    Hello Jenn, thanks so much for all your videos. If I don't have any signs of lymphoedema should I use compression sleeve during the exercise or not?

    Thanks for this information, Jen. It has given me confidence to know I can start exercising safely. Do you have a paper version of the exercises I can download and print?

    Thank you for all of your dedication to helping others! I have one question. In your experience, have individuals been able to start exercising while undergoing radiation?

    • @TheBreastCancerPhysio
      @TheBreastCancerPhysio  Год назад

      Thank you for your lovely feedback! Yes, patients should be able to exercise during radiation prior to skin becoming sensitive and / or radiation burns presenting. It is not advisable to do exercise whilst burns are healing as it may put too much pressure on healing skin. I hope this makes sense.

    Hi Jen! Glad to know about these exercises. Still have cording issues, but I think I can do all the exercises except the shoulder press. I should be ok doing the exercises (except shoulder press)? It’s ok to use dumbbells instead of the band? Missing doing my exercises. Thanks again for the videos. You have definitely helped with my recovery!

      Hey Mel! How long since you had your breast surgery? You will be fine to start using dumb bells Mel but just make sure you start with 2-3kg and then progress the weight ONLY after you've performed a few sessions at a particular weight, AND your arm has shown no signs of Lymphoedema, then increase the weight by 1-2kg as a maximum. Are you doing the advanced cording stretch and massaging your cord? Jen x

    Very helpful. I’m 4 weeks out of surgery and eager to start exercises so this was great to watch. I would love some more advice around scar massage and tenderness on chest wall and scar line. I still feel very bruised and have to keep pressure extremely light still. Is this normal?

      Hey Emma! Thanks for your comment. Glad you found this video helpful! It is definitely normal to still feel tender / bruised along the scar at 4 weeks after your surgery. Watch my other video How To Reduce Scar Pain After Breast Cancer for more info! Jen x

      I had a double mastectomy 3yrs ago. My chest is stiff. I’m scared to excise to much. My scars are different in each breast. My reconstruction, They had to use a muscle from my back on left side and skin on right is thinner. My sprite is low but I need to lose my stomach! Help
