No respect for the man nor his 'accomplishments'. No redeeming value in someone who does that to a child. He tried to normalize it to her. He messed up her head and the other stuff too.

“Twelve Thirty” was one of John’s most beautiful creations. Hauntingly bittersweet. He was a brilliant songwriter. Too bad years of hard drugs stole his humanity. His music will live on.

The phone rang, I answered, a voice comes on the phone and says Candy this is John Phillips! Do you know who I am? I said yes and starting singing Monday, Monday! He was laughing! I have a very young sounding voice so probably didn’t think I knew who he was! He called several times after that and was always very nice calling me by my name! I just found one of his daughter's RUclips channel's. Chynna Phillips Baldwin. She tells some stories about her father. There's one where she's talking with her brother Jeff and talks about Cass. He also tells a story about John and Elvis riding motorcycles together. There were some pretty interesting stories on that particular video. Anyway, thanks for sharing this with us. Congratulations on being credited for the movie !! That's awesome...!! I haven't seen it yet, but I can't wait to watch this movie. You're a great researcher !!

I think genius is a bit of a stretch; pop tunes aren’t really difficult to write- it’s getting it recorded, produced, and distributed etc that’s difficult. I’m not saying it’s easy but we always use the word genius to freely with pop stars

We sat right behind Sean Lennon as he was dating Bijou. I thought of Sean because the service kept speaking of course about John and wondered what he was probably thinking . It was a wonderful service and I thought McKenzie did a wonderful job. .
