    Bless all those in the struggle lord , trying to keep a roof over there heads and the family together. Much love to all. I like how Mr James Evans never gave up on his family and broke his back for em and how Mrs Evans would walk with the lord to keep her family together and off the streets and not do anything illegal to make money. • @DCFelix67
      @DCFelix67 2 года назад

      James was making something like $2.50 an hour so that was like a week's pay. Most people pay at least the equivalent of that now. I'll bet most people in the projects paid less than that if they were on welfare. And no one would be evicted for missing a month's rent.

      and bringing up the race of Jesus when it's his sacrifice that matters keeps you in sin. Stop allowing the world to make you see only skin color and worry about the devil dividing us with hatred and sin. I watched this show when I was little and felt like the Evans family were my family. I didn't have a dad at the time, and my own mom struggled to feed us. We weren't religious, and we weren't black but this show gave me hope in something I didn't have: family which is priceless and a religious structure which gave us all hope. I didn't realize it at the time, but Florida's faith on that show inspired me once I got saved. I hope you see past skin color and are reminded that we are all the same, and need the same things in life, especially Jesus regardless of what he looks like.
