I grew up in South Bend IN but I graduated from IU Bloomington. As a child my family always cheered for ND during football season and IU during basketball season. Obviously I will be cheering for IU during this game. GO IU!
joe, thank you for the recognition of service members. I am older navy. Not as old as you because I went to school with Amy but getting up there. I can hardly wait for this match up. I have a good friend whom I have teased because he has given thousands to both schools. He still lives up there and a prominent business man. This will be a great game for the state of Indiana. They both beat up on Purdue and the score was almost identical, so should be a great matchup. I look forward to both schools colliding with each of their strengths ND running and IU run defense. If I am not mistaken, I believe IU held both Michigan schools to under 100 yards rushing combined for the two complete games.
The problem with Notre Dame is they drop games like the Northern Illinois game at home, an earlier game, so the home field advantage looks like it’s not as tough. It’s the big night games this should be compared to, and they can go either way but the crowd will be good, excited, loud, and hopefully they win. Either way, props to Indiana and if they unfortunately win I’m more likely to cheer for them going forward than most teams in the playoff. As always, go Irish!!
It’s going to be very interesting to see what kind of fans show up at the game. A lot of Notre Dame fb fans are IU alum whom love the Hoosiers basketball but are out on the fb team. So their heart is truly Hoosier. Now, what do they do? I believe that you will see a lot fans flip at the game. Especially if the Hoosiers get a lead or win the game. It’s definitely a predicament that I’ll be watching for. With that said, the Hoosiers are a well rounded team that has seen defenses similar to Notre Dame. IU’s run defense will probably be the best Notre Dame has seen this year. The fact that USC gained a lot of yards on ND should be concerning for them. IU has a better offense than USC. On defense, they held OSU to their lowest yards gained total for the year. Point is that this Hoosier team should not be taken lightly. Prediction: IU 27-ND 24. Go Hoosiers!
The Big 10 and SEC called shots on how the 12 team playoff would be structured. They sold the game out and true competitiveness out over their money grabs! They liked the idea of weak brackets to strengthen their stronghold on championship. Both the Big 10 and SEC have proved they could care less about college football...its about the money
I'm making a prediction that there will be a few upsets in the first 2 rounds. Because of the time off these teams will have a let down. the final 4 might look very weird
Go Irish...Go Hoosiers BTW, IU's QB Kurtiss Rourke is from Canada! Hopefully, he can use it to his advantage in the South Bend weather! I've been a ND football fan since the 80s...and an IU basketball fan since the early 70s. It has been hard to be an IU football fan over the years! I would be happy if either go on to the next level!
Notre Dame will not have the same success in pass rush against IU...for one reason....not that they aren't as talented in doing so, but because IU will not be doing the silent count this time. Ohio State Teed off on them on every play with precise Pass Rush Timing.
Theismann for Heisman. ☘️🏈☘️
He changed the pronounciation from Theesman to Thiesman to rhym with Hiesman so he would win 🏆 the Heisman.
I still have the Theismann for Heisman badge.
I think he lost the heisman to Jim Plunkett that year
Joe is awesome to have on here. He is really sharp as a tack
he's fantastic!
Wow what a great & honest conversation between 3 intelligent guys
appreciate you tuning in!
Joe really knows football 🏈!
God , Country , Notre Dame !!!
Go Irish ☘️
Stoked to see these two play! Been forever.
Agreed! on the schedule again at the end of this decade 🤪
Great show. Go Irish ☘️
I like the first sentence better.
Good to see ya Joe. Miss seeing you play. GO IRISH.
I went to ND and Indiana, rooting for both teams to win.

Be sure to stick with IU when the fairy tale ends.
I too grew up in South Bend and graduated from I.U. Like you I'm pulling for Indiana.
Now that's what i'm talking about!
I remember Theismann when he was at ND. They used him as a punt returner in '68 until he took over at QB following a knee injury to Terry Hanratty.
He returned punts for the Redskins prior to taking over as starting QB for the Redskins.
ATHLETE!

Joe Theismann top five quarterback in the history of Notre Dame top five
Go Irish (and I went to IUSB).
Great video, thanks!

Imagine...INDIANA... will be in the game that up to this point will be the most viewed game all year....INDIANA....its incredible

I just keep coming back to ND gave up over 500 yds of offense to USC. Top 5 defense...we will see.
SO DO I! Indiana's passing attack vs ND's pass defense is a big piece of the winning equation!
without 56, All American DT, come back to that...
