      Same now happens in French: "tchu vois la voitchure" instead of "tu vois la voiture". Makes me cringe each time... It's mostly with the vowel "u" though, don't know why^^

    Elision is an excuse for laziness. We should speak and pronounce words correctly.

      The US too, they just don't put the glottal stops. E.g. they say "innernational" instead of "international" and "inneresting" instead of "interesting"

    I'm a English learner and not bigginer...My English techer from UK always speaks very clear beautiful English. Should I ask him about it?

      Good question. It sounds like your teacher speaks "standard English" which is great for learning. However, many/most British natives don't speak "standard English". Your teacher will know about this :)

      i'd say that the pronnunciation for botttle of water is fairly consistent across all accents in the UK

      Yeah I talk like that most of the time, but my phone voice is entirely different and people take tha piss out of me, I mostly talk proper English on the phone and towards my friends like Dutch, Spanish, Germans and Americans otherwise i'll lose them.
