Yessir... I just put a 3” lift on my 95 xj and those lower control arms were a beast to bolt in.... well just the passenger side.... it’s got 350k miles on the original motor sooooo I’m not sure how much I’m going to throw at it yet.....
**it sure can take a WHILE to find the right Jeep to buy and build! I got lucky finding my last ZJ, a really clean 5.9 limited, but next one is going to be another 4.0 straight 6 cylinder, with the factory tow package for the 3.73 gearing AND the limited slip rear end! Oh, and has got to have the selectrac transfer case, absolutely NO 249 full time 4wheel BS again!!
I bought my cherokee 2001 with lift and the 20" rims came on it 35" tires micky thomson deagon 38s 1 1/4 wheel spacers. I am not sure what my lift is I think its close to 6" with wheel well cut. Getting ready to get new tires but realy thinking of going with a 17" or 18" rim can't do 15" because of iron rock otk steering setup. My off roading is mainly mud not many rocks here a few trees and logs. Which rim size would work best for mud I like the light wheel of the 20" but thinking may be better to have more sidewall flex ? Also tires for 17" or 18" are a little cheaper looking to go with the treadwrights mud tires.
I just moved to Puerto Rico from Virginia and I got this keep it used to be 4x4 is there a website that you recommend to buy parts that I can’t find on Amazon ?
@@603jeeper7 this build is 50 50 I built tons off road rigs this was for people that can wheel on the weekends and go to work the next day in a good riding daily I explain in the build if you follow this build long enough and don’t get pissed off like everyone else you will see bead locks coming and axle swaps but people are selfish and want what they want and if it don’t go their way the bash it! But I build stuff for everyone and I respect everyone’s build so I like the 20 yes are they staying no
I like the look of the 33s. Classic.

I feel like I have built my Jeep as cheaply as I could and I have spent about $6k in upgrades. But, there aren't too many stock parts left. lol
Yeah nothing wrong with that might won’t be very stock for long I’m going to will it this summer than over the winter start building it the why I want

Use jeep yj front brake hoses . Longer and stronger than stainless
20" rim's? Is this for the soccer ⚽️ mom
It actually goes great off road with these rims they are super light
@@cherokeeronnie it's not that. Large rim's with little side wall is not the combination for good offroad ride and can vary easily damaged your rim's

I do it because we got into a lot of tight places with brush I rather have rhino line than a scratch up paint job
@@cherokeeronnie ok makes sence
Are the different length springs on 97-01 models? My 92 springs are the same length.
What brand rim was the original set?
What part of WV are you located in?
Near Morgantown
@@cherokeeronnie sure is great living in one of the more Free states!

Check in later this morning - got questions on rocker panel fab - where to find the stock metal 2000 XJ
Cut out and replace with 2x6 tubing
If the tires had some tread they might not fit.lol.
