Hi I watched your video and it’s very interesting and helpful but I am new to metal detecting and been told lots of different things. Is the best setting to have the detector on 99 ?
No just more information in the varied tone, each number sounds slightly different, and you can hear the nuances on say I misshapen or ferrous target, instead of looking down to see a number . For example 2 tone , 1 would be ferrous tone and then the other a good tone but without looking at the ID you wouldn’t know how conductive it was , just say bronze around 60 and silver around 80, the tone would be the same , but with 99 they will sound very different . Same with 4 tone for eg would be in 25 number segments at stock , so a lot of different targets could sound the same as a tone covers 25 possible number ID’s

I am having trouble pairing up my headphones to my ultra and I know I will be watching this video over and over again. Thank you for putting this video up.
Update to 7.01 it will pair better with bt headphones, my ultra was unable to connect to my creative jam until i updated the firmware, keep in mind thay you will not see any LL icon/symbol.

Hi Liam, Been watching your vids on the Ultra super helpful and informative! Been using the Ultra for 100+ hours now it's my first machine so still learning. Do you think the Ultra will receive any more firmware updates? For eg. as you mentioned it would be nice to be able to save the iron audio setting instead of having to turn it on every time you turn the detector on. Thought i'd ask maybe you have some inside info :) Keep up the great content. Thanks
So when you go into four tone or 99 tone, what search mode is it based on? Field or Park? Looks like they haven't changed a thing from your prototype model from what I can see.
Do you think they will offer an update for the Original Simplex+ with the new version? Or is the old machine not capable of running the new program? Or is it able but they won't release it forcing you to buy a new machine?
Could be any of them , but I don’t think they are forcing anyone to buy a detector they are offering the option 👍🏻just because there is a ultra out , doesn’t mean your not going to start not finding with the simplex 😂 it’s a great machine
The Simplex + is on the Discontinued Detector List as of 2021 and it's not really that old to already be shelved to the list and when they put it on the list it is only 2 years old and Now it's been 4 years and I also went to Notka Macro Product's Website thinking of a update for it and the EMI Problem's that it's having and I have also sent a email to Notka Macro Product's and Was told to do a frequency shift that doesn't work and lower the sensitivity down and that didn't work either. So the X-Terra Pro was out and I bought it and I have no more Problem's with the EMI that the Simplex + couldn't handle At some of my Permissions and the X-Terra Pro just walks in and gets to work and I have traded the Simplex + for a Equinox 600 and the 2 Minelabs Detector's are the very first time I've ever owned a Minelab and I will never get another Detector from Notka Macro Product's........

hi, I have a question about the backlight, because in simplex plus there were two options, you could choose constant backlight and backlight when we have a signal, and how does it look like in simplex ultra??
@@dusty1498X-Terra Pro just lower the Sensitivity down below 20 and it will help out with the jumpy VDI and I have mine set at 12 Sensitivity and when I get a Jumpy VDI, I know that it's a JUNK Target And Or Something Aluminum Metal and I also have the All Metal Mode On and that helps me to eliminate digging up ALOT of the Iron Target's that the Simplex + Was always telling me that there's a Valid Great Sounding Quarter Tone Targets but instead it's a JUNK Steel Target and bottle caps but just lower the Sensitivity down to 15 and I have Park 1 15mhz and iron Bias minus ➖ 4 and swing speed 3 and also make sure to ground balance and noise cancel it and the jumpy VDI for me only shows up when I get a Junk Target And I have dug a few up just to make sure it was right and it was.....😮
@@dusty1498 And I also have the All Tone's on it and I have tried it out with depth Tone's and All Metal Mode and it's a little bit different than what I'm use to be hearing from the detector and I haven't been using it that much lately but definitely ALL Tone's 👍.... and anything lower than 20 on the Sensitivity and I have found a target that is in the 6 inch range and I kept lowering the Sensitivity down until I couldn't hear it and then I started raising the sensitivity up until I Did and I was at 12 Sensitivity and like I said before when I get a Jumpy VDI it's going to be a junk signal target but also when a coin target it's going to jump a number Or two and that's normal for any kind of detector Ever made, but when it's going to -4 to 94 it's a JUNK Target And I hope that helps with the X-Terra Pro and I love it ❤️❤️ and it's my first and favorite Minelab Detector's and I also Now have the Equinox 600 that I traded the Simplex + for it and still the X-Terra Pro is the Best....

Would like to see how to pair a set of wireless headphones. I've tried a dozen or more times. Bluetooth icon with 3 dots show its paired, but its not. Typically on most devices it'll indicate that the headphones are paired successfully. I ASSUME they are, but they're not. A step by step procedure would be helpful.

Right matey, first of all thanks for taking the time to explain the important stuff about the machine. Secondly, I'm a total beginner & haven't got the foggiest what you're talking about😁 I’m more confused now than when I started watching 30 minutes ago. I guess that with a little patience & perseverance, oh & action out in the field I’ll get there in the end? It’s just all the new jargon matey, it’s like a foreign language 😂 Just before I go, would you strongly recommend the ultra as after a few months I don’t want to upgrade to the Legend say, & feel like I’ve wasted money on the ultra in the first place. In a nutshell, will the ultra find me good objects, when used correctly? Thanks again, sorry for rambling 👍
If your not going to detect the beach go for the ultra , if you are then the legend as it’s smf and will perform better on the beach. Tbh The simplex ultra will find you plenty and be the only detector you will ever need , there will be advantages of more expensive in certain situations but not much . What type of land will you be searching , farmland pasture , arable or ploughed

@@PeterPan-oz4sq Hi, I have a Garett pinpointer, uses 9 volt battery, and it’s great, found quarters in the sand that I couldn’t see, but I wish i had the Nokta “banana”, that’s rechargeable.
I saw the video on the test version and thought that was a great feature. Hopefully they will address that. They're usually pretty good about listening to their users feedback.@@HistoryRevisiteduk

When using the accupointer pinpointer, the audio switches from detector to accupointer then back to detector when the accupointer is switched off. At least when using headphones, not sure about without.

THANKYOU , yes turn Bluetooth on on the ultra and have you headphone turned on, will pair automatically
On the Simplex + they will just stop and I would have to turn it off and on again and again just to get it figured out again

Yes , I’ve sent a few things to nokta , they know about the volumes of the tone buckets need adjusting and a few other tweeks

As 4 tone is more agile Id say park filters 99 prob different altogether

Quick question boss. How do i reset it to the factory settings. I searched in google but it only shows the Nocta Simlex+.
Settings bar and all the way to the right you will see 2 circling arrows
How do you factory reset
Look for the revolving arrows in the far right sub menu

There was a few things I mentioned after initial testing , which havmt come with the released version , hopefully these will be in future update

Does it Have a stable VDI numbers on a target at depth? That is the One area the Xterra pro lacks.
Target Id is customisable for deep and shallow targets for stability of Id , works really well
