Agreed. We'd all been wanting to finally see the "future" war. My only gripe is the Resisty uses conventional small arms instead of phased plasma weapons.
I just watched this movie tonight for the first time on Netflix. I remember the skewering it got when it came out. Well, as it happens, I didn't hate it. I liked it better than the third Terminator movie. Maybe I'm not a discriminating viewer, because for the most part I didn't question the story, but went along with it. Like you, though, I rolled my eyes a bit when they blew up SkyNet's San Francisco headquarters--that helicopter was NOT far enough away to outrun a nuclear blast...but whatever. Sam Worthington's accent came and went, but he still did a fine job. Not sure why this movie was so harshly received. I'd see it again.
@@T0X1CJ0K3Rhank god I’m not the only one that feels that way. That’s how Terminator should have been. To hell with this sending Terminators back in time. OVER IT!!! They are all remade T2s. Why bother remaking something with an inferior movie? Carry on with the damn story as originally told in the first two. Wtf.
Trailer reveal of Sam Worthington being a terminator is one thing, but a frickinn poster revealing John Connor as a new T 3000 is spoiler on an epic level
Robot rodeo Have you seen Real Steel? At the beginning, the main character's robot is fighting a bull in a rodeo arena. That's the closest to a robot rodeo I can think of.
Not a bad review, dude. Salvation is the only good Terminator film after T2. A few comments, though: At 1:27, supposedly Helena's husband Tim Burton encouraged her to take the part, and also ironically doing the music to the film is his best buddy Danny Elfman. At 2:04, well they were a special ops unit looking for data and they did not know captives would be here. Likely they were to be saved after the area was clear, given there were enemies about and the prisoners might be killed if they were let out. At 03:22, Linda Hamilton makes a vocal cameo here and in a later scene as the voice of Sarah Connor recording new dialogue for her tapes. At 4:49, likely it was airlifted there, given the dropships. At 07:30, you skipped over the fact that Marcus saves John from a reptilian terminator. At 07:58, you missed how John draws it in using Guns And Roses' You Could Be Mine, the song John listened to in T2. At 11:26, well, they have advanced technology and we don't actually see it take place there after the two are both put under. Marcus was supposedly going to come back in the sequels (esp. as he comes back in the comics) but they never materialized, sad. Christian Bale fits John Connor for me given he looks like an older Edward Furlong. Also, doing the T800 Prototype is Roland Kickinger, who previously portrayed a young Arnold Schwarzenegger in the TV film See Arnold Run. Even if we know what happens to an extent in Prequels, they can be fun to see go down. I like how Salvation was not a re-hash of T2 and it did not throw the first two under the bus like Genisys did and I like how it took itself seriously. I hope the new film is good too.
Regarding those tapes with Linda Hamilton. It's kind of funny how they didn't make it sound a bit more similar to T1. She talks way to fast and is clearly new recordings. A little detail they got wrong that some of us noticed:-)
Honestly, I thought this was a far superior movie to T3. Still not as good as T2 but definitely a step in the right direction. Then we got Genysis, A major step in the wrong direction.
The only sequel in this franchise that’s even worth watching. Definitely deserves more credit. It’s dumb in places sure, but damn does it deliver some really solid moments.
Wow, I'm glad I never saw the trailers before seeing this movie, as I had no idea Marcus was a terminator until he got blown up. I still don't understand why they killed him off, especially as it makes no sense in the movie. His heart had been badly damaged and stopped beating after taking a punch by the T800 and it had to been zapped back into working, so probably not in good shape to be transplanted. Besides, Marcus had just shown himself to be the best weapon the resistance have, so why would they kill him?
I like this movie because of the A-10 Warthogs. And when I was serving in the Gulf I got to see in A-10 in action that 30 mm cannon when that thing fire it sounded like a buzzsaw. We would say the bull moose is on the loose.
The movie was excellent compared to 3,5,6 .The first one in my opinion was the best ,the second was a great action ,but the liquid robots weren't so convincing and it looked like to watch some kind of a Star Wars movie. T4 has its bad sides like the monochromatic aspect, actors like C.Bale, the bad Arnold CGI and other, but in my opinion was a very good film. Somehow I'm comparing it to Alien 2, even if the second one was better.
I really liked this movie and have had to hide it for years since everyone seemed to agree that it was awful. Nice to hear someone say it's not bad and has really good elements to recommend it!
This is maybe the darkest Terminator from the series and I loved it. Really undervalued. You dont always need a villain to get a great movie, also the terminators felt freaking badass
The biggest complaint I heard from this movie is that there are not any laser rifles, which there is a reason for, it's still early in the war so od course they're not gonna have those yet
Wait wait wait, i feel bad for knowing this but the pilot's name is Blair Williams!? That's the name of an adult entertainer 😂😂😂omg. On a side note great videos NewBee, love your channel!!!
Your narration gives me life. Oh my sweet baby alpacas, you're fricken' amazeballs. Your effortless wit makes me the happiest. You're so amazing, Damn. I'm prolly your #1 biggest fan!! Thank you so much for bringing me happiness :)
Not only did they not do the transplant in a sterile environment, they didn’t match the tissues and I’m pretty sure they don’t have any anti rejection meds 🤦🏾♀️🤨🧐. I didn’t like this one.
1:43 Cute and fuzzy bunnies versus Israeli submachine gun (which, by the way, was at least partially based on a Czech design). 2:14 Berets aren't worn in combat. 2:36 My major gripe with this movie (which is otherwise a step in the right direction since it finally focuses on the "future" war), and I'm not the first bring this up, is this: Why does the Resisty use conventional small arms instead of phased plasma weapons? 7:29 His left eye being intact makes that battle damage look so fake! Actually, it's not the eye. It's the fact that the upper and lower eyelids are completely intact and unaffected by the surrounding battle damage. 10:14 Simpsons reference. 11:16 What about tissue rejection? 12:37 If he's right-handed, then he should crouch on his right knee. 13:47 Agreed. He did great! 13:51 Same here. Michael Biehn is my "Burt Reynolds." 13:56 * *Shattered Soldier* * 14:10 How does Skynet know about Kyle Reese? Does it know that Reese is John Connor's father?
This movie had the misfortune of coming up when Hollywood was trying hard to sell us on Sam Worthington as the next leading man (wouldn't surprise me if Cameron played a part on that as a favor). His part was completely unnecessary. Salvation should have been about the events that took place leading to Kyle Reese making the jump to the past or at least meeting John Connor. Anton Yelchin (God rest his soul) actually made a very good young Kyle Reese. You could picture him growing into the Kyle Reese we see in T1. He is resourceful like older Kyle but not beaten down (and most likely suffering PTSD) yet. Anytime they story moved away from Reese, the film turned dull. I couldn't care less about the sexual tension between Sam Worthington and Moon Bloodgood (which went nowhere anyway).
(Movie Announcer) "IN A UNIVERSE FULL OF HUMAN ATROCITIES, SYSTEMIC CORRUPTION AND A DYING PLANET, ONE MAN CAN BE COUNTED ON TO EXPLAIN THE TRAGIC JOY OF EXISTENCE!" "It's two and a half bees, man. Chill." Love it!
The Rifftrax version is a hoot. And this movie is only memorable because of Christian Bale's hissy fit during filming. Kinda ruins the whole hero vibe thing going on. Oh, you ought to review "The Titan" because that movie is way out there. Sam Worthington's DNA is scrambled so he can swim on Titan. Go figure.

Great review of the Terminator Salvation. I like how funny the minority's name sound like a caveman's name, right along the line of having a monkey's name, LOL. Awesome video Bee Man.
This in my opinion was the most boring action movie to sit through. Obviously there was no story, but I will give bale credit for doing a decent performance. I think this is the most bland terminatior out of the franchise.
Honestly I really like this movie it gave me something different for the Terminator
Salvation should get credit for doing something different.
Agreed. We'd all been wanting to finally see the "future" war. My only gripe is the Resisty uses conventional small arms instead of phased plasma weapons.
I have really complicated feelings about this movie
I guess you could say he'll BEE back

P.S. Oh yes, I thought Anton Yelchin made a great Kyle Reece. RIP. :'(
Love the "drawn together" clips you put in.
Salvation is my second favorite terminator, honestly I absolutely love the movie. Second only to the first one.
I’m sorry, a war trilogy helmed by McG would have been better than Genesys and Dark Fate by a lot.
It definitely would have been much better, specially as it would have made the series ending where it began by sending Kyle back into 1984.

I hadn’t even heard of this movie when I saw it for the first time. No trailer. Zero context. The plot twist blew my mind. Terribly underrated.
"Eyes up here, girly man!" 😂 And nice Beetlejuice reference at the beginning! 😊
