Iriduim plugs come gapped from the manufacturer and you should not change the gap as it can damage the precious metal tip. Thats why they recommend not to do it. I also use copperslip antiseize as the site is exposed to heat. With the JE Hi Comp piston are you running hi octane fuel ?
@@hadesomegamoto7639 I saw that your reading was about 145, 150 psi mine did the same and read in the clymer manual that it might be that we have the wrong head gasket or carbon buildup in piston. I was worried but since you say it’s been running okay I will just ride it. Can I ask why did you do the compression test?
Hi man! When I tried to do compression test - I got really low reading. After some reaserch Ifound info, that DR has auto-decompressor. So I'm little confused - because with less then 100 psi I should have problems with even starting engine.
All 4 stroke bikes will have a little bit of oil residue in the head gasket area. It's just the nature of them. Ride on... And the harbor freight gauges are not accurate at all! Many topic on the forums on this.

After this video how many more miles did your bike last? The spec for compression for the dr is 120 psi based on clymer manual.
It's still running today. The subframe is all messed up though. I have about 40k miles. The headgasket is starting to leak oil a bit though.

I have a JE Hicomp piston. I just did a compression test to see how healthy the engine is.
Hey! Thanks for the video! May I ask if the engine was cold? Do you remember?
My bike gave me 140 psi. Is that normal?

That is true, they say that compression test readings are not super accurate. It could be your gauge also.
Hi one question how many kilometers have that motorcycle, god job and thanks for answer
I'm not sure how many miles it had at the time but I'd guess around 20k miles.
Did you borrow a compression tester from an auto store?
No it is my own Harbor Freight compression tester. I rarely use it though =/

Interesting good to know!
