The appointments of David Nucifora and Joe Schmidt are some of the best decisions RA have made in a long time. They are exactly what the national (and club) teams need and are finally appointments which reflect a true reflection of where the player pool skillets are at and what coaching talent the players need to get the Wallibies back to their best, long term. Not a "smash and grab" BS fallacy served up at each presser we were treated with previously.
Tbh I’m expecting us to lose 60% of games under Joe in his two year tenure. However I am still very happy with having him. He will be a massive part of the wallabies future success. He is just here to be a positive but realistic head for RA who happens to be coaching the wallabies but also as he has semi stated and it’s been hinted he is just gonna guide an assistant to become the head coach in 3-4 years.
Australia has the talent and the resources to be winning more than half of their games. We've got more registered players in the sport than Scotland, Ireland, Fiji, Wales, Italy, Argentina and New Zealand , but have lost to all those countries the last time we've played them. Poor coaching is probably the largest Issue with many aussies heading to europe and becoming better players within a year or two under europes superior player development programs. Next is the terrible marketing/ media ...does anyone actually enjoy listening to Maloney, Harrison, Kearns? NRL is miles ahead in the entertainment/ fan engagement aspect. Lastly it's a money game. In 2013 the NRL had a larger salary cap than Super rugby has in 2024...and the dollar value was pretty strong back then too. Wages are stagnant, European clubs pay far more and the more you pay these guys the more willing they are to break their bodies in service of the team.
lets go Aussies we kiwis need you guys to make southern hemisphere strong again you have the talent and skills and the players coming through are looking great for the world cup too good luck guys
As a Kiwi I'm excited for Aussie Rugby only because of Joe, what he did with Ireland to win 3 Six Nations and that first win over the All Blacks in Ireland rugby history. Joe is the best thing to turn around Aussie Rugby
The 2023 all blacks , or a few of them have credited Joe of getting us the the World Cup final … he’s an every astute coach and will serve the wallabies well … a kiwis point of view
JS will do his job but the bigger change is with the Board of ARU, they need a clear direction of where they see RU in the future. Pressure is on them the CEO and the Chairman how do you get the crowd back , what to do with Super Rugby it has largely failed with no SA games, there is enough players in Aus to make a National competition and maybe create a top 6 teams in each country for a Tasman competition hosted in say BNE. Include Drua in the Pacific wide based competition. Then Test rugby more games please. All the best.
He made Ireland into what we are now. Farrell was his assistant so he can take some credit for his development also. He helps to develop the whole structure, from top to bottom. Exactly what Australia need.
@@KewKew-do3kq When did they get humiliated? Two teams in the finals this year. Aus will have one less team next year which will raise the level. They already have a local comp.

The Fact that he is humble and we all know it is not going to fix itself overnight is the thing for us right now.
Such a strong leader. Makes me proud of Aussie rugby.
lets hope schmidt is treated better than the other kiwi coaches in the past that were dropped after knee jerk reactions from RA

He has no baggage just gets on with the job as a Rugby fan from Ireland Australia are lucky to have him
Winning the series against Wales will be the confidence boost the Wallabies needs to keep on winning 😊
He is the leading light for oz rugby in a long time. Bledisloe bring it on.
These are the understated comments of someone who knows what he's talking about. The results won't be immediate but they will be eventual.

5:30 (talking about Tim Ryan). Absolute nonsense by Schmidt, Tim Ryan has proven himself to carry well into contact even if he is on the leaner side.
