I am an eleven year old knitter, crocheter, and sewer. This morning I woke up and thought, "I want to embroider." Your video was extremely helpful for a beginner like me. Thank u so much!
That’s amazing! I started crocheting when I was around 8 and learned to knit, quilt, embroider and needle felt. I’m in my thirties now and I am so grateful to have a lifelong passion that keeps me so inspired and fulfilled. Keep going and never stop!!
Thank you so much. This is the clearest, most instructive and pleasant video I have seen so far on embroidery. Even your back ground music was great, not too loud and certainly not distracting like so many others. Well done. You have a new fan.
This is my first video about embroidery. I have always been interested in it, but never actually thought I could try it out. This makes me feel like maybe I can try it out after all! I think I will go pick up some beginners stuff and give it a go! Thank you so much!
Same here. Just watching made me want to try it so I have and it's great. It's very forgiving so even if you're not perfect to begin with, it still looks great. Hugely satisfying!
I’m an avid cross stitcher and find embroidery difficult. You make the stitches look super easy. I’m going on holiday next week and will pack some fabric for embroidery along with my cross stitch fabric. I am going to try out all your leaves. I’ve subscribed to your channel after watching this video. Who knows what delights are in store? Thank you for this gift!
Ahora a mis 75 años me he atrevido a bordar, de a poco soltar la mano. Realmente este video es excelente como enseña. Muy agradecida y felicitaciones por compartir sus conocimientos.
It's so amazing how just this little demonstration of ten different stitches is actually a gorgeous, minimalistic piece, and titled "beginners" too! I can't wait to get into embroidery create all kinds of beautiful thread art. I've always been so entranced by it.
I have been embroidering since a child, taught by my mom who passed away when I was young. I have not seen many of these stitches. Thank you for teaching me new stitches.
There was a time when no young woman was considered accomplished or desirable unless she had needlework skills. I wouldn't have us go back to those times, but am so glad women and men are keeping these arts alive. It's serene, creative, and beautiful.
@@kateps1874 I definitely wouldn't want to go back to those times, but I do wish these skills (sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet, etc) were still considered valuable everyday skills. My mom grew up doing all these things and she never taught me because there were "more important things", like schoolwork that my parents wanted me to do instead. I think it's so valuable to have a variety of academic and manual skills in life and not to consider a skill of no value just because it probably won't lead to a high-earning career.
It's very very helpful for those who still learns as a beginner, like me. I'm staring at this video and don't wanna miss the details you taught. Many thanks for such a great video. Now I feel more confident practicing more as you guide me. Success to you and I've subscribed to get more patterns from you.
I was too overwhelmed at the thought of attempting to learn how to try my hand at embroidery because I thought it would be too tedious and difficult, but thanks to this great tutorial, I am no longer too scared to try. Your instruction is perfect. Thank-you for this.
This is such a good class. I keep going back to it. Even for fancy initials, some of these stitches work. As well as for many other ideas and shapes. Thank you! Greetings from Mexico City.
I have been cross stitching for 40 years but have only done a few projects on linen. I was encouraged by a friend to consider linen for more projects. I just watched your leaf video and it was so helpful. I especially like the leaves done with the variegated threads. Looking forward to more video tutorials. Thank you, Ray Owens.
I’m amazed, it looks so easy! I’m just starting to learn now and I love it: it’s like painting with thread! Thank you for sharing those videos, they’re most helpful.
Actually embroidery is painting with thread colours by using needle as a brush besides I love the voice of needle and thread when it comes out of the fabric its really beautiful.
Thanks for the vid!! I’ve never embroidered before in my life but this tutorial’s so clear that my family thinks I’m a pro now. Plus the design looks SOO pretty on my tote bag I love carrying it everywhere I go. You’re the best!!
I just started my journey on embroidery and I am so thankful for these videos! I have always thought it was impossible for me to create something this pretty, but I was wrong!
What a perfect way to beauty. I had took up hand embroidery now due to the lock down time .In my childhood days I used to do embroidery and now I feel both sad and happy. Sad because I left it many many years ago when going on with life. Thanks for the beautiful exquisite work presented in a simple manner.😍

This is the best embroidery video I've seen till now. Thank you so much for this one. And the colours you choose are so much soothing to look at, loved it. 💚 Each and every design is incredibly beautiful.
Great video. I wasn't sure if it was possible to do leaves without a strong outline (which to me takes away from the beautiful leaf veins), so I was happy to see so many options. French knots as outline, even? Cool.
I started this video, learned the first stitch and it was great! I then got high and continued to watch to learn the second stitch and it is FANTASTIC. Love this video. Would watch even if I had no intention or interest in embroidery 10/10
I watched your video on needles but it wasn’t until this video that I really understood how important it is to use the Milliners needle. I have been trying to do embroidery with the wrong needle all this time - (I’m 68!) I was taught at school to use a short needle with a big eye. No wonder I found it impossible to do neat boullion knots! Thank you so very much for sharing your skills. I think your work is so beautiful 💖
