They'll be OK; Rubio is a monster, Cross has more time to get 100%, Hinish has been very good, and they have some big young guys for depth (Mukam is an athletic 300+, Houstan is a good athlete around 300, Sevillano at 315+) getting a few snaps could be good too). Also the DEs developing and getting outside pressure is a huge recent development (Young, Junior, and Sneed off the edge)
The comments about Indiana not belonging by in the playoff is just a sideways way of taking a shot at ND. The mainstream hates Notre Dame which just solidifies why being an Irish ☘️ fan is the right way to be.

Thanks for the podcast Tyler. I like that ND will be underdogs vs GA. They can go out there and have fun. Should be a great game. Merry Christmas 🎁🎄 Tyler!!!
Really disappointed in SEC-homers and pundits. Their logic isn’t even consistent and they insist on whining about the format rather than winning the games they were supposed to. It’s all politicking for next year and I think they unfortunately made enough noise to make a difference. Appreciate people like Tyler and Joe Klatt who speak out against it. Klatt going top rope on Kiffin was amazing. Go Irish ☘️
You all forgetting about Cross? And Hinish? C'mon man. It will be Cross and Hinish with Gabe and Mukam getting in for rotation Mills is a loss but he wasn't in on every play chill out it's ok We will win this Game !! Riley Mills on the sidelines will get those guys pumped he's a captain!! He won't let them get down he will get them up that's why he's a captain
How many times have we said we can't afford another injury yet we get one and we keep moving forward The defense is creative they have depth they have athletes they will be fine
I feel like the comment on Notre Dame playing a weak schedule is misleading. Notre Dame has played now 5 top 25 ranked teams when they played and won all 5 games. Outside of GT no one from acc played more than 4. No one from Big 12 more than 4. Illiois, Michigan, purdue only teams from big 10 with more than 4. No one from MWC. Then we get to powerhouse SEC. Texas, Georgia, Tennesse, South Carolina, Florida, Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi only teams with more than 4. If we keep track. That only 12 that played equal to or more top 25 teams than Notre Dame. Not saying hard schedule for ND cause it wasnt hard with who those top 25 teams were. Just it gets massively underestimated as well.
It’s not like ND intentionally made the schedule easy. They’re were supposed to play Miami (I bet both teams wish that happened) and nobody thought FSU would be god awful.
The Ndianas and SMUs are there to be the early test for the Notre Dames and Penn States, not challenging for the title. Same with Boise and ASU. The byes messed that up.
I’m so sick of these ppl mad about the committe, this is why everyone been crying for 12 teams to give these other schools a chance, now that they got them they r bitching
I agree, ND did not play a very good game (offense) but I don’t think there was any worry they wouldn’t prevail. From now on, ND will have to play to the best of their abilities if they want to make it to the championship game.
It's crazy how well the defensive line has played all year despite injuries specifically to its key players. Next man up and time for Mr Rubio to shine again. I wonder if there's any word on Bryce Young. If it was just about what teams you think are the best on any given day then there's no point in even doing rankings. At a certain point you have to reward results. If Lane kiffin didn't like his team not being in the playoffs, he shouldn't have lost 3 times including to a couple of bad teams. Same goes for Alabama. You don't get rewarded because of your hypothetical performance in a hypothetical game that won't happen. SEC boners complaining about teams not deserving of a big stage is hilarious when they schedule FCS opponents routinely throughout the year and give them a big stage just to buffer a schedule.
Good to hear, I was a little miffed when I didn't really hear anything about him in Freeman's press conference announcing the mills news. I guess sometimes no news is good news
I'd venture you either haven't watched too much of Georgia WITH Beck, or, you HAVE watched too much of Georgia because you're a Georgia fan. We're playing Georgia on New Years _because_ Beck went down. Smart is smart enough to have pulled him eventually, but it might have been too late by then. Pretty sure if Beck had finished that game we would be looking at Texas, which is probably an easier game than a Georgia with only a misfiring QB in the serious injury pile. I'd take that loss versus the defensive Mash unit we have compiled in SB. 😉
@@jaedge729 My commenrt was directed at the original thread starter, @user... Yeah those two responses were apparently posted about the same time, and your response was not visible to me when I posted- a careful reading of my post would have made it obviously not about what you were saying as _I_ was saying Beck going down was a blessing to Georgia. Love the show bud. You talking in a lot softer tones because you're in your girlfriend's childhood room out of respect for your possible future in-laws is 🐐-d, and hilarious. Although not quite as hilarious as Joel klatt clappin Lane kiffin's cheeks hard when he kept whining about the playoff participants. Ole Miss would have gotten dog walked in the first round in the place of either Indiana or SMU.
Hey the defense played really good windmills was a non-factor earlier in the year We've been playing without Howard cross so now we get cross back we lose Mills I think we'll be okay we're not going to be as good as we would have been and I think we could have dominated their offense of line But maybe this will be better because we won't get after the quarterback as much so he won't be doing as much scrambling and breaking loose
? Why are you whispering lmfao😅 2nd Why did Onye leave the program?? We could really use him But seriously When will the injuries stop ? 🤬!!! CROSS IS GONNA HAVE TO HAVE ONE HELL OF A GAME VS GEORGIA!!! Go Irish ☘️
Indiana belonged more than any of the 2 or 3 loss SEC teams. They played good football games all year and won by alot of points too. I would rather watch them than an Alabama team with 3 losses get in just because they play in the SEC. The nation is tired of watching the SEC in the championship every year. That's why watching Michigan play Washington last year was GREAT! The game wasn't good, but at least it wasn't two SEC teams playing each other AGAIN!
When college football team exceeds $20 million in NIL money then lose 3 games in season it will be hard for donors to accept that season why certain ACC and SEC teams are grumpier
The Notre Dame Fan-Whisperer... As others have been far more amusing I will leave it there, but you ARE absolutely right about this sucking serious MooseC. for Mills who, like Cross and Watts, came back for this year to help get into the playoffs, that he went down in on the way to helping us win the 1st round of. 2 pts: Kiffin is a Tool, and always has been. Him being a Tool now, should not be a surprise. He is a great offensive mind as well as a complete and utter Tool, but who can forget all the times he has used the fake injured player while he stares into the cameras covering him, and god knows how many other cheap loopholes. Only a clueless self-promoting clown as incapable of reading a room as Cignetti could get close to Kiffin's inverse savoir-faire. Your point that there probably aren't even 12 teams capable of winning the playoffs, is probably a pretty accurate comment and an insight I think many will find an epiphany. It kind of was to me, and as I think about it, most years it probably is likely to ring just as true. While the idea that we can tell a three loss team is better than a one loss team only on SOS, is laughable: what is a 'good close loss' and what is a bad 'big win', or what possible difference does it make that an opponnent is or was ranked (by a bunch of voters who often farm out their votes!?)? Your point about Texas and ND having softball schedules, and the SEC whiners shutting up when the Vols got disrobed, absolutely points to the fact there is no perfect way to deciding who should get a shot or who should decide that they do. Tenessee's loss points to the possible denoument that all of those two to three loss SEC teams could win or lose on a given day. Like a lot of teams. Sothere isn't anything special about any team with big wins over punchless G5 teams and FCS 'powerhouse' Chattanooga. Nor does a loss to G5 NIU seem to show clearly a team doesn't belong. On Dec 31, New Year's Eve, 3-loss Alabama, who LOST to the Vols, will play 5 loss Michigan, who BEAT Ohio State (who we all watched dismember a hapless Heupel and the Vols in the PLAYOFFS). No matter who wins that game, it is going to show that who beats who on any given day may not mean too much. If Alabama wins, how did Michigan beat OSU who pummeled Ten. Cent? If Michigan beats Alabama, ... ---... Oh wait. Alabama didn't beat anybody who ended up mattering-those teams including oh, yeah, Ole MIss. 😆 Have a great Christmas and new Years Tyler!!
