Yulaw and Gabe practice two entirely different styles of Martial Art (differentiating them immensely): Shin Yi and Ba Qua. Shin Yi is a very aggressive martial art, driven, which cements who Yulaw is, the sort to not take one step back when his goal is in front of him (Unless given damn good reason like 'Going to get shot if I follow through') Ba Qua is circular fighting, one seeks to be the center and thus well defended, Gabe is a normal man who is trying to find his center. @jazzyblade1631 The only worthy sequel to The Matrix was the AniMatrix, the anthology collection of Matrix shorts which themselves would've been much better than Reloaded, Revolutions or Resurrection.

Here's a question: despite operating on the logic of a law enforcement agency, if they were so afraid of this "One" happening, why not kill them both at the same time. They live in a reality where tech is far advanced, I imagine they could pin point the kill down to the tiniest detail. Why? Well, first off the dropped bad-Jet Li on a lawless prison planet where he's constantly fighting for his life. Even with his power, he's probably going to be killed at some point. Or good Jet Li will get run over by a car like he almost does just getting transported into his new universe, which in theory might still make bad-Jet Li a god anyway. All I'm saying is, they had an opportunity to not risk it at all, but they still operated on the idea that they were enforcing dimensional law or something like that. Maybe I'm overthinking this.
There are bigger plot holes concerning the concept of "the one" but this question is actually addressed in the film. This review doesn't show every plot point. From what I recall, Roedecker actually did propose the exact same solution to Jason Statham in the movie when they go to track down Yu Law and Gabe separately. Their plan was that if Roedecker fails to capture Yu Law, then he would activate the bomb killing both himself and Yu Law, and activating the bomb would automatically send Statham the signal to terminate Gabe. But Yu Law kills Roedecker before he could detonate the bomb and in the same scene where Yu Law disarms the bomb, he also kept the signal intact to try to trick Statham into killing Gabe. Statham then contemplates killing Gabe, but deduces that Roedecker failed and decides to spare Gabe.
Well, the concept itself is flawed. The energy for the 125 people across the multiverse depends on all individuals dying at the same time. In history, there had to have been multiple “ones” via old age alone.
@@Mudoh415 I'd imagine they aged at similar rates or at least the death toll is such that you wouldn't see a catastrophic effect on the Multiverse...That might be why the second school of thought of 'What happens if there's only ONE of someone in the multiverse' was concieved.

I really enjoyed this review and agree with everything you said one hundred percent. It's a flawed movie, yes, but it's so damn entertaining that I can forgive the shortcomings, which for the most part are just lack of explanation in a few things and the creepy thing of sending Gabe to a universe where a version of his wife is still alive despite his actual wife being dead, since people don't get over deaths of loved ones that easy. Also, yeah, the acting is adequate, but when it comes to Jet Li, he plays a likable good guy, but he's so engaging as a villain. I don't know why, he just plays a villain really, really well. As for the fact that there seem to be, like, only 125 versions of Jet Li in the multi-verse, my theory is that maybe those are the ones Yulaw got to kill, and any others from more alternate universes died without him needing to do anything about it. I'm I the only one who wonders why there isn't a small, but significant, population of super powered old people in this multiverse? By the movies logic if you are one of the last you's alive in the multiverse you get powers. 8:02 He's going what? Luke Cages? Liu Kang? Loopy?
I know that Bush bit slaughtered me 👏🤣👏
I like the one . I always thought of it as the matrix meets highlander.
Original enough. A power hungry killer goes around killing other like him in order to obtain a mysterious power which only one can have. This would be like saying starchaser is different enough from star wars because Luke didn't have a girlfriend.
Mazinger Zero came after this movie.
Decker what are your thoughts on Alien Isolation? do you have any plans of doing a Let's Play of it like you did with AVP 3?
p.s. Great Review Decker :) & I know a couple other Movies that have Awesome soundtracks that I would love to recommend
