    The one is one of my favorite movies of jet Lee, and how got into metal as a 6 year old 🤣🤣🤣🤣. The ending fight scene on the pryamid was badass. I have seen so many movies because my mom bought all the movies of her favorite actors.
    The blonde jet Lee was a kpop star lol

    This movie is way underrated. It was a fun action flick at the tail end of the hyped kung fu movie era with a neat sci fi premise, sort of making the genre timeless. I appreciated all the clips and the synopsis, but that review style is best for older movies, because it's spoilertastic. The NewBee, I hate to admit it, being a fan of older movies, but if you cover some newer, hotter material, you might get the views you deserve.

    • @theNewBee
      @theNewBee  6 лет назад +5

      Honestly, the newer movies I review don't usually get a lot of views. I guess because YT is already saturated with other reviews by the time I get mine out. But I do want to do more recent stuff. Stay Tuned!

    • @emilyapricot1313
      @emilyapricot1313 6 лет назад +2

      theNewBee I am sorry to hear you are unsatisfied with your views. Some of my favorite content online is reviews of familiar favorite classic and mobile games and reviews of favorite older and newer films. It feels sort of like seeing and discussing a favorite topic with a friend, and I highly value the ones with thoughtful commentary and a lot of clips - like yours ! But the game reviews I watch tend to receive 10x as many views, and I always felt this is unfair since some of the same editorial quality often goes into the less popular film reviews, and I appreciate both just as much. Thus, I always figured the main difference is the content covered. Also, unfortunately, marketing plays a key role. The top review channels, movie or game, tend to feature regular releases and have a lot of loyal subscribers that watch every video. Anyway, I am glad you appreciated my comment ! I always like to shout out for great videos and creators that deserve a bit more praise. Thumbs up for you !!

    • @theNewBee
      @theNewBee  6 лет назад +2

      I'm not at all unsatisfied, I appreciate each and every one of my views and viewers. Of course I would loooove more views, but I'm also realistic and patient. You never know where lightning will hit. But when it does, there's usually excitement and a lot of screaming.
      Anyway, thank you so much for the shout out!

      theNewBee If it makes you feel any better, I've been casually watching your channel for years. I am also gonna go back and watch your review of Doom, Blair Witch, and ID4. Also, you're not overthinking it !! Script writers are paid to think. Don't let them get away with cinema sins !!!!!

    One thing that made no sense was how they couldn't stop him the second time. I understand they can't stop him after the 100th time, because he's literally God now, but I am wondering how they didn't imprison him the second time or something.

    I always thought the concept of both fighting styles was quite brilliant to represent both characters.
    Yulaw's style (Xingyi Quan) is based upon offensively moving in a linear-straight line (as he is always focused on progressing forward towards his next target/kill) and Gabe's (Bagua Zhang) involves moving in a circle (as he is focused on the things most important in his life, aka, his wife). Gabe's home also features tapestry with circular designs and he refers to his wife as, "His center".
    Great review as always and a great movie.

    I just realized that if the quickening had happened at the end of the movie, and one of them had become the one, then there would have been in total, 125 universes with them in it originally. Does that mean that there are 125 timelines total, or are there more and we are just following his character chain? If it is the second, what if some people have larger timeline chains than others? Are they naturally weaker than Gabe? Have they got the same natural strength boost ratio? If I were as strong as Gabe is before he feels the effects of the quickening but had timeline chain of 250 equivalents, would I be as strong as law or gabe were at the end of the movie once I racked up 123 kills or not? This raises so many questions!

    I may have miss it since it is late at night when I’m watching this but how come all the Jet Lees weren’t on equal in power?
    If the evil one kept killing the others was he taking something of theirs? (So that it wouldn’t transfer to the other Jet Lee’s) How’d the power know to go to that one instead of all of them? Wouldn’t he and Gabe be on the same power just Gabe wouldn’t know how to use it?

    I remember seeing this film. I like Jet Li -- he's one of the most amazing kung fu /martial arts experts. What I didn't like was the subtle reference to Asians "all looking alike," and having the "good" Jet Li fall for a White woman. But these 2 things didn't take away from the film overall.

    Late comment it definitely seems like to gain the strength one of you has to kill the other but every other version of you also gains power it splits evenly. Though it does seem like everyone else doesn't get the power up as quickly

      Here's what i think the correct answer may be to your question, jason statetam said in the movie that the remaining energy gets split between the surviving jet li's , . and your question was : why didn't the other's get a power up , answer is : they did , but yu law, was a better martial artists\ assassin cpmpared to his victoms. , the last law that yu law killed was with a gun , fast, easy and smart ,like a ninja assassin with a gun , and if you noticed , the last law kicked and bended the iron jail bars of the prison almost injuring the inmate , so that's proof that the remaining energy was shared , but the ability to use it effectively meant that you needed to be a experienced martial artist first just like gabe and yu law , in real life gabe would bedead but main character plot armor bllsht 😂😂😂😁

    Left out the fact that, while the rest of the movie is a little cheesy, it had one of the all time best... endings... ever.
    That last scene where he's dropped into prison and immediately begins tossing everyone around like he's fighting two year olds as they pan out. That scene has everyone cheering for the bad guy.

  • @BreadApologist

    I liked this movie, but I couldnt help but wonder though....in all the other universes surely there have been ....doubles? Alternates? of people who have died just due to any number of circumstances, car accident, crime, disease, animal attacks, allergic reactions, plane crashes and more including universes where the timeline is more or less advanced. So wouldnt it be not all that uncommon for some ppl to end up with super strength n all that? or do they have to kill their alt selves personally? why would that matter? If gabe didnt kill all the other gabes and they all just died of various other reasons.....and it was just the 2 gabes left.....would the multiverse cops still go after them or try to kill them? So the whole implode explode become a god deal isnt then technically illegal? What happens if the bad gabe dies in that prison world? It seems rather foolish to send him there if there was a concern of what might happen if all but 1 of someone dies. Seems cryo sleep or something woulda been a better method.

    I have to admit something.....being quite short on money the possibility I will buy a movie reviewed here- even if I love it- is almost zero atm , due to my non existent movie budget, just like my non existebt pc budget and DVD player budget, or speaker budget....or even a cheap headset budget....the last one I borrowed a friend and he doesn't give it back now. But bugging me to join Team speak. Haha. Not funny. Asshole.
    So I'm exclusively here for the puns and jokes and maybe I'll remember one of the movies I'd like to watch, when times will be better....though it doesn't look like things will change soon, even if I try my ...uhm ....prolonged back off....
    But I get a good laugh , even without watching the actual movie and that's priceless- especially for someone with PTSD and severe depression, amongst a bunch of other things I could easily return to whoever blessed me with that shit....UGH.
