Tricky job well done. Classic rust spot on the Z's as many owners will testify . For some reason I'm not getting notified when you release a new post but luckily I found it. Looking forward to the next instalment.
It is tricky but this one is enjoyable to be honest. Most of the details are hidden in this location so it's not to tough. The wing/fender welding was a lot worse.
Loving these videos mate. I'm doing my 280 at the moment at a very similar stage. Great to see how you're doing things so I can take it all on board for mine. Keep it up
I'm following your success.
REALY ENJOYED THIS
Keep it up mate

Nice job well done. Bringing back memories of my 260Z that I restored in '94-'95. Keep it up.
Cheers Andrew!
Do you still have it?
Yes. It was my 1st Datsun restoration. I now have 5 Datsuns.

Cheers Oscar. It's progressing slower than expected bit what's the rush anyway 😁. Best of luck with your build
what thickness sheet metal do you use? i'm just getting started on this repair. I'll need to pick up metal. Thank you!
I usually measure what I'm replacing and go with the next size up. Usually 1mm
What gauge of steel did you use to restore this?
Hi. I'll measure what ever place I'm working on and replace it with similar. Most of the body work is 1mm MS
