Hear me out, the unarmed fist combat in this game is pretty amazing. It feels so raw, heavy, powerful and badass to punch the shiet out of an NPC. There are so much depth to it as well, but sadly, it all gets ruined by the fact that pretty much all NPCs are literally world fighting champions. This is because of their DISGUSTING ability to bob, weave and counter almost all your attacks as frequently as they like. You might think that it's an overstatement, but no, they can and WILL dodge almost every punch you throw at them, to the point where it doesn't even actually feel satisfying to knock em' out. For example, if you pick a fight with the Saint Denis workers, they will gang up on you, but it will feel so lame, because every single one of them can just counter all your attacks, while also hitting you from the back and sides, but the worst part is, that no matter how many times you punch someone in this game, they will NOT get worse in their ability to weave and counter your attacks, no, they will fight you to the end. Also, why can so many NPCs take like 10 or more hits before they actually get knocked out? Even tho Arthur and John has the most powerful looking punches in the West?

I once got into a fist fight with a guy in front of the Saint Denis saloon (The Big One) and then the most movie-esque thing happened. We were fighting in front of the doors so as we were fighting he managed to push me into the doors, opening them. Then our fight got pushed farther away from the doors, making them close.
Gta6 should have super realistic fights with facial damage that heals and scars over time and the moves are more street fight sit separate buttons for kicking,punfhing , and maybe even choking
Hand to hand combat in rdr2 is just so good and fun, especially when you know the little tricks and how to throw people trough windows or smash their heads on tables etc. Always respect npcs who leave guns in their holsters and just bang with you.
Reminds me of that one time during a fistfight I threw the O'driscoll I was fighting infront of a moving train. All I heard was: "You won't get away from me, Van Der Linde!" before he got hit.
I am suppose to feel bad for npc's since they are innocent but when it comes to red dead redemption I am laughing and at the same time feeling bad for those npc getting killed without reason 😂😂😂😭😭😭
I never understood why they haven’t put that in the game…. It even has its own part in the story where you go find Charles in saint denis as John and he’s doing street fights with betting. Would’ve been very realistic and a fun addition. I love fighting in rdr2 but there’s to many places where either you’ll get in trouble or npcs start shooting
