Abandoned Untouched Beach Mansion - Family with kids just left overnight

- Опубликовано: 12 июн 2024
- in today's exploration we visit a house that was abandoned about 10 to 15 years ago. It is clear that the family here had multiple kids and a generous amount of money. Located on the beach it's a strange property to abandon but none the less it was left to rot. If you enjoy today's exploration leave a like & subscribe for more content.

With a house left in that kind of state, you kind of have to wonder if the people who lived there left one day, planning to come back, and then died in a horrible accident.
There was that recession that happened 10-15 yrs ago.
@growlingbehemoth 2008 is when we crashed (recession). This house doesn't strike me as being left due to the economy. It looks like they ran to the grocery store and never returned. No, unfortunately we probably do not want to know what happened. So sad!
I think they came back 1 last time because there is no family photos anywhere in the house
@growlingbehemoth We can only hope that they went to seek refuge with family and made it safely. Here's hoping, right?
they just could pay for the maintenance...or left the country abruptly
You should’ve checked the expiration date on the stuff in the fridge to see when they left
Ella Spelta smart!
Yes smarty pants
Its fake
You’re a natural detective!
He couldn't even breath when opened that door.
After the housing crash back in '08, I worked cleaning out houses that had been foreclosed on and abandoned. People left everything. The closets were still full of clothes, family pictures and college diplomas were still on the walls, these were houses that had been empty for a year but looked like people left a few minutes before. And we're not talking cheap houses either, these were typically in rich neighborhoods. That was an interesting job.
I did the same for 8 years . It always amazed me what people would leave behind. But I did enjoy finding those hidden jewelry hiding places. And I found that women would hide money on the top of kitchen cabinets , and bedroom closet`s under the carpets.
why do you think they left everything though?
thats so sad man
Did you ever get to keep things?
You didn’t attempt to track down the owners?
Always check expiration dates on food packages to more closely determine when the object was abandoned.
My mom still has ketchup and stuff from 2016 and says "it's still good" so maybe not
@@elissamyers7321 Yeah, I'd get rid of it and replace it behind her back 😅
@@elissamyers7321 I’d be scared to eat any food she cooked, knowing that could have gone bad upwards of 2 years prior. I’ve realized how good I’ve got it. It took me 8 years before I realized what expired food was. Is it sad or great that it took that long?
@Dr. Random not O1O Probably sad. We had some kind of food in the cabinet that I saw last year and it expired in 2020. Just like some mustard I saw at school a few days ago. We don’t use that cabinet much.
@@elissamyers7321well typically when people don’t do stranger things it’s true
When whole families just LEAVE it's so WEIRD. Sometimes it looks like they might have died but it makes you wonder.
Yeah, some places can be just holiday homes that have not been used for years.
Possessed home?
Maybe they drowned. They are on the water. Some people think the ocean is harmless or they underestimate the power of currents. Even experienced swimmers/ divers get caught by them and end up dying.
It was a holiday home to the doctor who made Grey's Anatomy (?) the not revised version I think?
None of the grandchildren wanted the house so they just abandoned it. It's a shame tho, it's such a nice house :p
[ Brianne • ] how do u know and who told u
It's crazy how ordinary household objects transform into creepy relics of left behind lives.
I know of this home. I think it belongs to the family of a very popular and prestigious family of doctors and surgeon's. I'm pretty sure this is like a second home (maybe vacation spot?) and both husband and wife passed away and the family never came back to it. Someone in his family (uncle, brother etc) wrote books on surgery. So no it's not fleeing,or murder,or prison... It's that they passed away and as you can see it's a handful to manage that property. Cool video tho
Why is the whole house decaying like that though if it's only been abandoned for 7-8 years? There's literally black mold on everything. Never seen anything like that except in buildings that have been abandoned for decades
The house is next to the ocean. The damp air coming ashore and the generally warm climate would (I think) accelerate mold growth.
@Jason Scott i believe its on the Jersey shore.
@@NyokouChannel There is no air conditioning running and a window was left open.
@Dirty Lettuce other explorers went by, thats how they find out this place in the first place. Some other people took all the wine bottles too.
Third floor of this house, where the bunk beds where, finally fell off last year.
The weirdest thing is, that there is less dust, than here in my room.
They live near a beach, dust is almost never a thing in homes like that. Now ants on the other hand....those are everywhere near beaches! I’m surprised I didn’t see much bugs in this house.

@@nickdavis5947 this comment may be stupid but I'm a kid. What would that do to you?
Antonio APC79 if you are only around black mold for a while it can give you symptoms that are like a flu or cold. Like coughing, nausea, headache, stuff like that. If you are exposed to black mold for a long period of time it can be more dangerous but it most likely won’t kill you. Memory loss, persistent headaches, trouble breathing, and just general pain in your body. So not fatal but definitely not fun
This is quite mysterious. It looks like the family just went away for the afternoon. I love the arched windows in the bedroom and the circular room where the bunk beds were. The black mold tho, is very dangerous so please wear a mask when you enter a place like this. Awesome find guys.
black mold kills..thats why they had to leave. it killed 5 babies in ne statesb4 they knew about it.
Right even a board game is left half played
I think the board game was staged for pictures.
The fact that no one has cleaned out the place is a miracle. There is some valuable stuff in there.
@Daves I'm an American, and I absolutely agree with you.
There's nothing valuable or even collectable in this house. It's all just cheap stock made furniture bought at some run of the mill furniture store back in the 70's and 80's.
@@hushyermouthlady4933 The TV is a collectible at this point.
Americans steal shit all the time. Please.
@@kyle8952 I'm sure it's also corroded through. Been sitting in damp salty sea air for a decade. Nothing in that house is valuable. Interesting yes, valuable no.
I absolutely love the fact that you don’t add music in your videos. During the moments when you don’t talk, the silence in the house giving off the abandoned vibes, I love it! Most explorers I watch add in too much editing and music, it’s just not enjoyable but your videos are great! Can’t wait to see more from you man!

It's very sad to see that their children and grandchildren didn't bother to come and restore this beautiful house. They must have have lots of memory and good time to remember. Very sad.
It’s sad seeing this beautiful house waste away, how are you? I hope you and your family are safe from the virus.
And it's a beach-house! I thought everybody liked beach houses!
Maybe there was a hurricane/storm and they fled!
So beautiful even the gazebo so close to the beach you can just sit there and watch the ocean while sipping on a glass of lemonade at noon feeling the ocean breeze and sunshine at the same time !! I wonder where is this?
Maybe they just don’t have the time and money to
I know it’s been a year, but if the bank foreclosed on the house they don’t own it anymore so no one can go take that stuff or repair it. Probably different where you are but in the US they take the house if you can’t pay the mortgage. I think this house is abandoned bc of black mould infestation. It causes massive health issues so they were probably told to leave everything bc it has mould spores on it.
I agree. It looks like a pipe burst in the ceiling above the first floor and it might be too far gone with mold to retrieve anything.

Who wants a SuperWoofer from 1985 or a 2008 case of beer? Apart maybe for the wood paneling there's no valuable. Add ten years of seaside weather and it'll crumble.
I'd assume all the wine was stolen if there was ever wine in that cabinet
zerozeppelin it wouldn’t happen in the area I’m in. They’d have robbed it blind.
Depending on Zip Code... in Northern NJ or NYC will be vandalized by gangs and house used by junkies, crazy alcoholic homeless etc
It's obvious from the way things were left that the occupants planned to return. It would be interesting to learn what prevented them from doing so.
PinkSquidInk I think it was something like a hurricane that happened and they where never able to come back
Black mold - lethal. It looks like it was caused by water damage.
Thats obviouse to.you ??how about witness relocation ?
@@sleekoduck most of the time, black mold isn't even a health concern. Only certain species of it cause issues.
I disagree, leaving drawer's open is a tell tale sign that people left and aren't coming back; who opens a drawer and then leaves it open. Especially with little children around. No they left in a hurry, and they don't look like they're coming back; so far they haven't. Black Mole is Dangerous, that could have force people out; but it didn't look that bad. Except you can't see inside walls, they might have been told to leave everything. The clothing was mostly folded in the drawers, so I'd assume that picture albums; jewelry and electronics of value might have been taken. If people were fleeing in a panic, clothing would have been thrown and dropped on the floor and things would be disorganized everywhere from rifling through stuff. My guess is either black mold force them out or they were members of a witness protection program, given a short time to leave and told to take only a day or two's worth of clothing. That would explain why there was no picture's on the walls of family also.
The strangest part to me was the board game. Like they just set their cards down and left
That may be staged. Someone may have come through and did that.

You have been respectful while going through the house, which is admirable..

I'm no detective, but there seems to be one glaring thing that was completely overlooked. You opened the closest and saw scrubs, which you automatically assumed were nurses attire, but doctors also wear them. Secondly, when you open the book on the bed there was a name and address followed by M.D., which is an abbreviation for Medical Doctor. My guess is that the name stamped in the inner cover of the book will lead you to the answer of who once resided there.
It's also easy enough nowadays (for the guys filming this anyway, since they don't want to give out it's location) to get the address and do a Zillow search for who owned it.
Good Observation! I was able to read the name “C. Clemente MD” and a quick google search comes up a Celestino Clemente MD from New Jersey who passed in 2013.
@@Xsar08X I didnt catch the name in the book but the Yuenling bottle was kinda a giveaway the house is eastern bound, 20 years ago that bear wasnt served past the tristate area, its more distributed these days but seeing the empty bottle and a rough timeframe of decay I was thinking tristate DE, NJ, MD beach house

chief tp It comes from a variety of sources including plants, roads, wind, clothes dryers, electronics, attics, basements, air conditioning and heating ducts and vents, pets, pollen, insects, carpeting, knick knacks. If you live in the south, coastal states, desert, or Southwest, you have more than your fair share of dust due to excess pollen, windy, and dry conditions. Garbage was left in the front and back yards for 2 months, and after many complaints to town hall, they finally got someone to clean up the place. I asked if I could have a look inside and it was just as filthy as the outside. They left a lot behind, it was disgusting!

At the 5:24 mark...you can see a name and address inside of the book that is lying on the bed. I looked up the name and address and it is for a doctor who passed away in 2013. If the owner of the book is the person who owned this house then it is odd that it sits abandoned as he had a large family. He was 91 when he passed and left 5 adult children, 16 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren...many who still live in the same state as he did....
It is so sad to see the remnants of someone's life...simply left to rot...with no-one caring enough to close the house properly or to even relish the belongings of a life well lived... Unlike most Third-world countries where the elderly have great value...in our first-world American society the elderly are looked at as a nuisance by so many people...as if they have no knowledge or value in the lives of their family or community...which is simply untrue...So sad...
Yes but it's not the person it's just Stuff Geez 🤪 probably had a mold issue people will literally leave everything 🤪
A life well lived...Um. Sure! Or maybe just a long life. Maybe the guy was an insufferable asshole? Not every relative is a treasure. Perhaps the home and everything in it reminded them of bad memories so they left it to the mold. Did you ever have a co-worker you couldn't stand and think "wow, I'm glad I only have to tolerate this jerk at work"..Well, that person has a family and they probably don't like he/she either. Just something to think on.
Some people leave because the house becomes a trigger to their shattered heart. I know a loved one who had to leave in order to find peace again. She was so broken hearted bc he left without warning and there were no problems in their relationship. She continued living there and cried completely unable to move on for a year until she left the house. Some ppl cope better than others with the estrangement and loss of their spouse.
Anyone else freaked out when they saw his girlfriend in the mirror?! 😭 for some reason I thought he was filming alone! Lol anyway great video you can tell that was once a beautiful beach home
Did this guy willingly enter a house of black mold without a mask?
I am concerned for his health.
When he opened the fridge.. :s
Yes he did lol
I often see people these types of videos, and they don't bother with masks. Mice piss and shit etc.
@@procta2343 Seems like they don't bother because they are young :/ just wait till they get old and then they would start to have respiratory issues.
@@aries-vl7it I have watched one bloke go through some abandoned homes, some have been left very recently and others have been either used for fly tipping, One house was practically jammed packed with all sorts. They even look through drawers and cupboards, with their bare hands too! so fuck knows what they could be picking up too.
Have you considered finding the owners in local court records? That may give you a starting point in finding out what happened. I suppose that's not your mission, however. I would love to take up that part of the story and share.
Exactly. He can go to the tax collector with the address and find out whos paying taxes on that property, or who was, then go from there... easy stuff
That’s what drives me crazy w/these videos! Pretty basic stuff that may lead to an even better story & it would set RUclipsr apart from all the others, amongst whom none rarely make the effort
I just said similar thing..... Do a reverse address search on Spokeo
You should find the owners. Or family members wow cool you should find history ofvthis place
That would be cool but I don't know if information like that can be given to just anyone that ask for it. I could be wrong but that's personal info it just seems weird for them to give it away.
Nice find! Dude, that is nowhere near “a full library” 🤣
This is very common with coastal residential areas... where folks have second homes. Hurricanes cause water damage, mold sets in very quickly... the entire house has to be torn down and built again. Some people don’t have insurance coverage to rebuild. The clothes, furniture and everything are contaminated with toxic mold.
Thank you for not vandalizing the place.
That blue moon pack was hella new, someone just wasn’t home dogg
He put it there and he'll take it away. lol
LoL
Hiding
I would be so pissed if someone walked I to my home...wtf people seriously
As the roof is falling apart. No one lives there. Clearly.
Welcome to Witness Protection. Leave everything and come with us.
MoonwolfeConsulting exactly
Freemasons got found out.
yea the whole family was in danger
My thought exactly
If it has been 10 - 15 years that the house has been abandoned, it could have been due to the recession of 2008 (Great Recession). A lot of people owed more on their house than the value of the house itself and just walked away from their property. This could have been a second home / vacation property and the homeowners were overextended. Ironically, it was the collapse of the housing market that started that disaster.
Beautiful beach house, overlooking the private beach ❤️🏖️
Seen many of these like this. Pretty sure most the time it's an elderly owner that passes and the family just does nothing with it nor wants the headache and just simply ignores it. I don't mean to prognosticate, but when I pass there is nobody to give My stuff to and will probably end up the same, no mystery. Funny how that's not sad to Me, but someday somebody may look at it say how sad this all seams not knowing "I'm cool with it". EDIT: found the great explanation in the comments, close to what I thought. Kudos Victor Jared.
Being a disabled & don't have my own home person- this is so heartbreaking to me. Because I would appreciate even a Tiny home So Much that there are no words really. To see something sitting there just UGH 😞
Full library? That's like 12 books.
I only came to be sad over the abandoned books
Yeah I'm a book nerd and was waiting to see a full library. The 'library' was a tad disappointing.
The library seems as though it was full at one tume and had been cleared before the mold took over
Full library my ass. I've got more books than that.
I've read two books in my life, so for me it is a full library. 😝
To me it looks more staged only because nothing was dust covered
Ally Snoeyink how does one stage all that
Gabe Pee it was a 10 minute video. There are entire seasons of reality shows staged, don’t tell someone can’t stage a clipped video
It fake
Dust is result of people living, no people=no dusr...what do you think dust is anyway?
My thought too. And also why would things be pretty neat? Surely others had poked around. Things would have been more messy. People do not have manners.
Literally love the video keep them coming ❤️
Another awesome video!
I tried looking up the address in the book you showed at around the 5:20 mark
341 Highwood (or Ridgewood / Norwood) Ave (interpolated via G.Maps)
Glen Rock, NJ
What is interesting though is that there is no house at any of those addresses. There is a house at 343 Highwood Ave. Google Earth imagery for the area does not go back past 1995. The same 343 house is there. No fire records could be found from DDG/Google.
None the less, I discovered obituaries for a Celestino Clemente, M.D. who passed in 2013 at 91 with family. There was no record that I could find of an "E. Clemente"
However there are two practicing Doctors in New Jersey with the last name Clemente. Roderick and Joseph Clemente. They both have over 20 years in medicine and are specialized in Neurosurgery and Cardiology, respectively.
So far that's all i can find. Interesting dead ends.
But someone has been squatting in that house, if not you. That beer was put there like yesterday.
Can you find my dad too ? He still isn’t back from buying milk
@@RBeeMedia Sheeeeeet- Gimme an old library book of his and i'll see what I can do!!
Since some of the other books on the shelf were library discards, the stamp in the book may not have anything to do with the former occupants of the home. It could have been from a library book sale, or from the dump even. But I agree that someone is likely squatting there.
4:55 he shows nurse/doctor clothes and shoe covers in there closet
Keys879 if you read earlier comments you will know you incorrect. The actual owner passed away in 2013. Read the comments.
They did not leave, they FLED! They left so much memorabilia behind: pictures, books, quilts etc. They were frightened, scared. They didn’t even take their clothing! They did not leave. They FLED!
william paz I think you are right.
fled from what is the question
My money's on they fled from a flood/hurricane
Raviaviaviavioli there doesn’t seem to be water damage, though....and why wouldn’t they have returned afterwards?
Didnt see any family photos or jewelry, i feel like they did take some things
Thank you! Beautiful area! Peace be to you….
I remember that blanket from the 90’s Zack Morris had it on his bed on Saved by the bell 😩
Beautiful house but everything just seems so.....clean 🧐 The bed sheets & the books - no dust? Surely moisture would ruin everything?
It is, the house is falling apart & covered in mold.
Agree, there is a lot of stuff they placed around that they pretend was left like that. Towards the end the little table with the Gin on it.. There is very little dust on the seashells and the mug to the left, even the table. Anything left for 10 years gets a considerable amount of dust on it. Absolutely placed there by these guys very recently. (as he alludes, they are doing picture shoots also)
So nice to see a house that isn't vandalised! You have a lovely serene way about you when you show us around, a great explore, well done xxx
Absolutely beautiful place on the ocean, sad no one came back, makes you wonder. Thank you for sharing! Love 💘 this channel!
Agreed with what you said, it’s sad watching this beautiful house waste away, how are you doing? I hope you and your family are safe from the virus ?
That's my fav part of exploring as well!
Seems older than 2008. Old TVs. Push button land line phones. Old furniture
yeah something is terribly wrong. they left the gin behind.
I was thinking like witness protection that got compromised and they had to flee. It didn’t look like there were any personal affects like photos etc.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I can think of 3 things! 1- hit the lottery and just left ( I would do that) 2- husband got into big trouble and had to leave ASAP 3- the house is haunted.
@@Dylan-wp5kb yeah it does
Hahaha
My cottage still has a candor up from 1975 for memories if someone broke in off season they would think it was abandoned but it’s not! It’s our cottage.
You always find the best places.
I’m gonna need to see expiration dates on those beers to believe this video 😂
CRACK3D GAMING beers don’t expire... idiot.
And that Titanic book looked awfully suspect...
Alexier beers do expire though..
Alexier u dumbass they do expire
Alexier shut the hell up you bigot
Would prefer if you did some research on the house and owners to make it more interesting!
did you watch the video? lol He says in the beginning he has no history on it, implying he couldnt find any. He usually does give history on places.
@@tko12C well that's funny because one of the viewers found info on it, and he wasn't even there. He saw a name in the book and googled it. What he found all makes sense. So I find it very hard to believe this guy who was at the address couldn't find any info.
@@jlee7904 ok fair, so then what's the story? lol
@@tko12C go to the top of the comments. You'll see it
Trisha paytas ...is that you
What a lovely video, beautiful home, would love to have seen it when it was up and running, in this amazing location too, right by the sea, makes you wonder what did really happen to the family to leave such an amazing place behind. Thank you from the UK.
I agree with you, it’s so sad watching this beautiful house go to waste, how are you doing, I hope you and your family are safe from the virus?
Excellent explore, thank you 👍
The book belonged to Celestino Clemente a Medical Doctor who died in 2013 at 91. Judging by the scrubs in the closet it could be his house also.
SANS 28 how do you know?
@@ekaterinas8796 I'm assuming they researched a little bit.
NeickhaSuPRA guess so! Just wanted to know the research results in particular! ;)
@@Deenique16 they copied a top comment lol
Thank You! for the information who owns it now and who is leasing the property?
That boare game was clearly just set up
J R I thought exactly that
Yeah definitely,no dust on it
Same with half the stuff in there, shiny new and no dust
Exactly..Like who just ups and leaves a house full of everything, and especially a board game.. Keep it real paranormal investigators..
@@danadane8035 probably a show or model house
Dude first time watching this video, and have to say that house looked amazing but also sad about the family which left it. Just by looking at all of the old stuff there including the TV, the beds, and other stuff it looks to have been abandoned a lot longer than 15 years. The TV itself which I had one myself back in the late 70'- 80's looks the same unless they liked collecting old things.
Seen this few years back..falling floors and ceilings now..sad. Nice video!!
Were you able to look at expiration dates of any of the food items in the kitchen? That can give you a really decent idea of when the last time someone lived there.
That's a good idea but oh the smell 🤢🤮
Riley O'Neill Good point 👍
He made a noise and started coughing as he stepped away from the refrigerator, so I bet the smell was really bad. Wouldn't wanna go rifling through that stuff unless you have a mask and gloves.
Good question?
That's a smart idea..
