Have the Gibson 50's LG2 ..... Love IT !
Sounds really good
Really looking forward to trying one as soon as I can find one… although I can’t help wishing Gibson did the same spec on a 12-fret L-00….
A very sweet sounding piece, and I'm looking forward to that side-by-side too.
I've always loved the LG-2. It has a sound of its own, but it's a good sound. ❤️
GREAT review, can't wait for the Gibson comparison video!!
Sounds pretty dark and moody, strums well. Love to hear some funky slide an smackin' on this Gibby.
Cool thanks for letting me know it's shy of 1 3/4" nut width. I was just wondering when you mentioned that.
The spec sheet states it's a 43mm nut which, in the hand, is much narrower than the 1 3/4". It is the classic 1 11/16" which I much prefer. (now all I need is the £4,000 to buy it)
I would like to see an Epiphone Masterbilt version of this one.
Me too!
I guess no side-by-side, as I bought the guitar. Supposed to arrive 2/4!!
The Gibson LG-2 was never a model that was on my radar, but it is now. I would love to play some fingerstyle on one in person. Secondly, kudos to Quinton for an excellent performance, and if I may be bold a nearly effortless performance. That guitar must really be easy to play.
You are so darn good!
Would love to hear this side by side with the banner j45 just for kicks
LOVE THIS!!!!!
Nice Played 👍
I own a 57 LG-3...wouldn't take anything for it! it has a bookmatched back..ive never seen another like it..my grandpa left it to me in 75
I read it as:” I own 57 LG-3s” Lmao
@@hathaway.1166 Hahahaha!😂Wish I had 57 LG-3's
Robert Johnson would approve.
Haha my thoughts exactly!!!
Listening through headphones, it has a lot of guts for a small body. Surprising too for mahogany back and sides. Should compete well with Taylor’s new GT series.
Wish Gibson made a J45 or j-50 with this nut width
Damn, at that price you can find really nice vintage Gibson acoustics.
John Cusack?
How does it stack up to your ceo 7?
Good tone quality but it kinda sounds like it has extra light strings on
Around 5:15 or so, are you in a drop tuning? If so, drop D? DADGAD? Please advise, sensei.
As soon as a used one comes around $3k I’m getting one. 2021-2022 model.
A big sound signature, but it’s not my cup of tea !
Nevertheless, I really like the sound of vintage Chris Stapleton one´s
If Quentin was Q, then I'd trust the plan.
What’s ballpark price to do an LG-2 M2M with standard C profile? I hate V shape necks
Please send me an email if you would like to discuss a M2M Custom order.... chad@musicvilla.com
Martin guitars have much better craftsmanship, and a more complete sound, I have found. This is expensive for a 'basic' guitar. The Waterloo 14 is better in my opinion.
Well it’s from the vintage series and far away from basic.
I’m a Martin guy as well. But the binding separation issues are a little off putting to me. So recent craftsmanship not so sure.
I don’t like how bulbous it is on top
that's what she said
That’s some serious twang. Not sure I am a fan.
Not a fan. Literally it isn’t a fan. But I also don’t like it very much.
I like it but at this price it should also work as a fan
