This is one of my favorite stitches. I've made wash cloths, shawls, and baby blankets with this stitch. I also use it as a boarder. Sometimes I will then add a picot in it.
Love these simple crochet patterns. It's good practice for me as a beginner. So far I've made two beanie hats and now I'm working on a blanket. It takes me a little time but it's working out beautifully. Thank you for all that you have taught me so far.
Thank you for making it easier to learn all these different crochet stitches. While I was doing this tutorial I found myself going skip skip like you do, 😊
Crystal, you are hands down, “ the BEST instructor “!! I self taught about 5 years ago with your videos and you explain so well and you are so appreciated! And all for free for us! You are a gem, and this stitch is beautiful and easy least! Thank you again!
Thanks so much for the tip about putting the final single crochet in the chain of the previous row, it creates such a nice edge! As always, thank you for sharing your talents. Congrats on 1M subscribers!
Thank you for another great tutorial, I love them all. You mentioned at the beginning that this stitch was not a yarn eater, I find that very useful, could you please give this information for future stitch videos. Love and woolly hugs
These are the stitches I enjoy the most. A nice textures, no big gaps, and a 1 or 2 row repeate that you can do without thinking. My husband calls it going into robot mode. I can watch youtube, pet the cats, talk to the kids, all while doing this pattern and in a week or two have an absolutely gorgeous blanket.
This stitch is my all time favorite! It's my go to stitch! I made so many blankets with this stitch for years. Glad to see it posted her. Nobody can explain things as well as Crystal so I feel like I'm learning it again for the first time. Thank you, Crystal - Bag-O-Day is the ONLY way to learn how to Crotchet 🙌
This was the perfect pattern for the yarn I had. Just finished a prayer shawl in this. Used Caron jumbo. I had to add a few rows of another color because 2 skeins was just a bit short. I make mine 24x64 with an 8mm hook. It was such an easy pattern and it came out beautiful🩷 thank you again for another fabulous pattern and tutorial 😎
I love these stitches that make a more solid fabric. What a cozy blanket this would make! Thank you Crystal for teaching yet another beautiful stitch I'm sure many of us have not seen. 🤎🤗
It's cute! Happy New Year, Crystal and family! Peace, happiness, blessings and ALL THE THINGS! (He's adorable, thanks for finding him and Gary - just the sweetest!) 💕💕💕
What a lovely, calming stitch! This looks like so much fun - a 1-row, simple repeat; perfect. Just what the doctor ordered! 😀 Thanks, Crystal! Your crochet videos keep me sane. And productive. And happy. You’re the best! ❤
Than you Crystal 😊.. I think you're such a Blessing in my life.. You've helped me so very much in my crochet life. CONGRATULATIONS on reaching 961,000.. getting closer to that MILLION 🎉
Thanks for including the transcript. I've tried some of your "simple" patterns and just couldn't keep track. My brain doesn't always work the way I want it to.
Oh wow does this ever make a nice fabric! It would be great even for a cardigan or a top depending on the size hook and the size yarn. You could make it as light or as warm as she wanted to. Thank you I have heard of the watte stitch, and just for some reason, didn’t attract me Just didn’t look at it close enough not only is it a lovely “TV “stitch but it’s actually beautiful I was working with a scrap of coffee shop sandstone oh my just gorgeous as usual hit the jackpot with crystal. Thanks much and happy new year.🎉🎉
I’m glad you posted this tutorial! Such a beautiful stitch. I am using it for my current blanket project for one of my daughters. One other perk is how easy it is to keep the sides straight..some of us need all the help we can get 😂
I love how you start the majority of your stitches with a single crochet row, it makes for a nicer edge.
