    Un pianista indimenticabile che ho avuto la fortuna d' ascoltare molte volte . Mi auguro che l' Italia avverta pienamente il lutto della sua scomparsa di oggidì e possa elaborarlo con cultura , aprendo voglio dire l' intero proprio tessuto ad una realtà musicale più ampia di quella che da troppo tempo si deve sconsolatamente constatare .

      Le istituzioni pubbliche deputate alla formazione culturale dei nostri giovani hanno rivelato e dimostrano tuttora totale inadeguatezza.
      Se così non fosse non dovremmo subire il fenomeno
      " Maneschin"

      Pollini purtroppo ha lasciato un vuoto incolmabile.
      Rimane il fatto che le sue interpretazioni continueranno ad emozionare per sempre

    Op.58 is the best Piano Concerto. Abbado and Pollini just make it perfect.

    Just love that Pollini plays the Beethoven's first cadenza so brilliantly in the first movement (the composer wrote two for the first movement and it is usually the second one that is performed). One has to just marvel at those trills in the latter part of the cadenza.

    At first I thought the cadenzy from 13:52 was a mistake, because I had known this concert just without it, but then it became clear. The cadenza can be played but is obviously not essential. An extremely difficult part but well played.

      There are two different cadenzas written by Beethoven for this concerto.

      c'est Pollini, ça a été filmé à un autre moment du concert, après la symphonie (il n'y a plus de piano sur scène)

    Extraordinaria interpretación, como siempre en Pollini. Qué lástima que en el primer movimiento haya optado por esa cadencia, y no por la otra, que suele ser la que mayoritariamente se toca (y que a mí, particularmente, me gusta más y me parece más "impresionante").

    for Beethoven and Brahms, I always prefer to listen to Pollini
