I'm glad you put it so perfectly. With all the Barbie the Movie dolls and cars and a fashion pack earlier in the year. I really, REALLY blew my doll budget this year. Then sales for dolls came around Christmas of the Rewind series I'd been wanting, and a couple of Monster High dolls, but didn't want to pay full price for. This has been a TOO abundant doll year. LOL Frankly I'm just going to say it here, because of the subject of the video. I am a doll collector always on a budget. So, I am tired of these releases that are pricey and you're "lucky" to get the doll before they sell out. Ugh. One of the reasons I liked Mattel dolls, Barbie in particular, but also Monster High. Was that they were play line dolls and not much was rare or hard to find or afford. But even that really ugly fashion pack you showed and talked about, is $30! For a bunch of dresses that if they were in the individual fashion packs I wouldn't even bother with them. I DO like the black dress with the pink bow and pink strappy sandals. Too bad it's not just being released by itself, because the rest is so just forgettable and very much Fashionista clothing, i.e. cheap looking. I understand they have to appeal to the kids, but they used to put out individual fashion packs of one or two dresses per year that were a cut above the rest of the just for kids stuff. But not anymore. So people are buying elsewhere like Etsy and Temu for the better looking doll clothes. That's sad, because with the Barbie the Movie fashion pack, which I did buy, Mattel showed what they still could do if they wanted to. It was worth it's price tag. Just had to vent a little. 😉🎀💖 Oh, and a best and worst of 2023 dolls would be a fun video to see.

The ’fights’ over budget is what Mattel made them loose customers, in my opinion. They continue to produce tons of cheap, non articulated dolls that nobody needs and wants and has too many of. People would be way more happy with less dolls as long as they are of good quality, which means: Articulated bodies, Saran hair and nice clothing, ALWAYS. Plus, we can do without dolls coming with playsets, it is unnessecary. Mattel should stay on the market byt right now, it feels they are cheaping out.
Yes I absolutely agree!!! Better quality!!! I feel like the best decade was the early to mid 2000s for the collector dolls! They were so beautiful with great materials and real jewelry. Oh I miss those.
That is what works for collectors, but not necessarily for kids and their parents, and the Mattel shareholders. I born in the 70s, and I definitely miss the doll quality of previous decades, but several things are different now. Kids stop playing with dolls at a younger age, there is an increase in acquisition and throwing things away, the middle class is shrinking, and there has been inflation. To me it seems like Barbie Extra was a trial to reach a middle ground for Mattel, and I don’t think they sold that well. I have more than half of them, but I got almost all of them on sale.
@@c.w.2000 if you ask me, the fact Extra Fancy was at the same price as a RH core doll that came with two outfits and thus didn't sell is likely what killed the Extra line in the end.

Arjen- You are soooo correct- Everything is soooo expensive these days. I keep looking on Ebay for the Mark Ryan Pink Pop Barbie which sellers sell for $800 to $1,500. That is more than 100% mark-up. I cannot see paying that much for a Barbie because that is more than a car payment in the USA and more than apartment rent in the USA. I love Barbie, but like you all I can think is "I don't have a doll budget for that. I am retired." I collect only Barbies and Kens and I try to limit myself to 150 dolls only. I have 1 adult daughter and only grandsons. They do not want the Barbies. I would hate to buy all these Barbies and Kens and my family throw them out! And they will.

Yep ! I bought more dolls in the last 3 months than I will admit. I was out of control! But, in my mind, the sales were good & I was afraid if I didn't snatch them at the sale price, they would go way up. And I was right on alot of them.

Yes, the original price was really high, even with the Swarovski crystals, but people are paying twice that price on eBay (in the sold listings). As a collector with some expensive dolls, I tend not to judge how much someone wants to spend on a doll, but to me the current secondary market doll prices indicate some people have lost perspective.
The AG dolls are vey expensive and they're only making as many as are preordered. Due to this, the material cost is higher as they can't guarantee a lower price by buying the necessary materials in bulk. It's an issue that always comes up with made-to-order items.
Mattel is having terrible problems with quality control. Saw several reviews of the new Cutie Reveal dolls with multiple complaints about hair rooting, face painting and clothing issues. So disappointing. I love, love, love the flowing gowns on the special dolls as well as the hair colors. The Pink Collection doll is adorable. Love the recaps. I will be a witness for doll tsunami 2023 and the doll budget overload 😂 American Girl was once called Pleasant Company and the original molds were from the Götz doll company. Their gimmick was to send doll catalogs to households with children from the ages of 6-10 yrs of age from the late 80s into the 90s and Mattel does it even now as long as you subscribe. Mattel bought them in 1998. The level of detail and design for these dolls that were focused on historical events and books about the girls who lived in that time that were made into dolls. My mind was blown when I saw my first catalog! There was nothing like it on the doll market then in the U.S. I never was able to get one bc they were so expensive then and now too. In 2011, I happened upon a Samantha doll and boom adult doll collector! 😂❤ And I’m forever grateful 🥹 The Barbie AG doll is adorable, but a lot of collectors are either customizing their own or buying a custom AG doll that was made into Barbie. She is the first collab btwn AG and Barbie. AG dropped 4 other $300 dolls plus a $250+ Holiday release then they released Barbie 🤯🫠 I could not justify any of them at that price point. I guess a lot of the doll stock went to second hand sellers and Mattel has tried to correct the problem, but people in many different doll communities are upset with Mattel as I collect AG, Barbie and Monster High 😅 so yes very broke this year! American girl dolls and all their gadgets and sets are expensive. Special editions like the Barbie one reach a very high price. Luckily again it was never my type of doll, although I was in their NYC store and I was impressed by the level of details they put on this line. I ended up buying one the doll for the doll, basically a miniature of an American girl doll and it is so freaking cute.
The Birthday Wishes doll is giving Best Buy Barbie fashions from the 70s and I kinda vibe with it , but I agree it is way too simple for a birthday doll.
I would give a lot of dollars for a Krampus-themed Christmas barbie. I would love some more obscure winter holiday characters to be represented by Barbie

I have that fashion pack! They look nice in the promo but some of the fabrics they used feel really cheap. The black dress with the bow, the jeans and the metallic vest feel really cheap and paper like. It comes in a pink cardboard box and with 4 paper bags with cute illustrations of different barbies. I unfortunately don't have them anymore but if you were wondering there you go.

Yes, that's right, the American Girl dolls are not sold in Europe, we have other variants in Europe, my personal favorite 18-inch dolls are from the German brand Gotz, they have "Gotz Happy Kids" and are jointed in 9 places and i have a couple of these dolls they are very beautiful and cute to see, and then we have "Gotz Precious Day" dolls that come closer to American Girl dolls, they have the same legs, arms and ears, but I think the nice thing about Gotz dolls is that the hair is rooted, and is easy to wash and style, the American Girl dolls have wigs that often become dry and frizzy after years of playing. And when it comes to my Barbie purchases for this year, i think i'm almost broke and need to safe some money again to buy other dolls that are on my wishlist that i really want. 😊😉
I am not a Barbie collector per se but am keen on adding dolls, play sets and clothes for my 6 year old daughter. For Christmas I got her a bunch of vintage/older Barbie stuff on eBay … and the prices are atrocious!! Luckily she doesn’t mind if it’s used/out of the box so that saves me a bunch. Personally I am in love with some Fashion Fever dolls and fashions but they are soooo ghastly expensive. A 2004 Lea doll (the one I want the most) is $300, a single outfit with pants and a shirt out of the box is $45, a fashion pack is $65. But they are so cute 🥲 I also really want late 80’s fashion packs for both Barbie and Skipper. I have all the Pet Pals but want the Paris Pretty sets
Fashion Fever has some of the best fashions out there indeed but their prices keep getting more expensive! So if you see a reasonable deal, get it before it’s gone! 😅

Oh Arjen what is a doll budget lol I got three Barbie Looks this year (13,16 and 19), and also Vanessa from little Mermaid, and some of the older girls (Cool Clips, Hula Hoop, Holiday Treats) and some of the fashion packs of Hello Kitty. And I don’t want to count the money I spent on that 😂😂 So yeah I’m broke as a church mouse, and I’m not even close to my several dream Barbies.
The American Girl Barbie is super cute! She has already sold out though. I would like to get one but, at $300.00 dollars that's a little rich for my blood! The is an American Girl doll store here in Manhattan. They are toddler dolls and you can choose the hair color you would like and the skin tone. They start at $110. 00 to $160.00. They have all kinds of accessories such as beds, dishes, clothes etc.. I used to get their catalog; filled with many beautiful things! 😊
You're not wrong about the new Birthday Wishes doll - she's really pretty and her dress colors are nice, but compared to the Birthday dolls from the 90's, she doesn't have that wow factor. Or feel like she's birthday-themed. I might be biased as a collector, but she feels more like a celebration of springtime than anything.

The Birthday wishes outfit needs a few tulle layers it reminds me about The Sound of Music film. I mentioned before that I was about to buy the Corvette barbie this isnt the recent 2023 edition but 2008 The Pink Label with 3 colors yellow, red and magenta the box is printed with urging people to get one of each color like a scavenger hunt. I picked the yellow but its rough when a person must choose their favorite.
I had my budget set aside for the movie dolls 500, and the releases of Barbies friends {3} I ended up buying only 1 of the Barbie friends special releases and 5 of the movie dolls 250 for 5 dolls hmm they all should have been 25 each if you ask me-- western, disco, plaid w/hat, ken plaid w/board and sugars daddy. I did just purchase 12 days 2023 because i missed out on 2022, 2023 is gorgeous and accessories worth it. Just purchased pink hair last of the pink collection they just shipped her she will be the only pink collection doll I have. I planned on buying more dolls this year from the website but really asked myself do I love it, would i want to display, or play with the doll, that helped cut down buying impulse. Mattel thinks Platinum dolls aren't being taken out of the box because they clearly don't know me! 😂 However, my doll budget has definitely run out a while ago, nevertheless I am anxiously waiting for the new series of mermaids to get hold of Odile and the new series of Looks dolls because I sincerely hope there is a petite with the complexion I need 😅 beyond to new beautiful faces. Besides this, I'm torn between whether or not I hope that MGA also makes Hello Kitty-themed OMGs. I would like them because I know they would be wonderful, but at the same time my wallet looks at me with an annoyed look 🫣
The could make a Yasmeen Ghauri Barbie and use the 90’s Theresa face mold they look SOOO similar. Even when I was a kid I thought Yasmeen looked like Theresa and visa versa; my friend had a Theresa who I always named Yasmeen when I played with her (who was and still us my fav supermodel: ) .
Oh gosh, the doll budget problem for sure!!! Liccachan, Integrity Toys, and more!!! I haven't even found the Barbie Movie four seat corvette for a good price yet so I stopped buying dolls in case I have to spend 100 dollars over retail. And I've been hemming and hawing about the Advent Barbie and new pink Barbie too. I'm still waiting to see if I rather spend my budget on the new BFMC doll and the Easter advent Barbie next year. I think I'm grateful for corporate's budget decisions because they have been saving my wallet a lot since the quality isn't worth the money half the time. They need better clothes for playline. It's sad. That's why all those movie Barbies were tough on the wallet. They actually had detail! They should have put balloons in the background of the birthday doll. I love her face, but I wish she had better shoes and a slightly bigger dress. I think it would be fun if they did multiple dolls like they do with the holiday dolls. In terms of the pink Barbie, I actually like the shoes. There are definitely worse shoes in playline now-a-days. The glasses are an edgy look, but not for me. I'd rather have earrings. I feel like Barbie doesn't get earrings much anymore. I wish they would release a few new shoe packs. I like 2-3 pairs of the shoes and two of the dresses in the new playline fashion pack, but overall it's not so great. Very questionable style.

I will admit I haven’t been able to add a lot of new dolls to my collection this year. I got a few of the Barbie Movie dolls but fitting them into my budget has been hard. It just seems like a base line collector doll now starts at $100 at least. If I’m paying 100 I want quality too and it’s just lacking. Back in the day you could get a decent collector doll for $50-$75. Even buying off eBay you pay out the wazoo for shipping too. I guess we can still have those wishlists right? That’s why I enjoy your videos so you can show us what you get! I think you should do a best and worst of 2023 too!! ❤❤ I love Mariah and I’m hoping she will be under my tree this Christmas.

Hello everyone, I was confused for new cutie revel series, for me they look ugly, animal inside animal. I wish they did instead of mascot clothes - girls wearing cute animal inspired outfits. They can get inspiration from Barbienation 😊. I dont buy collector dolls for that exact financial reasons, they too expensive. I got for myself MH Twyla doll and as you mentioned before that Barbie Extra is done, I kind of panicked and bought Barbie extra 8. I was fall in love in her, I like her hair, skin color and face mold. For Claudia doll she looks cheap, and also she had better looks on a stage, they could do better. For holiday I got for a good discount tooth fairy, around 40$ CAD, and she is better than the gold holiday season Barbie in my opinion, she has according to reviews articulated body. Also need to add I got 2 dolls of Barbie totally hair doll, 2023 totally hair doll? The one with pink hair, super cute, saran hair! I got her 29$cad in our Amazon and she is available for us in Ca. She is a good candidate for Barbienation pastel remake ❤😊
The new pink collection doll #5 is my self Christmas gift. My first one actually from that line because I love the kit face and wasn't interested in the others before her tbh and if I'm not mistaken this is 2nd time besides the kit looks I have seen of her so this will be a well worth purchase because I love that sculpt and even though yeah I can agree the shoes are...questionable 😅 but I'm a debox collector so I'll get to change the shoes if anything 🤭 .

It was really hard to choose how to spend the last dollar budget of the year 😅 in the end I could not resist getting Aurora and Alice from the Disney Mattel Dolls 🤩 I also got one of the Lunar New Year doll ❤ I was not thrilled by the Claudia S doll 😬 at least i saved money because of it 😅
I have to do a tally of how much I spent on dolls this year, and it’s not going to be pretty. I started collecting 3 years ago, and this is my biggest year yet. I bought some of almost every major doll line, including many Barbies and several Integrity dolls. I also got some older dolls, including some Silkstones, My Scene, and about 2 dozen Fashion Fever outfits. Now I am literally out of space and money. So, I hope 2024 slows down on releases, and I will also be selling some of my lower-tier dolls.

I only do them for my favorites and her face is so cute that she definitely needs to be part of my made to move dolls. I could technically buy a couple new dolls but definitely not collector prices.i have a fairly small monthly doll budget and I really want the Frankie Stein doll with the keytar. She belongs with my Monster Ball girlies. And I cannot wait for the Venus Mcflytrap doll. She is so darling!

Yes on the recap! I really don’t like the Barbie x American Girl doll. I ordered Claudia doll and should have her soon. Her face wasn’t why I wanted her but for her dress so I hope it is amazing. I don’t like the burgundy red in her hair for turquoise so I am planning to reroot her once I get her. 😂 I also thought she was crystal but it makes more sense to be gemstone. I just got the pink collection 5 doll and she is so much better in person and I took the glasses off and she looks better ❤ you don’t notice her shoes and her stand is 2 pinks also

The American Girl dolls 🫣 well my daughters all had their dolls that looked like them with matching outfits but they are very stiff and had to play with. Yaaaasss! I’m BROKE. I really limit myself to dolls that look like ppl in my life and I only buy multiples of my own mini, my husband and my daughters. I don’t buy an extra to save for collecting. Oh I do buy dolls with disabilities since I’m a huge advocate. I like the dolls that are unusual by age or appearance such as the inspiring women collection. Frankly I'm just going to say it here, because of the subject of the video. I am a doll collector always on a budget. So, I am tired of these releases that are pricey and you're "lucky" to get the doll before they sell out. Ugh. One of the reasons I liked Mattel dolls, Barbie in particular, but also Monster High. Was that they were play line dolls and not much was rare or hard to find or afford. But even that really ugly fashion pack you showed and talked about, is $30! For a bunch of dresses that if they were in the individual fashion packs I wouldn't even bother with them. I DO like the black dress with the pink bow and pink strappy sandals. Too bad it's not just being released by itself, because the rest is so just forgettable and very much Fashionista clothing, i.e. cheap looking. I understand they have to appeal to the kids, but they used to put out individual fashion packs of one or two dresses per year that were a cut above the rest of the just for kids stuff. But not anymore. So people are buying elsewhere like Etsy and Temu for the better looking doll clothes. That's sad, because with the Barbie the Movie fashion pack, which I did buy, Mattel showed what they still could do if they wanted to. It was worth it's price tag. Just had to vent a little. 😉🎀💖 Oh, and a best and worst of 2023 dolls would be a fun video to see.

The ’fights’ over budget is what Mattel made them loose customers, in my opinion.
They continue to produce tons of cheap, non articulated dolls that nobody needs and wants and has too many of.
People would be way more happy with less dolls as long as they are of good quality, which means:
Articulated bodies, Saran hair and nice clothing, ALWAYS.
Plus, we can do without dolls coming with playsets, it is unnessecary.
Mattel should stay on the market byt right now, it feels they are cheaping out.

Yes I absolutely agree!!! Better quality!!! I feel like the best decade was the early to mid 2000s for the collector dolls! They were so beautiful with great materials and real jewelry. Oh I miss those.
That is what works for collectors, but not necessarily for kids and their parents, and the Mattel shareholders. I born in the 70s, and I definitely miss the doll quality of previous decades, but several things are different now. Kids stop playing with dolls at a younger age, there is an increase in acquisition and throwing things away, the middle class is shrinking, and there has been inflation. To me it seems like Barbie Extra was a trial to reach a middle ground for Mattel, and I don’t think they sold that well. I have more than half of them, but I got almost all of them on sale.
@@c.w.2000 if you ask me, the fact Extra Fancy was at the same price as a RH core doll that came with two outfits and thus didn't sell is likely what killed the Extra line in the end.

Arjen- You are soooo correct- Everything is soooo expensive these days. I keep looking on Ebay for the Mark Ryan Pink Pop Barbie which sellers sell for $800 to $1,500. That is more than 100% mark-up. I cannot see paying that much for a Barbie because that is more than a car payment in the USA and more than apartment rent in the USA. I love Barbie, but like you all I can think is "I don't have a doll budget for that. I am retired." I collect only Barbies and Kens and I try to limit myself to 150 dolls only. I have 1 adult daughter and only grandsons. They do not want the Barbies. I would hate to buy all these Barbies and Kens and my family throw them out! And they will.

Yes, the original price was really high, even with the Swarovski crystals, but people are paying twice that price on eBay (in the sold listings). As a collector with some expensive dolls, I tend not to judge how much someone wants to spend on a doll, but to me the current secondary market doll prices indicate some people have lost perspective.
The AG dolls are vey expensive and they're only making as many as are preordered. Due to this, the material cost is higher as they can't guarantee a lower price by buying the necessary materials in bulk. It's an issue that always comes up with made-to-order items.

Mattel is having terrible problems with quality control. Saw several reviews of the new Cutie Reveal dolls with multiple complaints about hair rooting, face painting and clothing issues. So disappointing. I love, love, love the flowing gowns on the special dolls as well as the hair colors. The Pink Collection doll is adorable. Love the recaps. American Girl was once called Pleasant Company and the original molds were from the Götz doll company. Their gimmick was to send doll catalogs to households with children from the ages of 6-10 yrs of age from the late 80s into the 90s and Mattel does it even now as long as you subscribe. Mattel bought them in 1998. The level of detail and design for these dolls that were focused on historical events and books about the girls who lived in that time that were made into dolls. My mind was blown when I saw my first catalog! There was nothing like it on the doll market then in the U.S. I never was able to get one bc they were so expensive then and now too. In 2011, I happened upon a Samantha doll and boom adult doll collector! 😂❤ And I’m forever grateful 🥹
The Barbie AG doll is adorable, but a lot of collectors are either customizing their own or buying a custom AG doll that was made into Barbie. She is the first collab btwn AG and Barbie. AG dropped 4 other $300 dolls plus a $250+ Holiday release then they released Barbie 🤯🫠 I could not justify any of them at that price point. I guess a lot of the doll stock went to second hand sellers and Mattel has tried to correct the problem, but people in many different doll communities are upset with Mattel as I collect AG, Barbie and Monster High 😅 so yes very broke this year!

American girl dolls and all their gadgets and sets are expensive. Special editions like the Barbie one reach a very high price.
Luckily again it was never my type of doll, although I was in their NYC store and I was impressed by the level of details they put on this line. I ended up buying one the doll for the doll, basically a miniature of an American girl doll and it is so freaking cute.

I have that fashion pack! They look nice in the promo but some of the fabrics they used feel really cheap. The black dress with the bow, the jeans and the metallic vest feel really cheap and paper like. It comes in a pink cardboard box and with 4 paper bags with cute illustrations of different barbies. I unfortunately don't have them anymore but if you were wondering there you go.

Yes, that's right, the American Girl dolls are not sold in Europe, we have other variants in Europe, my personal favorite 18-inch dolls are from the German brand Gotz, they have "Gotz Happy Kids" and are jointed in 9 places and i have a couple of these dolls they are very beautiful and cute to see, and then we have "Gotz Precious Day" dolls that come closer to American Girl dolls, they have the same legs, arms and ears, but I think the nice thing about Gotz dolls is that the hair is rooted, and is easy to wash and style, the American Girl dolls have wigs that often become dry and frizzy after years of playing. And when it comes to my Barbie purchases for this year, i think i'm almost broke and need to safe some money again to buy other dolls that are on my wishlist that i really want. 😊😉

I am not a Barbie collector per se but am keen on adding dolls, play sets and clothes for my 6 year old daughter. For Christmas I got her a bunch of vintage/older Barbie stuff on eBay … and the prices are atrocious!! Luckily she doesn’t mind if it’s used/out of the box so that saves me a bunch. Personally I am in love with some Fashion Fever dolls and fashions but they are soooo ghastly expensive. A 2004 Lea doll (the one I want the most) is $300, a single outfit with pants and a shirt out of the box is $45, a fashion pack is $65. But they are so cute 🥲 I also really want late 80’s fashion packs for both Barbie and Skipper. I have all the Pet Pals but want the Paris Pretty sets
Fashion Fever has some of the best fashions out there indeed but their prices keep getting more expensive! So if you see a reasonable deal, get it before it’s gone! 😅

The American Girl Barbie is super cute! She has already sold out though. I would like to get one but, at $300.00 dollars that's a little rich for my blood! The is an American Girl doll store here in Manhattan. They are toddler dolls and you can choose the hair color you would like and the skin tone. They start at $110. 00 to $160.00. They have all kinds of accessories such as beds, dishes, clothes etc.. I used to get their catalog; filled with many beautiful things! 😊
You're not wrong about the new Birthday Wishes doll - she's really pretty and her dress colors are nice, but compared to the Birthday dolls from the 90's, she doesn't have that wow factor. Or feel like she's birthday-themed. I might be biased as a collector, but she feels more like a celebration of springtime than anything.

The Birthday wishes outfit needs a few tulle layers it reminds me about The Sound of Music film. I mentioned before that I was about to buy the Corvette barbie this isnt the recent 2023 edition but 2008 The Pink Label with 3 colors yellow, red and magenta the box is printed with urging people to get one of each color like a scavenger hunt. I picked the yellow but its rough when a person must choose their favorite.

I had my budget set aside for the movie dolls 500, and the releases of Barbies friends {3} I ended up buying only 1 of the Barbie friends special releases and 5 of the movie dolls 250 for 5 dolls hmm they all should have been 25 each if you ask me-- western, disco, plaid w/hat, ken plaid w/board and sugars daddy. I did just purchase 12 days 2023 because i missed out on 2022, 2023 is gorgeous and accessories worth it. Just purchased pink hair last of the pink collection they just shipped her she will be the only pink collection doll I have. I planned on buying more dolls this year from the website but really asked myself do I love it, would i want to display, or play with the doll, that helped cut down buying impulse. The extra money saved went to Extra fly, Looks and some cute accessories from etsy. Thank you for all your content reviews always love each video xo

The could make a Yasmeen Ghauri Barbie and use the 90’s Theresa face mold they look SOOO similar. Even when I was a kid I thought Yasmeen looked like Theresa and visa versa; my friend had a Theresa who I always named Yasmeen when I played with her (who was and still us my fav supermodel: ) .

Oh gosh, the doll budget problem for sure!!! Liccachan, Integrity Toys, and more!!! I haven't even found the Barbie Movie four seat corvette for a good price yet so I stopped buying dolls in case I have to spend 100 dollars over retail. And I've been hemming and hawing about the Advent Barbie and new pink Barbie too. I'm still waiting to see if I rather spend my budget on the new BFMC doll and the Easter advent Barbie next year.
I think I'm grateful for corporate's budget decisions because they have been saving my wallet a lot since the quality isn't worth the money half the time. They need better clothes for playline. It's sad. That's why all those movie Barbies were tough on the wallet. They actually had detail!
They should have put balloons in the background of the birthday doll. I love her face, but I wish she had better shoes and a slightly bigger dress. I think it would be fun if they did multiple dolls like they do with the holiday dolls.
In terms of the pink Barbie, I actually like the shoes. There are definitely worse shoes in playline now-a-days. The glasses are an edgy look, but not for me. I'd rather have earrings. I feel like Barbie doesn't get earrings much anymore.
I wish they would release a few new shoe packs. I like 2-3 pairs of the shoes and two of the dresses in the new playline fashion pack, but overall it's not so great. Very questionable style.

Back in the day you could get a decent collector doll for $50-$75. Even buying off eBay you pay out the wazoo for shipping too. I guess we can still have those wishlists right? Hello everyone, I was confused for new cutie revel series, for me they look ugly, animal inside animal. I wish they did instead of mascot clothes - girls wearing cute animal inspired outfits. They can get inspiration from Barbienation 😊. I dont buy collector dolls for that exact financial reasons, they too expensive. I got for myself MH Twyla doll and as you mentioned before that Barbie Extra is done, I kind of panicked and bought Barbie extra 8. I was fall in love in her, I like her hair, skin color and face mold. For Claudia doll she looks cheap, and also she had better looks on a stage, they could do better. For holiday I got for a good discount tooth fairy, around 40$ CAD, and she is better than the gold holiday season Barbie in my opinion, she has according to reviews articulated body. Also need to add I got 2 dolls of Barbie totally hair doll, 2023 totally hair doll? The one with pink hair, super cute, saran hair! I got her 29$cad in our Amazon and she is available for us in Ca. She is a good candidate for Barbienation pastel remake ❤😊

I have to do a tally of how much I spent on dolls this year, and it’s not going to be pretty. I started collecting 3 years ago, and this is my biggest year yet. I bought some of almost every major doll line, including many Barbies and several Integrity dolls. I also got some older dolls, including some Silkstones, My Scene, and about 2 dozen Fashion Fever outfits. Now I am literally out of space and money. So, I hope 2024 slows down on releases, and I will also be selling some of my lower-tier dolls.

I got that Tori Christmas doll last year. She is so cute! I need to do a body swap for her. I only do them for my favorites and her face is so cute that she definitely needs to be part of my made to move dolls. I could technically buy a couple new dolls but definitely not collector prices.i have a fairly small monthly doll budget and I really want the Frankie Stein doll with the keytar. I really don’t like the Barbie x American Girl doll.
I ordered Claudia doll and should have her soon. Her face wasn’t why I wanted her but for her dress so I hope it is amazing.
I don’t like the burgundy red in her hair for turquoise so I am planning to reroot her once I get her. 😂 I also thought she was crystal but it makes more sense to be gemstone.
I just got the pink collection 5 doll and she is so much better in person and I took the glasses off and she looks better ❤ you don’t notice her shoes and her stand is 2 pinks also

The American Girl dolls 🫣 well my daughters all had their dolls that looked like them with matching outfits but they are very stiff and had to play with. Yaaaasss! I’m BROKE. I really limit myself to dolls that look like ppl in my life and I only buy multiples of my own mini, my husband and my daughters. I don’t buy an extra to save for collecting. Oh I do buy dolls with disabilities since I’m a huge advocate. I like the dolls that are unusual by age or appearance such as the inspiring women collection. I have to be very careful because I am looking like a total hoarder. I’m curious 👀 Where do You live? Are You American? I’m Swedish but live in California. Thank you for sharing 💝 .
