The actor who played General Fujita is Billy Chow. He was the 3 times kickboxing champion of the world in the 80s.

Chow is the former WKA world kickboxing champion.

That’s General wasn’t holding up a dojo’s signboard. It says ‘Sick Men of the East’. The Chinese were weak back then and colonised by 8 countries and Japan were one of the. The original movie character was Bruce Lee, Jet Li made this one and Donnie Yen acted in a letter version. That’s why there lots of JKD moved like hopping and having a south paw stance. 😊

Fist of Legend - a true classic
Now, if they can choreograph fight scenes in movies today like this...I would go to the theaters and watch.
Final Fight from Fist of Legend. My first introduction to Jet Li before he started making movies in Hollywood. It’s still my favorite, each fight in the movie gets progressively better and it starts off with great choreographed fights. Yuen Woo Ping was the fight/action choreographer and this movie inspired the action style for The Matrix, then Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and the Kill Bill movies as well. Woo Ping also choreographed the original Drunken Master as well as Snake In The Eagle’s Shadow two Jackie Chan classics. He also choreographed The Grand Master which is a stylized version of The Ip Man story and he also choreographed Once Upon A Time In Shanghai, with Philip Ng. This movie, Fist of Legend, is a sort of remake of Bruce Lee’s Fist of Fury aka The Chinese Connection. Ip Man was Bruce Lee’s Wing Chun instructor which was the spine of Jeet Kune Do. Philip Ng is really good, and when I saw it, I thought that he had a Bruce Lee quality about him and then he went on to be cast as Bruce Lee in the movie Birth Of The Dragon (which I haven’t seen yet), and the movie Once Upon A Time In Shanghai had elements of The Big Boss aka Fist of Fury, another Bruce Lee movie. Every movie on the list I mentioned is worth checking out. The only one I haven’t seen myself is Birth Of The Dragon. My favorite Asian action stars are Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Michelle Yeoh, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Donnie Yen, Zhang Zhiyi, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, oh and if you get a chance to check out any old school Shaw Brothers Classics, Gordon Liu (36 Chambers Of Shaolin), and The Five Venoms the first movie from Chang Chen and The Venom Squad. Chen Jen story is start from His master Huo Yuan Jia pass away, he found his master is poisonings by Japanese. Jet Li also act the Huo Yuan Jia story before. So u will understand who are they in history( the 1st person act Chen Jen is Bruce Lee)

irony, jet li plays bruce lees character chen zhen here and in fok yuen gup (fearless) he plays as the dead master p.s this is a terrible english dub with re-edited sfx, the headbutt from the japanese is suppose to create a dislocating sound when it hits the guys fist. ALSO this shitty english version isn't just worse then the hk SVCD version that redubs overly exaggerated sfx into the original VHS it also adds new bullshit. When jet li get hit to the ground there is NO one speaking to him giving him advice in the original
also this fight has no context, when the japanese guy was going for a backbreaker move, it was actually done on another guy hence the intense scene
