I’m so glad that this video showed up in my recommendations. You have done a great job with showing the diagram first and than you actually doing the stitch next. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us beginners. 😊
Thank you for a wonderful beginners video. It would be helpful to know what needle to use and what you could use these stitches... FYI I went to my local thrift store and bought used sheets, pillow cases, etc... to practice these stitches over and over again. I cut the sheets into manageable pieces and just scored multiple lines on each piece. I then just kept practicing and it didn’t cost me and arm and a leg for practice fabric. Just an idea that worked for me.
thank you carol pretty, and thank you for sharing your experience it's always handy to have someone else ideas on how to practice with videos, please let me know if you have any questions or any help and keep sharing your ideas and your experiences with us, its useful more than you imagine for a lot of beginners, and for me too because I learn from you too :)
My wife (a skilled crocheter and sewing machinist) is just beginning to experiment with embroidery, so I'm sure she will find your video fascinating. For myself I just love to admire the results of this skilful technique. Thanks for sharing, from a new subscriber.👍👍👍
Thank you so much for taking time to write to me, you really made my day😊, if your wife have any questions please don’t hesitate , I will be more than happy to help 🙏
Excellent video!!..One of the best executed videos on you tube! (No unnecessary talking, pleasant music, perfect camera zoom-in and angle, simple, clear, rich in content). Alot of youtube videos are more about the presenter than it is about the material that they are sharing. ( it's a waste of the viewers time).I was searching for a french knot tutorial and came across this video.I learned alot and and enjoyed it alot, too. You sparked my interest in embroidery thank you!!!..will be watching and following your videos !
Thank you so much Sari Sari your comment really make me very happy ,I can't thank you in off for all your interest for my work ,hope that in the future you will like more of them, thank you again 🙏
Hi! I’m a new subscriber. I just joined an Embroidery group that is teaching 2 stitches a week for a year so we’ll learn 100 stitches! Your channel popped up as a suggestion and it’s perfect timing!! I can’t wait to see more of what you do! 😊💜
Hi, welcome to my channel I'm very pleased to have you as a new friend, I will be more than happy to help you in your journey to learn a beautiful art like embroidery, so don't forget to ask me any questions if you need anything :)
Thanks for this training video. Please give me the name of the needle that you used on the spider web rose and the backstitch? It has a slanted tip. Where can it be purchased?
The name of the needle is Clover Huck embroidery needles you can found them on Amazon I gave you the link below, happy stitching Lillian, hope that help ;) www.amazon.com/Clover-2012-Huck-Embroidery-Needles/dp/B0009J18VW/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_1?keywords=Huck+Embroidery+Needles+The+tip+is+rounded+and+curved+so+cloth+can+be+easily+scooped.&qid=1548041680&sr=8-1-fkmrnull
Baroudi Broderie Thank you for the video! I had never seen those slanted tip embroidery needles... Can you explain what is the difference in using that type of needles versus the regular ones? Thanks! 😊
Ok so I just brought my first kit and will begin my journey of embroidery. However I feel a little hesitant now because it's so much to learn. How do you know what stitch type to use and when? I feel like I'm doomed
Hi Mandy , Happy that you share with me your feelings, your question is what to use and where, so all the 8 first stitches on the video are outlining stitches you can use any of them to outline any design, just have fun there is no theory its an art like drawing, painting, you have to trust yourself and keep it simple at your first try, I suggest you begin with back stitch it's the easiest and the most used for beginners, just outline any design like a simple flower no fancy and go to my second video about filling stitches and use the simple one satin stitch , little by little you will feel confident then try every time a new outlining stitch and combine it with another filling stitch to fill what you need to fill(just play with it ). You gave me a nice idea and a real problem next time I will try to make a video about maximum 4 stitches for a beginner,, hope that my answer helped you to see more clearly and please don't hesitate to write me if you have any questions, I am waiting for your first stitch (use back stitch and satin stitch no more then 2, 3 stitches ) :) You can do it ;)
@@Jouerart thank you so much!!! You don't know how much this has helped to relieve me! I have the tendency of overthinking at times. I will def take your advice and use your channel to help carry me along the way. Thank you, I appreciate you a bunch and will keep a lookout for your video! ❤
Hi , the content n the music of the video is so amazing. Could u plzz tell about the music u used in the beginning of the video. It’s so soothing. Thank you.
What fabric do I need to get? I really want to start embroidery but I have no idea what fabric I need. I’ve looked on hobby craft and it all looks the same I’m just so confused
Hi Lea, in this video I used aida fabric numéro 28 , but if you can use , Cotton , popeline, in fact any fabric will Work like an old t-shirt that you don’t use , if you want to just start doodling some stitches alfter that when you feel more confident to start a project you will need fabric as I told you before linen, Cotton, popeline (mix of 35%Cotton and 65%polyester) and this is the cheapest one. Hope that my answer help 😉👍
It's much easier to understand how to make the stitches when you can see it done instead of just a drawing in a book. But why is your needle bent? It's obviously meant to be so, I'm jjust curious.
Hi Anna, Glad to hear from you again, so my needle is an embroidery bent needle that's right the Tip is rounded and curved so cloth can be easily scooped if you are curious to see how it is you go check it on Amazon to see the real form of it ;)www.amazon.ca/dp/B0009J18VW/?coliid=I3555EBD6XD6QC&colid=2RZP0SURSPYDH&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

I spent 7 minutes trying to insert and tie the thread to the needle.
Maybe the thread is too thick and your needle has a smaller hole 🪡 , and believe me it happen to all of us 😤😉☺️
