I love the pavane from Ravel in the end so beautiful to hear the Melody so clean
❤
A magnificent, sintilatingly beautiful, manifesting brilliant technique, with finesse and a magical performance demonstrating flawless, unique musical integrity characteristic of Polling proving his legendary status Posthumous Congratulations! R.I.P with the angels! Wendy Louise Hall ( Pianist, colleague and close friend)
I see Herr Albrecht Mayer in the oboe section... 😎🌻🧡
That’s right 😉.
He was the pianist I could listen every day and loved. R.I.P Maetro
Brahm's music is so powerful and strong and Pollini makes it so absolutely fantastic❤
Immenso
If you're listening to it for the first time, I think a royal road performance without coloring is good. Well, I'll be back here again lol Personally, I also like the combination of Jochum and Gilels, Ashkenazy and Haitink. Abbado and Brendel are next.

for Beethoven and Brahms, I always prefer to listen to Pollini
Tanta bellezza toglie il respiro.! Grandiosa interpretazione! Grazie a Claudio e a Maurizio, interpreti meravigliosi del grande Beethoven!
Why no standing ovation? To my untrained ear a wonderful performance of a great sonata.
I can't hear any tension in his performance, maybe because of his age. This Arietta of Beethoven is one of his most original and dramatic composition, to my mind.
All I can say is that great as a pianist he was in many, many works, he had an exceptionally inspired way when playing Beethoven's Op 111.. This performance is a fitting tribute to his artistry and as one of the greatest pianists of the 20th Century.
Beautiful recording of this unique piece. Incidentally, I remember hearing it offered as a kind of homage to a famous person who had recently passed on. On the morning of the funeral of Princess Diana, twenty-seven years ago, the classical music channel of Swedish public radio ran a programme of "listeners' wishes". Last in the show came this splendid movement, with its otherworldly quality. It ended at noon sharp and that was also the point when the royal casket reached Westminister Abbey (we're one time zone ahead of the UK) and the funeral mass began (broadcast live of course on TV). I think that was a quite deliberate choice of final track for the programme.
@@louise_rose thank you for your remembrance ❤️
Oh my god! So beautiful!
Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 gives overwhelming emotion, and No. 4 gives boundless beauty.

Never new Bozo could play violin
Wonderful
Just love that Pollini plays the Beethoven's first cadenza so brilliantly in the first movement (the composer wrote two for the first movement and it is usually the second one that is performed). One has to just marvel at those trills in the latter part of the cadenza.
Grazie Beethoven, grazie Pollini. Immortali
IN GLORIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Magnifique prestation. Bravo!

Thanks Mr. Maurizio Pollini! Your presence in this world made us better, Sir! Congrats, and continue playing in Heaven🎹🎼🎵🎶🎶🕊
Pianoforte Fabbrini di Pescara ,una vera eccellenza👏
Brilliant performance! It's a shame that they both are no longer with us. R.I.P.
❤️❤️❤️🎵🎶Love his interpretation and expression. He was and is a phenomenal pianist.

Op.58 is the best Piano Concerto. Abbado and Pollini just make it perfect.
