I finished the flowers after years of only cross stitching. I do agree this is beginners to a certain degree. I am going to do the 10 flowers again and I am learning more details and little tricks. Maybe for people that is an absolute beginner you could name in the video all the different stitchs, so one could do some slow research on them. I don't want to be misunderstood: I love the designs, the video and I am really enjoying it. It is just a little suggest for making it a bit more friendly for absolute beginners or people like me with some knowledge but a long time without practicing. Thank you for sharing! :)

Haha I watched this the other night and said to myself “wow that’s easy I can do that,” so today I went and bought some floss, material, needles and I’ve made two flowers, I’ve never done embroidery before, it’s actually quite difficult to make it look nice, I was discouraged at first then reminded myself I’ve only ever done these two flowers.. I need to give myself more time and practice, the tension is really important and where you come in and out is also important, but I’m learning, thanks for this video! But not for making it look so easy hahah!

Indeed an important concept. Like any new skill, patience and practice is required, and will improve over time. Afterall no one gets to first chair in a symphony be plucking two strings on a violin ...lol. Allowing yourself to be imperfect will allow you to relax while stitching which will improve your stitches. Funny how that works. Enjoy the beauty you create, for it is beautiful simply because you created it, not because others may or may not judge it to be so. Nature is not perfect either. Namaste.

I'm a beginner.. I know the needle size depends on fabric .. but please could someone recommend me a size and brand of needles- one with large eyes, sharp and leave small holes in fabric.. I tried buying online and I cannot differentiate between sizes.. some reviews in it says they're god for embroidery and some say they aren't .. I already brought a needle set and returned it since it wasn't as I expected.. please please help me out!

I'm embroidering small displays around a ruffled hem of a beautiful white cotton chemise gown and this is just the ideas I'm looking for. I've completed some of the classic Roses, french knot flowers and bees but now I can complete it with some finer thread work. Thank you very much, I so enjoy your style and learning new techniques.
