Ah, I don't think that's so difficult. Judy is only doing what all actors need to do, which is get on with it, to keep working hard, and, yes, if necessary, have the words written on the back of your hands. Ask her, I bet that in some show, somewhere, in a hurry, having no real rehearsals, she's done that, or at least had them written down off-stage. You'd be amazed at how many Oscar-winners have done that. Some just because they - well never mind why, I just happen to know some who have really done it. So keep working at anything. John Windsor-Cunningham !
John Windsor-Cunningham Thank you, Sir. I really do need to get on with it. And as it turns out, your advice is exactly what I needed to hear (read?) right now ! Time to so stop being a Lady Macbeth in Hamlet’s main soliloquy.

How are you doing these days Mr Windsor-Cunningham?, just wanted to check in because you haven’t uploaded in a while and your videos have helped me so much!. Hope 2021 is treating you well so far! .
Sorry, I made some error uploading videos and at least 3 of last years did not go to my channel, but are on RUclips, like "Shakespeare's monologues for experienced actors'" & "Shakespeare's comedy characters for experienced actors"' & "How o be a better actor" and I will try again to sort it out, and also incredibly busy (as a new 'blog' on my website next week will explain)! So all well here, thanks, and a production planned for July. Thanks for interest. I'll try and sort out the channel problem. John Windsor-Cunningham
I just felt like telling you, reading the script for the play Closer before watching the cinematic trailer was wonderful and I highly recommend aspiring actors to watch as little film and theatre as possible and to simply read the plays.
Well said. Yes! Watching other actors can be a huge mistake. It's "YOU" that you need to get out there. (Not in an egotistical way, as openly an freely as possible, but certainly not copying any other actors!) John Windsor-Cunningham
Nice film! But weren’t the characters a bit one-dimensional do you think? :-) Besides being funny the little film made my thoughts take off in many directions. Talking of which: did you need much direction and a lot of takes for the rôle?
This was done in one take, with no direction and is my preparation for playing Macbeth, which I seem to be the only person to realize is a comedy. John Windsor-Cunningham
Hello! In previous video you were talking about choosing right monologue. That it’s essential either find some piece about you or make it about you. And my question is HOW exactly make it about me? Are there any particular advice which can suit to everyone? Thank you!
How? Work night and day looking through possibilities, OR (only if you want to) have a session with me via my website (not here) Windsor-Cunningham.com - the 'Contact' page. But work hard, sorry but it's what successful actors do! John Windsor-Cunningham
Yes, very funny, very clever, but you are scaring me - as some people here might mean what you say seriously! But very good to tease me on it. If we'd had time we could have had the actress look slightly more surprised, and maybe some other character would have been better than "Lady Macbeth" for me to suggest Hamlet talks to, but time ruled. So,- assuming you are joking, - very funny. John Windsor-Cunningham
I am shocked, alarmed, and amazed. This video of mine is a testament to realism. Every word accurate, the clothes precisely what I wear, the scenery an exact mirror of what I - and my acting students - see through my windows, and the charge of $5,000 per hour quoted here exactly half of what Brad PItt's coach charges, so I cannot see anything in this to surprise you. I am not an authority on the side-effect of the new Covid strain, but am concerned you may have taken some medication and misunderstood the simple truth of this video. But I wish you well, John Windsor-Cunningham
hi sir! i hope u could read this and give me advice. i am a 13 year old girl who wants to become an actress, i dont need to be world famous i just would love to become an actress, and my question is: do you think theatre classes are nessacary to become an film actress??
Yes. Look up all the actors an actresses that you like in any film or play on their Wikipedia page and you will see that they nearly all went to a drama school for a few years. It is expensive and difficult to get in, so start being good at school in everything else, then your idea may be taken more seriously, but if you can find a class online for your age that feels safe then yes, do it, of course. And let your parents know who you are contacting on the internet. John Windsor-Cunningham
hello, i dont know what to do. i want to be an tv actress, but acting on stage, so theater doesnt attract me at all.. i think i would be so akward on stage. but tv acting does make me exited so i dont know what to do. because most acters start with theater.. so im kinda stuck
Then do it, don't talk about it and waste time dreaming, do it, do online readings of film screenplays with others an go to a drama school if you can get into one. Study hard so that you can get work which will pay for a good acing course. But do it. The amount of work thousands of others do means you have to be as good as them or better, as you will all want the same jobs. So get into a decent drama school that works mainly on film work. If you don't 'want' it that much then fine, do something connected to it maybe. John Windsor-Cunningham
Heavens, a hundred reasons, every reason you can imagine. All of them happen in real life to actors. Money, who you know, other actors have better managers, or maybe they're not as good as you think they are, just to start with! John Windsor-Cunningham
Well - and sorry - but I'd need to know what your question is really about. Everyone prefers different actors for entirely personal reasons, so simple answers to this mean nothing much. Quentin directed AND wrote it so had a freedom with the scenes which no other director would have had, and David C liked was allowed to push his own personality in his role more than some directors would have allowed. But I felt it suited the film. Still . . I can't discuss acting without knowing what you are like, and certainly not in a few lines of text. All actors are aiming at the same thing, that's all that matters. David C found a way of doing that which satisfied him. John Windor-Cunningham
@@NewYorkActingCoachd I just watched kill bill a couple of months ago. Somehow the movie gets better every passing day since the day I saw it. I've also read that there are some deep themes like allegorical interpretations from Zen Buddhism, the 5 poisons (each one being one character in the movie) etc. I mean, what I want to ask is, Did you like the movie, and is there anything you would like to say about Carradine's acting. Maybe you could rate it?. I mean I think IMO it's one of the best films of all time and David Carradine was abnormally good in it.
