Artistes magnifiques...Merci à vous.
Glory be to the great Pollini!
R.I.P great Maurizio Pollini. YOu inspired us all!
Great pianist.
My absolute performance/recording of the Brahms 2nd!! I don't think it will be surpassed orchestrally or piano. Love Abaddo's tempi and the utter gorgeous sound. Herr Sheiwein played the cello solo so beautifully. I adore the DG recording of this exact same concert. Incredible sound.
The camera work is flawless. The music sublime.
アバドさんも、ポリーニさんも、お若いですね。ウィーンフィルのメンバーも、懐かしい方がたくさんおられますね。ありがとうございます。
The nephew of Mr. Scheiwein is actually my cello teacher
24:16 My favorite part 💜💜
This is probably the best (not only video) recording of this gigantic concerto. Together with Concerto No. 1 (Sawallisch - NHK S.O.) it makes the best couple ever. If Pollini didn´t make any other recordings, he would still be one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century.
I think you're right. It is difficult even to imagine something better. The maximum of lyrycism, the maximum of dramatic power. And yet we have heard this concerto many and many times, played by the greatest pianists of the century, for instance Richter (with Leinsdorf). But this feels like an unparalleled execution. Abbado too is fantastic.
A parte L,indiscussa bravura del pianista e il grande Abbado segnalo la bellezza del suono del 1 cello Robert scheiwuein
