. My ‘20 Low Rider S is coming along nicely.
I used the screw driver then shot some PB BLAST in there between the grip and bar. It came off super easy then washed out the grip with Dawn dish soap. PB blast worked great but the glue never really stuck to the bar very well after lol. I do not recommend reusing the grips if you used any kind of penetrant lube.
Hey dude apparently of you get an air compressor and shuv the nozzle under the grip and blow air as you rotate the grip it comes off easy. Never done it myself but ive seen it done. Who knows. Just thought ide tell you for next time.
No issues with not needing the grip to slot into the housing on the clutch lever side, like the factory ones did then? These are the drips I want, but they say they aren’t right for my 2022 road glide st. I guess I just need to ignore them and get these grips anyways huh 🤓
Bought the exact ones but in chrome version for my 17 fatboy. Awesome video thank you. Just curious how do you like that phone mount and do you have the link please.
my sportster 48 has throttle cable grips right? also does it matter if the part where the cable attaches is metal or plastic? i heard that the metal ones rub metal on metal on the handle bar and might cause it to get stuck over time. please help
I know that it is being long time since you have done the video, just want to ask if you choose the grips only for the look or they are more comfortable than stock grips?
Do you ever plan to change out your handlebars? I don't know how to take out that internal wiring in the handle bars mine have always been on the outside

hi there, did you remove the cooling fans you installed awhile ago?
The wireless throttle makes the right one so much easier but in your opinion is it as reliable a system as a cable throttle?
Blockhead has management, moving up in the world I see!

For the clutch side grip, spray some WD-40 and work it off with also using the skinny screwdriver. Came off easy for me!

For future reference, if you rub WD40 on the screwdriver and run it around the grip will slide of like butter. Hope this may help someone.
Thinking about getting these grips for my road glide ST
Easy install after watching this video. Thanks Blockhead
Good choice for the FXDLS.
Thanks!

What was the torx bit size you used on the left to completely remove that housing unit, that nuts that are facing towards you.?
Awesome! Just ordered mines!
Bought the exact ones but in chrome version for my 17 fatboy. Awesome video thank you.

would these be the narrowest grips you can get?
Will this work the same on 2015 HD sportster iron 883?
I know that it is being long time since you have done the video, just want to ask if you choose the grips only for the look or they are more comfortable than stock grips?
Hey! Did you noticed that the new grips are slightly longer than stock?
What diameter bars are those? Did you have to use any of the spacers for the phone mount?
+Matthew Nielsen Stock bars so I believe that's 1"? And didn't have to use any spacers for the phone mount 👍🏼
I think they are 1 1/4. I see the step down now that I watch the video closer.
Random question but what phone mount is rhat
Will this step by step also work for a 2017 Iron?
+Half Dog Iron has cable throttle grips. I made a how to vid with the Iron as well, search the channel and it should come up :)
BLOCKHEAD Thank you sooo much! You're the reason I got my Iron. I love it!
Pretty sure I’ve seen this or I’m loosing it. Great instructional video regardless. 👍🏻
You did, took down to make some updates. Might also be losing it? haha, thanks Jamie :)
Do you ever plan to change out your handlebars? I don't know how to take out that internal wiring in the handle bars mine have always been on the outside
Hadn't planned on it, I like the drag bars on there. Should be some how to videos out there on that though!
BLOCKHEAD you would be surprised there are no detailed vids I've seen but nothing like exploring your own bike right haha
The mirrors aren't down the handlebars anymore. Why? Did they touch the tank after all?
Video not released in chronological order. Mirrors are still down :)
Will that sissy bar in the corner appear in a future "How To" video? My sissy bar was one of the best mods on my Iron.
+Great Egret It will!
Didn't this already get uploaded?
It did! Took it down to make some updates to better help the viewer. Apologies :)
Yor slip on exhaust vid was shorter, I'm worried now 😅
Just curious if you have ever shown yourself. Great Channel man, I genuinely look forward to your uploads! Peace bro
+Brad Bjerga Not so far! Thanks for the support 👍🏼
I've never had good luck with hair spray. It always ends up getting loose.
How much price
Was the other version not suitable for advertisers or something?
Nah I left some info out so took it down to edit and reuploaded. If one of these 'How To' vids wasn't suitable for advertisers, I'd be baffled, haha
Didnt you already have this video out?
nickgino59 i thought he already did too 🤔
Yup! But took it down to make some updates that I thought would benefit the user. Hope it helps! :)
Hair spray is the best.
Price
✌
I didn’t realize when you said one shot you really did mean ONE SHOT. Well... I made a $62 mistake.
Hey man don't feel bad I put that clutch side grip on the wrong side, the handlebars were on backwards! Fml $60 mistake, live and learn.
Off topic but, everyone please go out and thank a veteran tomorrow!
Thank you!
Heavy breather is looking dry
For sure, definitely need to recharge it
Cool video, I thought they were going to be a bitch like bicycle grips
And then you got to the passenger side.. lol
+Motorcycle Zeal Passenger side only sucked bc of the glue, haha. Not a huge deal but damn was that thing on there!
