They drift apart with heavy sobbing eyes knowing all those cherished moments might probably not come again; all those laughs and chortles and warm hugs might not ease their pains anymore. Everything is gonna be changed and past is gonna haunt yet save and make happy at times when there's nothing but beautiful memories to hold on to. At other, it tells us not to get closer to people or else we'll end up hurting and tearing ourselves apart. It beautifully points out a reason and draws an analogy of darkness singing to us as to why there are different seasons of our heart. There is a reason for that too. Reasons why we humans have this ability to feel innumerable emotions and that too all at once. We are meant to go through what we do, and feel what we are fated for. Further, it beautifully depicts a very romantic scene to us. A scene in which someone is seeing someone in a hotel who is too beautiful and pretty to be together with. A moment where one feels it almost almost unbelievable as to how one is lucky enough to witness that majestic beauty unveiling in front of oneself. A moment in which song asks us not to even blink for it may end; not to even think or it may fade. A small, short moment to just capture and save that glimpse till death. And sadly, where one realizes and questions, is it too beautiful because it's not meant to last? In the end, it hits us with a beautiful note of us being same in whatever place, religion or state we think we are. In light or in dark, we are but in a constant stream of time floating us to an unknown, imaginary valley. A valley beyond a thick, foggy forest where our hearts beat as one. A land where there is a season of light and love; a place where a slow passing breeze caresses our face and softly whispers to us: "See, you made it". Midnight, you're a true wonder. Thank you!

I recall the video arcades with classic game cabinets and the mass crowds in shopping malls. You never know you're living in a golden age until its gone.
Another masterpiece... to transport us back into a time when things were far more chill than they are now. Sincerely, I thank you for this.... to invoke such feelings through your great musical performance!! Keep them coming... please & thank you!! ❤
I am obsessed with this band! Their music is soooo incredibly nostalgic; I can't explain it. Every time I listen to one of their songs, it's like a time machine taking me back to my simpler days in the early 90's. Love it! 💕
RIP Max aka Puppers ❤ I was watching one of your older live streams a couple of weeks ago, in which you were sharing a photo of the most beautiful sunset taken in Cayman Islands, and you were playing this song (Monsters album) as background music for it. It occurred to me at that exact moment that, in real time also, the sun was also setting on your time on this planet, having been shared the tragic news that you had only days left to live. Every time I hear this song now, it reminds me of you and your beautiful sunset 🌅 And it makes me tear up. You will be missed terribly by myself and your other fans. ALS is a horrible disease, we really need to find a cure for it 😭🙏 Stay comfy Max 💖💖💖
I want to say that I love this band beyond infinite, I woke from a nap, brought a joint to my rooftop, the sun it's setting down and I'm crying by how sad and beautiful life is, thank you, you are the best.
Tim's super amazing arrangement and mixing with Tylet's heavenly built lyrics and voice just makes me fall into a time travel back to 80s. It's a time that I wasn't born but I don't know why it's like it always in my memory. It's so beautiful.
I am thoroughly convinced these guys are incapable of producing sub standard music. Memories, Brooklyn and this one are among their most calming songs I can think off of the top of my head. I’ve been listening to this on loop the entire day (even at work) and thankfully didn’t miss the last train 😅
Beautiful song…I can’t wait to share it with that special woman. ❤ Seriously though, there are so many virtuous musical qualities to this great song that it’s hard to pinpoint what it is that I like so much about it; a real gem. 💎
When days are tough and I'm feeling down...all I have is my day dreams...and listening to music from the midnight takes me miles and miles away from my issues. I day dream about falling in love, being a bad girl lol, or driving towards a beach... love you guys so much❤💋🥰
You are not alone there Liliana. Their music take us somewhere else, where no pain or frustration can get to us, only bliss and joy. That's the power of their music.
Finally! This is the vibe I was after! It's lyrically dense enough to put you in a thought provoking trance. Definitely one of my favourites from the album. The vibe reminds me of Sunset, which is probably why I love it so much!
this song is one of my top favorites from this album. words can't explain the amount of nostalgia I'm getting from memories I've never had. The midnight really knows how to build a movie or like a story in your head while listening. Truly remarkable :)

I was born in 85 but my older brothers kept my music love in the 80s and after one of them committed suicide when I was 18 (he was 28), I always think I can hear his echo in music like from The Midnight (he played guitar and is the reason I love music so much)
I love The midnight very much, yes, i met them from the movie "Terrifier 2" the intro, it was so beautiful to hear the melody of The equaliser, it was art to my ears, i was completely captivated. Im glad I got more into this. 💘
I heard this song not too long ago and it made me think... "Man! I can't wait till tonight to just get into my car and drive, while having this track play". Absolutely love this song.
I love this. It captures life as a beautiful meander of choices and adventures that gives meaning to us as people and how we write our stories on a blank canvas.. A great song is the difference between being catchy and having an emotional connection and I honestly can't tell a time when The Midnight didn't match that definition.
There is a reason for every season of the heart There is a song singin’ in the dark Don’t think. Don’t blink. I get so close that it tears me apart ❤❤❤
I found a video from someone else with this music, I had to search but god, am I happy I did. You guys are amazing, the kind of music I can listen in a never ending loop, thanks for your beautiful work!

This is undoubtedly the best song of this album. It feels as if it is telling us a story of different people all at once.
At one instant, it talks about friends, or comrades, departing with heavy hearts where they know they have sad life ahead with different stories to look forward to. They drift apart with heavy sobbing eyes knowing all those cherished moments might probably not come again; all those laughs and chortles and warm hugs might not ease their pains anymore.

Another masterpiece... to transport us back into a time when things were far more chill than they are now. Sincerely, I thank you for this.... to invoke such feelings through your great musical performance!! Keep them coming... please & thank you!! ❤
Brooklyn and last train deserve medal for best song of the decade...
This song, this band makes me want to hope and dream again. They bring a breathe of childish wonder after I've been bitter for so long
❤️👍🏻
I am obsessed with this band! Their music is soooo incredibly nostalgic; I can't explain it. Every time I listen to one of their songs, it's like a time machine taking me back to my simpler days in the early 90's. Love it! 💕
The vibe .. the feels .. the memories ..
This song is like a train time machine passing beside a beautiful sunset 🌅 !
the midnight is incredible
This is an understatement. Legendary group
@@jay____l So true
"Are we all one beating heart?"
"We are one beating heart"
Every time I hear this song, tears falls down... I don't why it reminds me of when me and my father took a drive on the road.... Just the two of us...
"Half in light and half in dark Is where we are 🪐
We are one beating heart🫀!
- i love seeing you smile🪄
RIP Max aka Puppers ❤ I was watching one of your older live streams a couple of weeks ago, in which you were sharing a photo of the most beautiful sunset taken in Cayman Islands, and you were playing this song (Monsters album) as background music for it. It occurred to me at that exact moment that, in real time also, the sun was also setting on your time on this planet, having been shared the tragic news that you had only days left to live.
Every time I hear this song now, it reminds me of you and your beautiful sunset 🌅 And it makes me tear up.
You will be missed terribly by myself and your other fans. ALS is a horrible disease, we really need to find a cure for it 😭🙏
Stay comfy Max 💖💖💖
I want to say that I love this band beyond infinite, I woke from a nap, brought a joint to my rooftop, the sun it's setting down and I'm crying by how sad and beautiful life is, thank you, you are the best.
I'm glad I found out about The Midnight. It has been an absolute pleasure and blessing.
Thank God I discovered this band few months ago while listening to random songs on RUclips. Love from India 🇮🇳
I hope you don't regret!
Every song I have heard off the new album is so chill. It's so damn hot, The Midnight was a good choice.
This is pure retro movie soundtrack ish right here
Tim's super amazing arrangement and mixing with Tylet's heavenly built lyrics and voice just makes me fall into a time travel back to 80s. It's a time that I wasn't born but I don't know why it's like it always in my memory. It's so beautiful.
I listened to this over, and over, and over again. The beat is something you could fit in the 80's like a glove.
Seriously though, there are so many virtuous musical qualities to this great song that it’s hard to pinpoint what it is that I like so much about it; a real gem. 💎
I was listening to this for the first time, and it started raining outside, never forgetting that.
Everytime I listen to your music. You're taking me to another side of the world. The feels❤️
1 cannot simply listen to this and not go toniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiight every time
Riiight???
Life just isn't life without a good tune
Finished the album and what a song to end it on. Absolutely incredible. I can't wait for my CD to come.
Music like this is why I love The Midnight.
One of my favs from the album
This just knocked it out of the park for me, what a great album from start to finish.
Whenever i hear those synths I go crazy . I so love the 80s.
[Verse 1]
The top shelf tumbles and the wall clocks run
Well scotch bottles and the soda guns
You missed the last train from the city tonight
Old friends see each other in a different, different light
You missed the last train tonight
[Verse 2]
The Alphabet City's dive bars drone
And two pilgrims seek a makeshift home
Missed the last train from the city tonight
Old friends see each other in a different, different light
You missed the last train tonight
[Chorus]
There is a song singin' in the dark
Don't get too close or it'll tear you apart
There is a reason for every season of the heart
There is a song singin' in the fire
Don't get too close, it cuts like a wire
There is a reason for every season of desire
[Verse 3]
The subway rumbles under Union Square
And the morning finds an unlikely pair
Hotel lobby, holding hands
Don't blink, don't think, don't look in her eyes
Is this forever or is this goodbye?
Goodbye
[Chorus]
There is a song singin' in the dark
Don't get too close or it'll tear you apart
There is a reason for every season of the heart
There is a song singin' in the fire
Don't get too close, it cuts like a wire
There is a reason for every season of desire
[Bridge]
Half in light and half in dark
Is where we start
Half in light and half in dark
Is where we are
Half in light and half in dark
Is where we start
Half in light and half in dark
Is where we are
[Outro]
We are one beating heart
We are one beating heart
We are one beating heart
Thank U☆
All Midnight songs takes you to the beautiful memories of past ……..it comes from your 💝💝💝💝💝
I can hear Sunset! You guys are amazing
So mellow. I love it!
I was born in 85 but my older brothers kept my music love in the 80s and after one of them committed suicide when I was 18 (he was 28), I always think I can hear his echo in music like from The Midnight (he played guitar and is the reason I love music so much)
Fresh music!
This one is really growing on me! love it.
I love The midnight very much, yes, i met them from the movie "Terrifier 2" the intro, it was so beautiful to hear the melody of The equaliser, it was art to my ears, i was completely captivated.
Im glad I got more into this. 💘
This song is soo amazing!! Will never get old😍
everything is perfect..the lyrics, the melody...awesome...bought the album from their website..worth every penny..
From the very first second of this song I got goosebumps all over my body. For me that is the best song in this album.

Dancing alone, eyes close at midnight.🎧🎶🎵
Best way to feel the vibe... (:
Man there are a lot of core specific memories in the picture on the video
Beautiful song!!!!!
The Midnight puts your heart and mind in sync with all the hope life has to offer.
The Midnight's music and aesthetic give me intense nostalgia.
My heart never left this room.
Definitely getting Jackson Browne vibe from this song, it's beautiful.
There is a reason for every season of the heart
There is a song singin’ in the dark
Don’t think. Don’t blink.
I get so close that it tears me apart ❤❤❤
This song actually moved me to tears, it's that good. One of my favorites on the album.
this brings me comfort
2 am , in my bed alone , scared of what winter will bring this year. I need to get outta here
Fantastic.
I love this song 🎶❤️🎸🎵♥️🎸🎶
Thank You!❤🙏❤
Old friends see each other in a different different lightttttttttt.
I remembered back in the 80's when life was so cool and music was at its best, thanks for bringing back the memories ❤
My favourite by far it’s got dreamy Fleetwood Mac Vibes ✨ 💯
Stumbled upon this music. Never looked back. Fan for life. ❤🎶🎶
I found a video from someone else with this music, I had to search but god, am I happy I did. You guys are amazing, the kind of music I can listen in a never ending loop, thanks for your beautiful work!

The back cover art for this album hurts, man. Especially after listening to this song.
