U have shown me more scooby doo live action movie I never seen
I love scooby doo, i'd see it.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
3C Films Yes! I would want a cliffhanger as the ending.
Yes
I honestly enjoyed these live action movies when I was a kid.
Same here
Same I actually recently sat down and watched them with my little sister and I still think they hold up

You were all morons. The movies were terrible. Matthew Lillard was the best part of both
Me too. But now i'm still enjoying it.

Scooby Doo 3:
- A great twist ending.
- Everyone gets a happy ending.
- Scooby Doo and the gang retire.

Scream 5 is happening, so it could happen.
The SammyVerse and shrek 5
@@r0xyepis0de4 Is that still happening, because I don't know?
The SammyVerse apparently it was supposed to be the summer of this year, but I haven’t heard anymore since corona
r0xy epis0de definitely isn’t coming out til at least 2 years. They’d have to announce the start of production
I don’t care how old the cast is today, can they come back please
i remember in 02 seeing the first Scooby-Doo and Austin Powers In Goldmember 2002 was the shit miss those dayz
Yes please
I agree they need to come back I just want a 3rd or maybe even a 4th film as well. 3 would have saved the whole franchise.
Your right
Omg yes please! I love the first 2 live action Scooby Doo movies.
I always thought it would be cool for the OG actors to come back and do a Scooby-Doo reunion. Since the actors are a lot older. In the movie they can explain that the group broke up because of lack of business and had to go their separate ways. Velma can go back to working for NASA (like she did in the first movie) Fred and Daphne would be married, Maybe they co-wrote a best selling book about their time in Mystery Inc. As for Shaggy and Scooby they could be food critics or maybe resturant owners. (Something with food lol). They would have a reunion to catch up but something goes down in the hotel they're staying at and they have to solve the mystery like old times.
I think it be really cool and to see the OG cast to say their catch phrases would just be nostalgic.
And have Fred go through a mid-mystery crisis because he doesn’t have a catchphrase
That would definitely work for a movie, maybe like Zombie Island, but live action.
@@osmanyousif7849 I was thinking exactly the same thing! A Zombie Island live action or something along those lines would be great
@@cristhianmina7204 I think what they should do if they go they’re separate ways they should still be friends.
i actually really love this idea!! & i think scooby & shaggy should run a food truck that looks like the mystery machine!
I'm still pissed about them not letting Mathew Lillard at least know that they wouldn't be bringing him back especially since he's iconic as shaggy
Shut the fuck up about it
@@Mikemyers2948 no, the commenter was spitting
Indeed
But at least he still gets to play him in other Scooby Doo media.
Oh they knew what they had, Lillard has been voicing shaggy in animation for years since the live action films + the original voice actor died
These movies were perfection
Peter Parker absolute perfection!
yup
Nice
Peter Parker shut up and FIX YOUR DAMN DOOR
Amen! I love Scooby Doo live action movies. Enough said.
The Scooby Doo film almost getting an R rating is about as absurd as the 2003 Cat in the Hat movie tv rating. That film has a TV-14 rating whenever it airs on cable..... A Cat in the Hat movie.
There was a dirty hoe joke and a boner joke sooooooooooo
@@omegaspinosaurus7966 I meant the fact that a young children's storybook character adapted into a film was turned into a TV-14 rated live action movie.... is quiet absurd.... Also in the deleted scenes, The Cat in the Hat casually turns over to the baby sister and says "pffftttt.... Did I ever tell you about the time I got my things caught in a door?"
And another deleted scene where the goldfish calls the mom on the phone (the mom is sitting on the front deck of a house, playing GBA). The Goldfish tries to tell her a strange man broke into her house and started fiddling with her kids and trying to drug them with strange food.
The mom replies back "Who?.... Who are you?... How do you know this is going on in my house?"
The fish replies back "Let's just say I'm a family friend who watches you 24/7 while bathing in my own piss" (she hangs up).
And yet another deleted scene where Alec Baldwin's character ties up the family's dog to the back of a TV so he wouldn't run away. All he did was tie the leash to the back of the TV, ....but they filmed it and made sound effects that implied Alec Baldwin took the dog's leash and snapped the dog's neck with it.
I bring this up, wondering if maybe... just maybe.... The Cat in the Hat could have gotten a R or TV-MA rating if they kept these scenes in.
There was gonna have a lesbian scene with velma and daphnie
@@psychobillynumbnuts1 Was it with Fred in Daphine's body or the monsters in Daphine and Velma's body? (I'm curious, I actually think it could of been a funny scene with Fred in Daphine's body hitting on Velma. I didn't look into any of the deleted scenes and script ideas in the live action Scoby Doo films).
The CiTH live action movie should be classified as a horror flick.
God I wish this movie happened. Matthew Leonard was perfect as shaggy and I wish we seen Matthew play him one last time.
I mean, he did give the voice during the Mystery Inc. Series
@@betterlatethannever4529 I thought he has been the replacement voice of Shaggy ever since the original died. Maybe I'm wrong?
it's Matthew Lillard plus he has been Shaggy since Mystery Incorporated. They last time we saw Casey was in Mystery Inc as a different character.
Yah But It Sucks He’s Not In Scoob Or Any Of The Others
Have you ever seen his behind the scenes performances for the movie? There are times where he is literally acting on his own and Scoobys lines are being given to him by the VA. It's crazy but more power to him for being able to do it.
The zombies in "Zombie Island" were also the good guys. Just trying to warn the gang about the demonic curse, on Lina, and Semone.
Honestly, they could have conveyed that better even a little bit. Because even today, I have to have that explained to me.
Plot twist Shaggy saw in the future so he used his power to cancel the movie
And use his powers to make Scoob and made a clone of himself in Scoob
It is BECAUSE I am a Scooby Doo fan that I will NOT be giving Scoob! my money. The way they treated Lillard is pathetic.
Yeah dont bother... I gave it a chance in spite of the bad reviews and gotta say it was absolute garbage. Regret seeing it.
@@julie2379
So, they treated Lillard like garbage, didn't use the original VA of Fred to voice Fred, and ended up making a bad movie?
Imagine my shock
They also got rid of the lady who voiced Daphne for 20 years as well :(
Not to mention them ignoring the amazing original background of the characters. I love that shaggys family own scoobys parents. Making scoob a stray is kinda cute but the og story is miles better
I couldn't get 20 minutes into it. Don't waste your time. All of what everyone said here, PLUS Scooby talks waaaaaay too much. They tried to weirdly modernize it, and even as far as I got in the movie, I still didn't know what was going on.

LB Action Studios it scares me too man lol
Ugh wth, I thought that was just one of my nightmares
To be honest, I prefer that over the one from the 2000s movies. He looked kind of scary in those because they went full realism with him and only added some elements of the cartoon on top of him. It's on par with Marmaduke and Garfield's live action film models.
The way he looks in the TV movies is much closer to the way he usually looks in the cartoons, despite the even worse effects due to budget. However it does have its shortcomings, like the part where his eyes bulge out of his head is freaky as hell looking in live action.
Why does Scooby-Doo looked almost real in the original live-action movies and CGI in the Direct-To-Video
LexRam Studios Texturing. He’s designed with a more realistic fur and textures in the theatrical movies.

Honestly, I get that eventually someone would have to replace Lillard, but how they did it was beyond pathetic.
You guys act like he was the only one who got replaced. He voice acted for a Scooby character the least amount of time compared to Fred (the OG) and Grey Delisle. In all honesty he made it seem like he lost the role completely, but he still is voice acting in the animated movies. The only person I care about is Mindy Cohn being replaced. Bring her back, she is the only good Velma.
They should make a 3rd scooby doo film where they are all already adults in their 40s and 50s. Same cast.
Probably not gonna happen but I can dream.
What would’ve been cool with that is making a movie where the gang all has kids and stuff and they end up falling into the gangs shoes and solve a mystery with the gangs help etc.

Yea those comics were pretty badass
@@fidelgarcia2224 yup
David Brown have you read James Gunns original Scooby Doo script it’s actually pretty good, and you can find traces of it online. It’s more of an origin story than the final product. But that stuff about Daphne and Velma being in a side relationship was there, Shaggy being a more overt stoner. There’s even a subplot of Shaggy pursuing a gf, leaving Scooby to feel abandoned
The only thing in it that the PG version doesn’t have is cleavage, that’s it, that’s enough for an R rating.
Do you know that the actors who played Daphne and Fred actually got married in real life? Ain't that cute, huh?

They tried doing a live action series a second time. With "The Mystery Begins" and "Curse of The Lake Monster". There was supposed to be a third movie in that series as well, but poor sales took that possible series away from us too. We don't talk about the dumpster fire that is "Velma & Daphne". Now there is a trailer out for an R-Rated Scooby Doo fan film that's going the more gorey horror route. I highly suggest looking that up.

I’m sorry if u love movies rotten tomatoes means nothing they are Biased
Evidently you don't know how Rotten Tomatoes works. They're an aggregate. Bias has nothing to do with it. The score is based on reviews from many sources. It tells you the reception of the movie, not how good it is.

Don’t hate me, but I like the first one more than the second. I never really cared for the 2nd as much even when I was little.
I agree. The first felt more like its own movie, with an actual storyline, the second film felt more like fan service bringing back elements of the cartoon, not bad, it was just too much of a retelling like (Jumani or Goosebumps)
The whole "oh hey guise Scrappy is the bad guy" plot seemed....lazy.
Sniff Heinkel I honestly didn’t like that either it was supposed to have been “Old Man Smithers” the Luna Ghost from the beginning of the film. My only guess was they wanted to reintroduce scrappy in some way
@@SniffHeinkel whats wrong with that twist?
Really? I'm the exact opposite, but then again when I was a kid my family had the first film on VHS and the second on DVD. Looking back, that's probably what led to me watching the second more.
That and we probably lost the VHS some time ago, I'm not sure what happened to it really. Still have a working VCR though!
I'm honestly shocked critics and "audiences" disliked the sequel, it's sad that we'll never see a 3rd film, since the actors have now aged, but we will get lifeless cash grabs like "scoob" who didn't even bother to contact Matthew Lillard "Shaggy" from 2002/04. Fuck Hollywood, so happy it was a flop.

I liked the live-action movies as well, and I would've also liked to have seen part 3. It's got a unique lesson and twist in it that I could easily see being a great plot and the reveal would also be unique. Maybe we would've gotten call-backs to the previous 2 movies as well as other canonical material, I.E. references to monsters like Space Kook, Gator Ghoul, etc. that would also make the film hilarious.
I don't know why, but I just thought of Matthew Lillard coming back to do a Logan-style Shaggy
Why do I now need this in my life??
Haven't seen these movies in years, but I definitely geeked out about all the familiar monsters in the 2nd one. I remember liking the characters, portrayals and certain set pieces, but wasn't crazy about the stories. It always felt like a wasted opportunity. The 3rd plot and twist didn't sound that great, either. That twist has been used in other movies to better effect. When it comes to Scooby Doo, I keep going back to the original TV shows. That's where the magic is.
I wouldn't mind a fresh live action reboot if they get a good writer with respect for the originals. I'd love expanded takes on some classics, spooky space kook, mono tiki tia, etc. Or even a trio of short films, a la Creepshow or Cat's Eye.
I was always inlove with Velma 💀
Chris Cross same here fam

@3C Films, 😆
Same Velma is my only cartoon crush.
Don’t forget how there is a RUclips channel called mystery incorporated that is producing a more adult version. And it’s a live action show
Yes but I wish someone would continue _this_ story and not just hit the hard reset. I wanna see how the trilogy ends.
I loved these movies so much when I was a kid! When I was younger, I would get up early on Saturday mornings, run downstairs to the tv and watch the original animated Scooby Doo tv series. It really has a special place in my heart!
Scooby Doo 2 is a stoner masterpiece. I’ve watched it at least 4 times and I still have no idea what the plot is. All I remember is it being the funniest movie I’ve ever seen and that weird scene where Shaggy gets swole.
3:22 oh well on the bright side it wasn't the end of him being shaggy considering that after Casey Kasem retired he actually took over the voice role
7:59 you mean like in Zombie island?
9:12 I don't know for some reason I find Velma getting a new boyfriend every time a movie comes out.....which kind of makes me wonder what happened to the hot vacation boyfriend from the first film?

That plot twist where the monsters are the victims is absolutely brilliant! Wish we could've gotten it.
SCOOBY DOOBY DOOOOOO!!!

I love the live actions, the first one has always been my favourite though. They captured the characters perfectly and I think the adult-like themes made it more real to me as a kid. I was honestly obsessed and am so disappointed we'll never get a third. Scoob! didn't hit the same way, and Shaggy without Matthew Lillard's voice feels misplaced.
Matthew Lillard deserves to have been/be in way more movies. One of my favorite actors of all time.
R rated for cleavage? Really? The fan made series in production I understand with it being a horror theme but the official ones for cleavage? They’re adults in the live action films!
Damn that's tuff that explains why there wasn't 3rd to complete the trilogy
7:53 umm Zombie Island? The one where we were led to believe the zombies were the enemies when they were the victims?
I defenitely enjoyed these movies when I was younger. I mean, its pretty bad now, but its a guilty pleasure for me.
Kid Kritic guilty pleasures all the way!
James Gunn the Pervert Disney brought back what a coward
We have to admit that in the movies they had awesome references and some of the monsters are amazingly made like the ten thousand volt ghost, black knight, captain cutler, the twin skeletons, the tar monster and there original ideas like the monsters and the Luna ghost in the 1st
But whatever people say I still loved the live action movies
I’m not just saying that l loved these movies
It would’ve been cool to see space Kook and see him flying in his space ship and chasing the gang with the Pterodactyl ghost when there in the Mystery machine and the creeper would have been cool in there too
If I would to fix Scooby Doo 2 Monsters Unleashed I would leave out some of the monsters and put in better monsters
Stay: Black Night Ghost, Captain Cutler, 1000 Volt Ghost, Tar Monster Pterodactyl Ghost,
Put in. Space Kook, Creeper, Wolfman
Put away: Zombie, Miner 49er, Skeleton Men, Cotten Candy Glob,
If they were to go to Scotland I would’ve really wanted to see the kelpie, hag, banshee, and a dragon maybe?
Omg a banshee would have been really cool! The only thing is that I’d kinda just incision her as a depressed ghost, and her wailing is from her crying. (Note: I’d totally relate to that)
I might be late to the party but I think it would of been a pretty neat twist. I had always thought why not a 3rd film? Thanks for answering it for me. Also I enjoyed "SCOOB" the animated movie. Really liked it. Scooby will and always be my favorite of any of the Hanna Barbera franchises and The Flintstones being in 2nd!!! Great video too!
In zombieland double tap there was a end credit scene where Bill Murray was talking about a third Garfield live action movie is this a prediction or a joke

"Scottsdale?" Lol
You know the sad realization I had that if they did a 3rd movie now Scooby would have probably died from old age😭
That would have been to hard on the fans to do what they should do is have scooby have a female dog to be with have shaggy get a girlfriend same with velma being with seth greens character patrick. And fred and daphne be together have them all retire to start a family that be the best ending.
Why do I have a feeling that Mike Myers would've voiced the Loch Ness Monster had he not been busy with Shrek 3?
Velma: Aha! Just as I suspected, baiting this trap with 500 lbs of salmon and a bottle of gin was irresistible to the Loch Ness Monster.
Freddie: [ Looks at Nessie ] Look at you terrorizing this poor, innocent town. Are you happy with your life?
Loch Ness Monster: Of course I'm not happy! Look at me, I'm a big fat slob. I've got bigger titties than Velma there. I've got more chins than a Chinese phonebook. I've not seen my willie in two years, which is long enough to declare it legally dead. [on the verge of tears] I can't stop eating people. I eat because I'm unhappy, and I'm unhappy because I eat. It's a vicious cycle. Now, if you'll excuse me, there's someone I'd like to get in touch with and forgive. Myself. [Farts] Sorry. I farted. It's a long road ahead.

The original scoob wasnt too great but it was iconic. Monsters Unleashed did it ALL right tho.

Scooby doo and the ghoul school. I think that’s the name

I have a weird nostalgic love for these movies while I'm never sure whether or not they were just fever dreams
Monsters Unleashed had a perfect ending too, so I lived fine with the fact that we didn’t get another.
I wish I was in the movie! Just so I could walk up to Velma and tell her how I feel.
I love that the show has human villains, but when the animated movies came in the monsters were real. I loved that because it always felt like the shit got real. Like a step up. I like how they could handle with the real deal also.
An R rated movie would be interesting, making the monsters more realistic, scary and gorey would be cool. And some humor, too
Definitely gotta have shaggy and scooby getting stoned

Imagine if they would’ve done a scooby doo in cyberchase or zombie island live action movie , the hit it would be !
I see a pattern at WB. They either try a cowardly safe route or scrap the ideas completely
The cartoon network prequels and the Daphne & Velma movie just don't hold a candle to the theatrical versions.
Horror Paradise haha they badd
In my opinion Matthew Lillard is the best Shaggy. It kind of made me upset that he didn't get to voice Shaggy in the new scoob movie
When you realise Velma was in freaks and geeks and daddy’s home.
How is it im just seeing this video 4 years later?
My thoughts exactly!!
Hopefully This movie can still be made in the Future, ya never Know.
Glad to see I wasn’t the only one this was recommended to hehe
Me too 😂
The major issue I had with the original Scooby-Doo movie is that they made my favorite character into the villain.
Yes, Scrappy Doo is my favorite Scooby Doo character.
I wasn't a fan of that either. I liked Scrappy in the 80's and even now.
Yeah I saw his faults both then and now but I still like him even though
I think he's annoying at times.
Scrappy doo is probably the reason I hate small dogs so much
It really makes me wanna wish they would make the third movie even now in 2020 and with the same cast!
Scooby-Doo 2 was and still is amazing I wish we could've seen the 3rd one, the straight to video Live Action movies that also aired on Cartoon network were kind of weird, I remember being really mad Fred had black hair and no ascot it really triggered me.
Sure but it was Robbie Amell I think the trade off was worth it
I liked the two live Scooby-Doo movies. They stayed true to the source material. I feel like the first one was influenced from Scooby-Doo On Zombie Island and the second one went back to the original format. Which I actually liked. The casting for each gang member was spot on as well. I own the first one and will soon own the second one. Though, it would've been interesting to see the 3rd one.
There are four things I’m curious about and would like to know.
1: Did Scooby Doo 3 had a title? Like scooby doo 2 was called Monster Unleashed?
2: What did the monsters look like?
3: Who was the main antagonist?
4: what was the ending going to be?
I'm two years later but here's my idea of the answers
1 I think the tile would have been something like 'Scooby Doo 3 the island of fright" or 'Scooby Doo 3 mythical mystery'
2 Maybe the monsters would have been one's for Scottish folklore which would have made sense because with them being in Scotland
3 I think it would have been the mayor or leader of the village with a few people from the village has his helpers
4 In my mind the ending would be bitter sweet. But it would be a satisfying ending to the trilogy.
1:09 they took that movie off of Netflix and I thought it was really a good show
I loved the movie so much me and my friends dressed up as the characters for our Halloween dance
