  • Greek dolmades just like my mama makes (well almost!)
    You can also make these with vine leaves but I prefer them with silverbeet as they are not so bitter.

    DOLMADES! ❗BEST and TASTIEST RECIPE.❗The YUMMIEST Dolmades I've ever eaten.😋 🍴
    Ingredients for filling
    500 g minced meat
    1/2 cup rice (washed)
    1 Med Onion finely chopped
    A spoon of tomato paste dissolves in a small glass of warm water
    Half a bunch fresh parsley chopped
    Juice of 1 small lemon
    Salt and Pepper to taste
    1 TB olive oil
    2 bunches of silverbeet

    why the dip into hot then into cold process? what's it doing?

    The recipe needs garlic oregano not mint and Vegeta vege stock powder and chilli and people will be banging the door down for more. Please try it. Cheers

      thanks for the tips but this is my mum's recipe, I wouldn't change it for the world. They were my favorite food growing up and still are. It is a traditional Cypriot recipe. In Greece, they use grape leaves and oregano, in Cyprus they use the chard leaves I used in the video and mint, which gives them a beautiful smell and taste. I have never heard of the Vegeta and chili in dolmades, it sounds yummy but it is a variation of the traditional dolmades.
