Man...I moved away from San Diego last year :( God I miss fishing the bay, those rock pilings on the opposite side, closer to the naval base I'd always get smashed over there! Halibut too!

@@j-al6362 Go to shelter island, from the main boat launch, go all the way across the opposite side of the bay...there's a military base, you want to hit up all of those rock pilings, docks, and shore line.....i'm not sure if halibut is there at this time of the year, but that's where tons of people were catching them around August, 2023

Great post. I always learn something when I watch your posts. I would loved to have seen what your sonar looked like over that deeper structure. Also, what weight of jig head do you use on that A-rig around docks and moored boats. I’m thinking about picking up a rod to throw that around in the bays. You guys seem to do pretty well with it. A little anxious to see you backlash with $40 worth of tackle tied on, though!
