Thank you for a Great Video. You answered all of my questions regarding a Z Fold 3 for 2023. I picked up a refurbished one from Ebay at a great price with 512 gigs and unlocked, with the unit in near perfect condition ( no scratches, screen protectors in new condtion and it works just great. It updated to 13 ui5.1. the price was so good , so i also purchased the stylists Pro also at a great price, and a very nice rugged orange case which holds the regular Samsung stylists in the hinge protector which i also puchased. i use my S22 ultra as my daly driver and my z fold as my backup and home tablet after putting a small phone plan on the phone. THANK YOU AGAING FOR A GREAT VIDEO.

My Fold 3 is 18 months old.
It's still faultless. Granted, I'm careful with it and it's cased up to the max.
No scrapes, scratches, no dead pixels, been using the inner screen without a screen protector since the protector started to peel about 6 months ago.
Outer screen narrowness makes is genuinely use able with one hand.
Hopefully it stays that way. Glad you've had a great time with it. When do you think you'll upgrade?

Absolutely it's Worth it. I bought the fold 3 on Ebay refurbished for $564.00 plus tax with free shipping. The phone looks Awesome 👍 looks brand new and an excellent condition. I also bought a case and a S-pen. I have no complaints 😊

Given that most people really wouldn't notice the difference from the top of one gen to the top of the newest gen....going one generation back makes a lot of sense....Until batteries are vastly improved, latest gen vs the one behind it aren't really much different. Great video mate!

I would side with getting a Tab S8 it also takes Dex mode to the next level to not needing a display, the whole tablet becomes a desktop like UI, but then ig you can can wait for the Fold 4 to be cheaper since it's a much more mature version of the Fold 3

I agree. Ah, also, you can fix that instagram issue in the settings and set it to full screen. In that respect I think Samsung does the best with full screen views with the inside screen.
Is that to do with forcing it to go full screen in developer options or something else?
Samsung definitely have the best software for foldables right now. They'll likely be ahead for a while.

Buy a cheap basic stylus it can be used on the outside screen it'll help combat the issue with narrowness of the outside screen less typing issues.
I didn't think the outside screen supported a stylus? Interesting idea though. Thanks.
@@GroundedTech it's a touchscreen like a regular phone. The inside is the most delicate.

@Young Suk everyone don't swipe some actually still type. I know I do that's what made me try a basic stylus.

Easy fix just go to setting and apps full screen apps and set the aspect ratio there to fill screen problem solved
Does it scale correctly? I don't have the phone anymore but hopefully get a Fold 4 again soon.
Are the gaming ui problems fixed on the fold 4? Or is it simply just a format problem with the fold series in general?
Basically that. It depends on the game though. Mobile Legends was great to play. Some games just simply aren't optimised properly per device so you sometimes get these inconsistencies.
It'll keep improving though especially as we now have more foldables hitting the market.

Just bought a (mint) Fold 3 today
Build quality is awesome
Love it, just need to explore what more but as you mentioned, build as a tank.
It's not the perfect phone, but I can live with it, needs some adaption but definitely a real nice one
Finally, you get a screen of almost 2 phones !
I prefer it horizontal, speakers sound better and the crease seems for me less noticeable ...
Nice one. Glad you are enjoying it. I've been using the Fold 4 for the last month and a half and it's definitely fixed everything I didn't like with the 3. See how you feel after using it for a month or so.

Ah yeah that's always a problem. 13 and the latest OneUI is very useful.
Zfold3 sucks. I have it for 1 year 5 months and inner screen is not working anymore without physical damage. Will be buying iphone next time.
An iPhone won't have a foldable screen though so I think it's unfair to compare.
If you went for something like an S23+ or the S23 Ultra I think you'd be much happier and wouldn't have to worry about the hinge or screen failures.
I see the argument of needing a different phone to use daily but at that point you might as well just get a tablet instead of a fold as your second android device. I think the people who can buy a used fold 3 and make it work as their daily got a steal. For me that narrow screen is the biggest drawback I probably wouldn't care much if it was just removed completely😂 .
Yep. I mention that in the video towards the end. Agree if people can make it work then it's a crazy deal. Got Fold 4's going for £700 now too. Mad. It's actually nice to use as well.

I purchased a case for my tablet and it is pretty and very handy with slots for cards I need and slots to hold my tablet up it is amazing

I'd go S23. Performance and battery will be better and the cameras too.

Yeah it'll be super expensive. Could always get a Fold 4 for a decent price.
I hear a alot of men say the phone is to narrow and i just think that you have big hands for the phone because women loves the phone are hands are smaller thats all..
That's a good perspective. I use an Xperia as my main phone which is also quite narrow. Don't think it's necessarily bad but the Fold 3 being a touch wider would have been nice. The Fold 5 is though I think.

Do not buy this phone. It is horrible. 1 1/2 years in, mine just stopped working. The inside fold is splitting and tearing apart....horrible phone. I'm so ashamed of Samsung!!! Definitely won't be trying the 4.
Screen durability is a big issue. Sorry yours has failed.

My zfold3 inner screen gave up after 1 year 5 months. !#$÷ you Samsumg.
@Richard Marquez about the same time frame as mine. Then a couple of months ago, it got real hot and just stopped working. They guarantee the phone, right? So they sent me a refurbished one but when they received my old one, they charged me $300 because of the condition of the old one. (Well, I guess that was Verizon, not Samsung.) Going back k to the Galaxy Note and a different carrier when my contract is up.
The Note 23 Ultra is a much safer bet. But also worth trying something else if you have the opportunity.

The phone is heavier. The narrowness is to make it easier to hold and use one handed.
There's narrow and then there's NARROW. I was fine with the Fold 4.

The outer display seems to small at first but you get used to it, that being said I do wish it was the size of a note phone. The cameras are great I have no clue what this dude is talking about. The fold 4 is not very different from the fold 3, if you want to wait then get the fold 5
The cameras aren't great. The Fold 4 is better in all the ways that matter, including the cameras. But I've explained all that and won't repeat myself.
