- WOW! This was one of my best days running this year! A beautiful 20mile ridgeline, out and back from the North to the South of the Malvern Hills.
I cannot recommend this area enough for a hike or run, truly wonderful terrain.

What a spectacular sunrise and views. I’ve run the Malvern Midsummer Marathon several times which is a circular route taking on the whole ridge line in one direction only. I’ve never done an out and back though. As you say, what perfect training for a mountainous ultra.

Nice video Francois. Stunning views from the frosty ridge. Not many views like that in Essex. Great idea to use the route as a training run. Love to see your dog out with you, I hope he/she got his/her hydration and fuel on board as well. Take care.
Thanks! Yeah he loves coming with me on all my runs. I always take stuff for him but he rarely wants it. He could go a lot further than me!
