Kistler Helium's are nice. Another Great video. Your channel is so underrated, you'd think float tubers would be all over it by the way you show how well they do.
Awesome. You’re killin me man lol. Still very much on the injured list but at least I’m entertained. Great action, beer, and intel. Nice video Dr Jones 😉
Thanks for checking out the video. This is near the Bahia Resort. I launched at the swim beach area between the Bahia and the West Mission Bay Bridge. Good luck out there!
Hey Chris, great vid! How are you fishing those jigs? Let them sink to the bottom with a steady retrieve or bouncing them off the bottom? Or keep them closer to the surface? Thanks in advance
Hey thanks for reaching out and checking out the video. I let it drop near the bottom and bounce it back. Sometimes depending on the current I’ll bounce it over top of the eel grass. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Another stellar video. I am another local grew up on the ridge overlooking MB in American Park( north of Bay Park) . My wife and I spent one night of our honeymoon in one of the beach cottages on Vacation Island the one you circled in this video. It used to be called Vacation Village but someone bought it and changed the name to Paradise Point Resort. I have a Shimano BFS ML casting rod and Piscidun carbon x reel I have been wanting to use in both bays. My only worry is losing a keeper halibut because of the light line. But watching you fish this lighter gear is moving me to do it. I gotta up my game and skill level. Thanks for the inspiration.😎
That’s amazing! Thanks for sharing. For sure get out there and do it. The worst case scenario you hook a massive fish and lose it. (See last MB video). Cheers! Get em!
I suck at fishing mission bay from the shore. Super weedy. I like the Cabela's grub in a similar color. The tail action is insane. Got a bunch in a bag of plastics I bought on offer up. Might have to give mission bay a try soon. I think the big bay has larger spotties but they usually start lurking just after dark.
Hey thanks for checking out the video! The weeds can be annoying but bringing the baits right across the top can be very effective. Get out there and get some!

@@chrisbrandtthebeefshaman I get if a light or dark color is easier for them to see under certain conditions (clouds, etc), but the color itself... I don't buy it...
Extremely fun for us addicted anglers to watch! Keep ‘em coming Chris!
Thanks so much! Cheers!

Thanks and I appreciate the support. It’s growing little by little. Thanks for helping spread the word.
Great video. Thanks for showing lure changes. I’m taking notes.
Thanks for watching and glad to share. Cheers!
Just started watching your vids, love them, keep them up!
Glad you like them! Many more to come. Cheers!

Hey my pleasure for sure! Glad to entertain. Cheers and continued speedy recovery.
Love the information. Great video!
Cheers! Thanks!
What part of the bay is this? I’m going this weekend and want to try for some spotties.

What size spinning reels do you like to use?
I usually use the Shimano 1000 sizes for most freshwater uses and for smaller bay purposes. Sometimes for ultralight I’ll scale down to 500.
@@chrisbrandtthebeefshamanwhat size line are you putting on a Shimano 1000 for the bay?
@@CevicheTheory I think he said 8 #. But he seems to be in BFS range with 4 and 6# too.

I deff dont think color makes a hge difference. That toasted biscuit looks good though!
Thanks for watching! It’s always fun to try to see if things make a difference. Cheers!
MB is firing right now.
That is a fact! Cheers!
I was using 4lb and 6lb

Thanks for checking out the video. Yes, I concur! Cheers!
Winter time they seem to eat razor clams. A bit of red on a swim bait is usually a good call
Thanks for checking out the video! I’ll keep that in mind. Cheers!
Lure color is highly overrated... possibly the least important part of a presentation...

Agreed. I have my preference for both light and dark but I think we all do. Cheers!
